The 993 GT2 is such a beautiful car. Love the fact that the close-ups in this video show that this specific GT2 is actually driven (some dings on the front). Morgan's commentary actually made this quite an interesting video, perhaps you could bring him back to make another?
Brilliant car, beautiful road and scenery, amazing filming and editing. Really, really enjoyed the video! Thank you, Carfection! Hope to see more videos like this soon as well as reviews of the new models (with Alex of course!)
I have to say, I absolutely loved this episode. The presenter was perfect, the car, fantastic, the scenery, beautiful, interviewing the owner, creative and not done much with car videos. I just loved the whole thing, great job, can't wait to see more like this.
Liked it before I watched it, just knew I'd love it. Literally my favourite car of all time massive thanks for a beautiful video! It is a shame re price these have become million pound cars. I will own a 993 one day though, even a C2S or C4S will do but must be Turbo body :D
This is a fantastic video! I'm so glad to see Mr. Morgan taking us around the car and giving us his insight. It's wonderful that he agreed to do this video and I hope he does many more. Well done Mr. Morgan & well done Carfection!!
Taking a 993 Turbo and putting GT2 bits on it, doesn't make it a GT2. It makes it a modified 993 Turbo! Which it what this car is. If you want to test a GT2 then get one don't try and palm off a replica as the real thing.
Exactly! I don't think this channel can get any credit when it doesn't even realize how uninteresting it is to present unshamedly replicas and test them as an original... The same goes for the owner: don't interview an owner of a modified Turbo when you're trying to share the ownership experience of a GT2 owner. Let's not even mention the roads chosen for this car! It must have been horrendous driving a "GT2" on this type of road... I own a 964rs, which is narrower and doesn't have turbo lag and I wouldn't ever want to drive on these roads. The car just doesn't shine on these stretches. What a shame. C'mon, raise your game XCar, you can and have done much better!!!
@rlaw22 ... if you'll notice it doesn't say GT2 anywhere on the car only GT. This car is actually the precursor to the GT2 and should only be called the GT. This model was indeed manufactured by Porsche and a little work on your end could have helped your knowledge base
Awesome video of my all time favourite Porsche. The 993 is, in my honest opinion, the best 911 to date. And the GT2, it's finest version. I was very pleased to see Charles Morgan in the video, he's a great presenter. Hope to see him in your videos more often. Good work
Hot dam, Charles Morgan comes across (unsurprisingly) like the definitive gentleman driver. Loved it, true passion, true credentials, and some timeless poetry to wrap it up. I say well done, guys ! Mr Morgan deserves more episodes, please. Keep on trucking ! (from France)
+Chris Dorgan DUDE SRSLY. im like oh damn an original 993 GT2 4mins later "so this isn't an original"....this is why i want a 993 anything C2,C4 build my own GT2
Nice work getting Mr. Morgan as the host for this one; he does a fantastic job! Beautifully done and a good approach at a different type of feature beyond the typical car review. Please keep those too since that's what brought me to your channel.
Best ever is a bold but POV accurate. It raced a hard as it could in the GT2 class but never locked it down. The prior gen as well as this model had some fun in Japan winning Super GT races and championships.
993 is the pinnacle of Porsche 911. The looks, the design, the fat rear, the stance... perfection. Sure the newer Porsches are better and faster but not everything is measured by numbers.
Or maybe investing money in a CZcams channel, while having a blast, is way more intriguing than denying the fact that Morgan Co is a dying company that refused to go further and step in the new era of technology. I'm a fan of Morgan cars, their looks and charm will never die, but the car manufacturing industry is developing so fast that if you fall asleep for just one second you'll loose all contact with the leading group. Big Ups for @Carfaction - change is always a must and not an option. I hope that you continue to spoil us with the best car affection videos for a long long time.
That thing looks intense, what a monster. And Charles Morgan?! Who knew this guy was so good as a presenter! Top notch film, the best this channel has put out in a long long time.
I really liked the video. The music compliments the emotions that's been tried (and succeeded) to get across and adds to it's value as an artistic product. It was a nice blend of facts about the car and the emotions it invokes. I have not watched Mr. Morgan as a car journalist (or rather as a reviewer) before and though I don't know if he has done it beforehand, I felt he has done a good job of relaying the message. I especially liked the poem at the end and the way he read it, which is admittedly a rather odd thing to like in a show about cars :). The video made me feel nostalgic and emotional, and for that I thank you. I am really pleased with the direction Carfection is headed. There are a lot of "guys with GoPros, driving cars" out there and your videos' quality of writing and/or commentary, high production values and general artistic look is sorely needed and appreciated. Some people would like you to omit the music and let us just listen to the engine. Whereas I would agree with the notion in most cases, I strongly disagree with it in your case. Your products are works of art that aim to invoke strong feelings in the viewer and music (at least the ones you choose) is an integral and an inseparable part of creating the atmosphere that will help achieve that goal. Keep up the very good work guys. Cheers.
