You can't play MTS Online though because it will ANNOY YOU TO DEATH! It will ask 10 Million times if you want to use it!
of course it doesn't. The only way it prevents activation of a spell or trap is if they're continuous. And if the your opponent has mirror force or some trap that negates or stops your attack. That's what I use it for
MST fell because Twin Twister double negates.

MST truly is one of the most well-designed cards of all time, to be able to be relevant for 17 years and despite more powerful cards coming in, it can still find niches. It took 15+ years to power creep it off its throne. MST is a hall of fame worthy card.

Mystical Space Typhoon has become a timeless classic and nowadays is more of a complimentary card to stuff like twin twisters.

Even without MST mirage of Nightmare is a very strong card. Since you usually keep around 2 cards in your hand that means you get to draw 2 and throw out 2 which effectively means you get to choose which of the top 3 cards of your deck you want to draw.
So it's pretty much like having a mirage of greed activate every turn but without the special summon restriction and also get to mill 2 cards as well.
I did play a format where 1 banned card was allowed and I actually picked it a few times. In a graveyard heavy deck with several powerful playmakers just the ability to search through your deck at like 3 cards a turn and also set up the graveyard at the same time just is incredibly strong.
Very good video. You have good knowledge of the card background. Learning about the card history was intriguing. I stop using MST and started using newer backrow destruction cards like Twin Twisters when the AI used it against me in Ygopro. That when I took some pointers from the computer and adapted it to my game. I then realize how much better and efficient my deck was when competing against the AI when dueling with other card destruction cards than I did when using MST.
Alright as a sky striker player myself I have to correct some things you said.
The field spell summons Raye as long as it is sent to the graveyard by card effect. It doesn't have to be destroyed. If it did, then it wouldn't interact with Multirole.
Area zero excavates first and if you excavated a sky striker card, then (and only then) you would SEND the targeted card to the graveyard.

Some Demise decks STILL use MST due to the fact that it doesn't have a cost instead of cosmic cyclone or twin twisters. Cosmic less so as it depends on the mu. As a stun player, I'd rather use my lp for solemns, but again, it depends on the MU. Signed- A former Barrier Statue player, turned Boarder Stun player.
Y'know, with lots of boards aiming to set up negations, I'm surprised no one is playing the best negation card in decks like dragon link.

sky striker plays it, but not because it negates multirole, cosmic cyclone does that better, it's because it activates their field spell

The rise and fall series is a tragic story of cards/archetypes that were once meta, but are now forgotten by Konami/players. Only new support would make these cards viable again...

Jaden mained deck R-Rightous Justice and Oversoul insted of some good staples like MST or Monster Reborn.
Mirage of Nightmare was a very potent card even without MST. Since if you had 2 cards in your hand during your opponent's turn you could draw 2. Which combined with the 1 you drew during your turn meant you could have better cards since you could choose which of the 2 you threw out. Also they were sent to the graveyard and so could be revived.
With that it pretty much means you never can have a bad draw. since among the 3 cards you drew there is almost certainly one you need.
I loved using it in Masked Heroes deck. I even use to main deck 3 of them in a lot of my decks in the old days.
Honestly really enjoy the rise and fall series. I played original DM, stuck my finger in the water of 5ds after skipping GX, skipped Zexal, and then have played since the pendulum era. Its nice to see and know what i have missed

I will always find it funny that you mentioned Jaden with Mirage of Nightmare cause SOLOMON FREAKING MUTO did the same thing earlier in the final DM filler arc in his duel with Joey (Which funnily enough is where Joey did the Giant Trunade bounce Premature Burial to use the latter again combo which is how he won. I'm not making this up)

You have to discard one card though. Plus, you can't chain the card either, since it prevents activation of all card effects and doesn't allow effects to be activated in response to it. While it means opponents can't negate it in response, downsides are still discarding one card and you can't chain it

scythermantis I’m not talking about speed dueling. I’m talking about regular duels. Super poly effects state “cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this card’s activation” meaning you can’t chain card effects in response

But you said "you can't chain Super Polymerization", which is false.
You can chain Super Polymerization to any effect that it is valid to chain a Quick-Play Spell to, but it is impossible to chain any other effects to Super Polymerization afterwards.
@@scythermantis super poly could only be used in certain decks and if the meta calls for it. MST had longevity and was a main deck staple until the release of twin twister and comic cyclone

The combo was actually emergency provisions and Mirage of Nightmare jaden would often do this to gain a big advantage by drawing 4 cards and gaining 1000 to 3000 LP from the cards he set
You should do a yugioh history about some of the cards released from the F/L list because of erratas and how they’ve fared in their return. Or how some cards needing to be banned in the past have returned to have little to no impact

I still have a playset but they collect dust in the binder, I only use Twin Twisters now.
When Solemn Judgement got unlimited and we got new Archetypes with their own Infernity Barriers, MST became a better choise because of it's simplicity - no discard cost, no life point cost.

Though to be honest it was pretty confusing. Since Continuous spell/trap cards are not like that. If you play Imperial Order you can stop it with MST despite it being a spell card.

Actually Jaden commonly used Emergency Provisions to combo with Mirage of Nightmare but at least the principal of the combo is the same. Get Mirage off the field before he has pay its cost.

The picture of MST in the beginning is spell card but says its from MRL. Wouldnt it be from SRL at that point or am i just crazy?
MST doesn't even make sense. What even is a Space Typhoon? What makes this one so Mystical? Is there such a thing as a non-mystical Space Typhoon? How can a Typhoon form in space, if it requires high wind pressures, in what is seemingly a vacuum? Where did that lightning bolt come from? Is the lightning the "Mystical" part of it and if so does that mean there is something inherently mystical about lightning? What is so Mystical about this Space Typhoon in a world of monsters, magic and so on, that is Yugioh? What causes it to destroy one Spell or Trap card?
Imagine a, IDK, a Marauding captain in combat with something like an Axe of Despair and then a -galactic overlord- Mystical Space Typhoon descends from the heaven and shatters his axe or something. Is that how this works?
And most of all when in the new Venom support coming out???????

A true philosopher, you are. 🧐 Maybe Space doesn’t mean Outer Space but something in a certain area. Maybe Mystical because of its magical attributes, a spell card and can destroy other spell/trap cards. Typhoon? Idk why it isn’t a hurricane instead, perhaps due to its geographical location. 🤷♂️
