I have one too Steve and they are great guitars for the money. Great playing as always!
I have had this one now for a couple of years now. Starting to break in.
@@stevebernard221 Nice Demo Man 👍
Fantastic feel and picking on that fantastic guitar, I owne one my selfe! Mary Christmas!! :)
Sounds great! how is the low end? And how is it holding up after this past year?
No complaints about the guitar! It doesn't get played everyday, but when it do it's always a pleasure.
Hi Steve, I have the same guitar but mine sounds less good. Have you replaced the original strings? What are the new ones?
I have D'addario XS mediums on it. I'm not sure what the original strings were on the instrument.
Sounds great!! How
Is the bottom end???
Do these come with a case when new?
Lots of bottom end in my opinion. It's surprising when you play it along side of other Gibson's and Martin's. It's full and balanced in my opinion.
Unfortunately no case comes with it. I bought one of the new Epi delux cases for it.
Are you deaf?
I loved to hear one up against a Kalamazoo made excellente
Me too! But getting my hands on a vintage one is pretty challenging where I live.
The Kalamazoo factory made less than 150 so pretty challenging where ever you are.
What strings have you found work best on the Excellente? Just ordered one and want it sounding just like yours.
nevermind, I literally saw you just posted them in the description! thanks
You still have that acoustic? Is it really natural and are you American
Yes, I still have this guitar.
I’m looking at excellente or frontier. Which one do you think plays/sounds better overall?
I find the neck really comfortable on the Frontier. The Excellente has a more "fuller" or "deeper" sound. The Frontier is really clear and balanced. I think either guitar is a good choice, though. Good luck with it!
@@stevebernard221 but if you had to choose one! I think I’m liking the sound of the excellente more, but I can get a frontier for around 700 and the excellente is going to be $300 more. I’m wondering if the sound difference is worth the extra $300?
Appealing to an expert because I can’t find any to actually play in real life. I’m just going off of CZcams reviews.
@BenjaminAHarper My first choice was the Excellente. It's deep, lush sounding, and has all the right specs. A question....what is your current go to guitar?
@@stevebernard221 well I just have a Yamaha that I don’t love. Trying to sell it and get one if these! I mostly play electric, but I think that’s just bc I don’t dig my acoustic
try elixir 12-56!
I haven't used Elixirs in years. I may try again at some point!
I use those strings