+Christian Nelson Still can't identify the group who made the music though. Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine, Thomas Bergersen. Would like to know the artist and track. Shazam didn't find it.
Glorious Porsche. I'm a huge fan of Porsches and this is right up there in my eyes as one of the most coveted. I winced watching this video - that front splitter!
in every Porsche Review, most reviewers says "this is the greatest car/Porsche ever made" and that's means every Porsche is just amazing, talking about cars like the one in the video, maybe the RS line also, GT3RS, GT2RS, Carrera RS, Carrera GT, 959, Cayman GT4 and for sure the 918... I just can't get enough of Porsche
Cinematography is great but for the love of god I WANT TO HEAR THE ENGINE. 6 minutes spent puttering around with overly dramatic music in the background is the reason why I'm not subscribed to the Porsche channel. Other than that, Charles is a great addition.
Y'know... I'm not a big Porsche guy. I respect the GT2 but I have no real love for it. But Charles Morgan's charisma and enthusiasm... It gets me really excited
great video! most people don't know how hard it is to edit a video this well! getting the video to match the beat of the music! as always good job! you guys keep getting better and better! keep it up!
He's bloody good on camera if this film is anything to go by, such a strong personality, which you really don't expect from a retired car company exec. I hope he does more to be honest.
+ElTyranto 956? Really? They're really pretty, but still drive like shit in comparison to any modern porsche. 917 is a race car... It might be the greatest porsche racing car, but as far as road cars go its either this or the yellowbird as the other guy said. But I don't know if I'd really put the yellowbird in the same category, since RUF is technically an aftermarket tuner.
One of the best Porsches of all times :) The problem with Porsche cars is that there are so many good ones! I am more of a GT3RS type of person than a Turbo/GT2 type of person... and I wish I could try the 997 GT2RS one day as it is one of the only modern Porsches that I haven't driven. That being said, of all the generations of Porsches, I think that the most beautiful looking is the 993 ... and the F355 for Ferraris.
Brilliant video, in my opinion! The Lake District is beautiful. The car is special. And the incorporation of Wordsworth is delightful, for an English Literature fanatic!
Good job Charles Morgan. Very Passionate. Well communicated. I feel the same about my brothers clk63 BlackSeries and to my boss 302. The same emotional connection.
I thought the video was brilliant, and Charles Morgan is an exceptional host and speaker among his various other accomplishments. And the scenery was amazing. Does anybody know where this film was shot?
I’ve only just discovered Charles Morgan’s reviews but his style is very refreshing when most reviewers are trying to sound like Chris Harris wannabes.
stop playing music over the sound of the car. bring back xcar
+Jack Naylor This channel was formerly XCAR.
thats the point of my comment.. they have changed
+Jack Naylor literally only in name, and Al has moved on. Its the same production company.
which one is al?
Yeah the music blows
The 993 GT2 is such a beautiful car. Love the fact that the close-ups in this video show that this specific GT2 is actually driven (some dings on the front). Morgan's commentary actually made this quite an interesting video, perhaps you could bring him back to make another?
3 years on and this is still the best, most exhilarating, car video on CZcams. The intro gets me every time.
That road he is driving on is just silly!
+youngprankster94 What the actual fuck? On what drugs are you?
+youngprankster94 How old are you?
Fanboy with attention issues?
agree! beautiful backdrop but a terrible road for most "fast" cars, nevermind a gt2! probably was off-boost all the time ! ;)
+TheFreakyGames I want what he's on.
Brilliant car, beautiful road and scenery, amazing filming and editing. Really, really enjoyed the video! Thank you, Carfection! Hope to see more videos like this soon as well as reviews of the new models (with Alex of course!)
I always loved the air scoops in the rear wing. Such a cool function-driven design.
I have to say, I absolutely loved this episode. The presenter was perfect, the car, fantastic, the scenery, beautiful, interviewing the owner, creative and not done much with car videos. I just loved the whole thing, great job, can't wait to see more like this.

In time, you'll own one, drive one and brag about the best one that you had driven. The 993!
+MONKY LONDON Dont you have a BMW e30?
You, wankstain!
+youngprankster94 Be patient.... might be a Mercedes on the way ; )
This is a fantastic video! I'm so glad to see Mr. Morgan taking us around the car and giving us his insight. It's wonderful that he agreed to do this video and I hope he does many more. Well done Mr. Morgan & well done Carfection!!
I can honestly say Carfection became my favorite youtube channel.
I absolutely adore the emotion that can be seen in every video.
Taking a 993 Turbo and putting GT2 bits on it, doesn't make it a GT2. It makes it a modified 993 Turbo! Which it what this car is. If you want to test a GT2 then get one don't try and palm off a replica as the real thing.

+mineisanrs OK point taken, thanks, we will try and get the car to a track budget permitting
Replica???
@rlaw22 ... if you'll notice it doesn't say GT2 anywhere on the car only GT. This car is actually the precursor to the GT2 and should only be called the GT. This model was indeed manufactured by Porsche and a little work on your end could have helped your knowledge base

I was very pleased to see Charles Morgan in the video, he's a great presenter. Hope to see him in your videos more often. Good work
This car is the reason why I dislike RWB. You show this to a non-porsche enthusiast and first reaction is "something something RWB."
I know what you mean, but I stop short of hating on RWB, and tend more toward pointing those who don't know in the direction of the 993 GT2 / Turbo.
Harry Metcalfe (Harry's Garage channel here on youtube) has a 993 GT2 creation too. Started life as a Turbo. Stunning car too.
You guys missed it on this one. Not enough driving, not enough exhaust. Too much talking and a road made for a jeep!
+Jay C roads are not made for Jeeps. Jeeps make their own roads.
+Harrison Conyers and then get stuck and need a land cruiser to pull them out :P
Sean Taylor
let me know how that ifs works out for you bud
+Jay C That looks more than a Jeep could handle without getting stuck or breaking down. There is gravel.
+Jay C Point taken, you are right on full song the exhaust is like the 1812 overture by Tchaikovsky
My favorite car ever made.
quite possibly!
Agreed. ...and I'll never even get to step into one, let alone own one. :-(
Hot dam, Charles Morgan comes across (unsurprisingly) like the definitive gentleman driver.
Loved it, true passion, true credentials, and some timeless poetry to wrap it up.
I say well done, guys !
Mr Morgan deserves more episodes, please.
Keep on trucking ! (from France)
Quite possibly my favourite car film on the interweb. Absolutely brilliant work, keep Charles Morgan coming!
4.44 - so this isn't a Porsche 911 993 GT2... I'll go get my kit car and make some videos about it being the best car ever built.
+Chris Dorgan DUDE SRSLY. im like oh damn an original 993 GT2 4mins later "so this isn't an original"....this is why i want a 993 anything C2,C4 build my own GT2
an original is valued at 1.75M euros...
Nice work getting Mr. Morgan as the host for this one; he does a fantastic job! Beautifully done and a good approach at a different type of feature beyond the typical car review. Please keep those too since that's what brought me to your channel.
My god, these videos are so beautifully shot the cinematography is top notch
+Law19157 All credit to Seb Ford and Cameron Fraser, they work like dervishes all day
Some of Carfection's best work yet. Well done boys and girls.
Best ever is a bold but POV accurate.
It raced a hard as it could in the GT2 class but never locked it down.
The prior gen as well as this model had some fun in Japan winning Super GT races and championships.
a brilliant job from Mr. Morgan and the team, wouldn't say no to watching him again.
still my dream gt2 and will always be in my top 10 dream Porsches

Very very nice indeed film , the music make it even better . Well done chaps !
Absolutely my favourite Porsche model too. Great review.
993, my favorite model of the 911...
Charles great to see you back. Great video. Need to see more of Charles Morgan on Carfection
would love to see you guys cover the 993 GT1
absolute favorite car of all time
Looks like a less extreme RWD kit.
I *LOVE* it.
Charles Morgan, nice to see you sir.

Glorious Porsche. I'm a huge fan of Porsches and this is right up there in my eyes as one of the most coveted. I winced watching this video - that front splitter!
Astonishing car from the analogue era ! What a masterpiece !
yes! It is very compelling!
this is absolutely terrific

my boy Morgan is back!!
No sound bytes of that lovely Porsche? XCAR would have never committed such a travesty...
@@Carfection where was it filmed.
Wow! Those rear scoops are sweet. This video brings out the teenage boy in me. And Charles Morgan is possibly the best host I've seen thus far.
Favorite generation 911 right there.
great video! most people don't know how hard it is to edit a video this well! getting the video to match the beat of the music! as always good job! you guys keep getting better and better! keep it up!
What a great episode!
Another wonderful video. Thanks Charles.
so, charles morgan went from boss of respected car company to car journalist?
+rockzs74r Maybe that's his idea of retirement? Driving cool cars while doing some talking haha.
+boy638 yeah, he is pretty good in his job now and its must be more enjoyable
He's bloody good on camera if this film is anything to go by, such a strong personality, which you really don't expect from a retired car company exec. I hope he does more to be honest.
***** What is he doing now besides hosting your show?
***** All the better! Love the film, Charles is perfect for the job.
Great video! Love the commentary and the nice shots of the car.
What an absolutely fantastic piece of film.. This was just wonderful.. A clip or two of the engine noise alone would've been appreciated though..
If this is the direction that Xfection is going...more please! Stunning video overall! Please keep up the great work!
What a stunner. My favourite-looking 911. A beast!
Great debut Charles!
Stunning vid man and the Porsche 🍺
charles morgan, whaaaat, man i love that man. i would buy a morgan just because of him
Oh, and more from Charles please, what a great story teller and presenter.
With these cars we all know the specs and reviews. This format does a good job.
Nice Video, nice Host - good quality and taste. Rare to find those days. Only thing missing is bit more driving action and car sound.
Wow, Charles Morgan doing reviews with Carfection! Definitely lays a layer of class on things. I mean, the guy is quoting poetry lol! I dig it!
Personally I'm more partial to older Carrera RSs, but I have nothing but respect for this
More car reviews from Charles Morgan! That was excellent.
We need to have him present more often going forward. I loved the reading of the poem at the end!
Wow, this cars eastethics blown me. And it's light too it must drive awesome as they say.
Fantastic presenting. Looking forward to these
The best Porsche ever made ? Bit of a stretch
+Hariz Hafi Not really! it can only be this or the yellowbird.
+Jolinator 917/30 the 935 K3 Kremer and the 956C are the best Porsches in my opinion
+Jolinator Yellowbird is RUF -.-
+ElTyranto 956? Really? They're really pretty, but still drive like shit in comparison to any modern porsche.

"drive like shit in comparison to any MODERN porsche"
Are you fucking kiding me?
Just love this car. Looks so good.
very nicely put together upload!!! well done
the only downside "its not a genuine GT2"
Stunning car, stunning road! Need to get to the Lake District this year!
As usual xcar carfection , amazin video ! pls give us the soundtrack list.
Greatest Porsche road car ever on the worst road of all time. The amount of times the nose hit the deck I'm quite glad it wasn't an original GT2!
excellent car and excellent presenter
beautiful editing
I love this car too bits
Cool car and the owner even cooler sporting his Sean Edwards foundation jacket :)
favorite video yet
One of the best Porsches of all times :) The problem with Porsche cars is that there are so many good ones! so stunning this porsche
Definitely in the top 4.
Best. Porsche. EVER.
Well done Sir Morgan
Brilliant video, in my opinion! The Lake District is beautiful. The car is special. And the incorporation of Wordsworth is delightful, for an English Literature fanatic!
Good job Charles Morgan. Very Passionate. Well communicated. I feel the same about my brothers clk63 BlackSeries and to my boss 302. The same emotional connection.
+Nikos Leonardos and to the NSX, ahh the nsx
it's astonishing how many can't pronounce Porsche correctly.
+Braai Meester Even a collector...
***** Poorsha
+Braai Meester no, astonishing is the number of germans crying over this
Henry Floyd
Actually I do, I'm the one pronouncing it so I can do it however the fuck I want.
+Mohammed Khaled PooooeeeeerschuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHH, with emphasis on the HHHHHHH. Any other way is just plain wrong.
It is the greatest 911 with the gt3 rs 4.0 and the 1992´ gt3 rs!
amazing video... we want more of this please!
gotta say the 997 GT2 and 991 GT3 still top my list over this
I thought the video was brilliant, and Charles Morgan is an exceptional host and speaker among his various other accomplishments. And the scenery was amazing. Does anybody know where this film was shot?
I agree ......best Porsche of all time
That road would make a perfect rally stage!
It looks like the Wrynose and Hardknott pass in the Lake District. Colin McRae did take a rally car over them.
I’ve only just discovered Charles Morgan’s reviews but his style is very refreshing when most reviewers are trying to sound like Chris Harris wannabes.
More Charles Morgan please!
I"ll gladly take this tribute.
Still my favorite Porsche of all time, I can't really explain why it just ticks all the right boxes for me.
OK now I'm subscribed to Carfection again
so beautiful
Excellent film.
