I went to the gym regularly last year to feel healthier and was working out… this guy walked by, stared at me and said to my face “Why do fat chicks like you keep coming to the gym? I'm far too insecure to go to a gym, even though I really need to. Luckily my health insurance covers physical therapy with no co-pay so I'll be getting a referral from my doctor at my next appointment, in 10 days, just so I can build enough muscle tone back up to be able to better care for my 79 year old mother who just finished radiation treatment for breast cancer. And people like that butthead that spoke so rudely to you are the reason why my insurance company will have to shell out thousands of dollars for PT instead of just paying for a gym membership for me. (Yeah, that's also included in my plan. I'm lucky to have good coverage.)
I just had two young girls at the gym who called me a fat pig, giggled to each other, and decided to dry heave / pretend to puke at the sight of me. I’ve lost over 100 lbs and I am still overweight, but nowhere near who I used to be. Instead of breaking me, it enraged me. This was in Planet Fitness too. “Judgement free zone”?
Gym equipment is expensive, granted she probably could invest in it with how much she spends on a gym membership. Also even if she lived in an apartment they probably wouldn’t have all the equipment she’s looking for to target certain areas of her body. The gym at my apartments only has a treadmill and a lateral pull bar that’s not gonna give you the same affect and results as a gym.
@@deniseeugene1852 that's not the point of his content he does reaction videos of disrespectful ppl at the gym💀 literally ppl would tag him an sht and he reacts to it, if he sees someone being mad rude at the gym then he's gonna say something, there's literally no reason to be trash
I don't want to be filmed. Period. At the gym. At target. At the grocery store. At the park. On the street. At a bar. It’s so dystopian that simply because there isn’t a reasonable expectation of privacy, people feel entitled to film anyone anywhere anytime. Especially at malls or filming service workers… it’s gross and unethical. Whether it’s legal or not isn’t even the question. It’s whether it’s right or wrong.
Nd then you get folk justifying it by saying “CCTV is everywhere already!” As though there isn’t a massive difference between CCTV and some random influencer filming you.
@horvathsogranfume658 God you're one of those. Who the fuck cares. Somebody should still be allowed to have the right to not want to be on camera and posted for thousands or millions of people to see. It's RUDE. Super disrespectful. she's allowed to record and people are allowed to complain about it. That's how that works. A NICE person would respect that and at least blur out the faces. It's not that hard of a thing to edit. She could easily do it but she wants to be a bitch about it instead. Nobody is talking about legalities here. It's a MORAL issue. A nice person wouldn't do that. Period
She said that people should stay home if they’re insecure about their bodies… and she’s upset that people were talking about her body? She opened the door to that criticism by saying consent to being recorded is a self-esteem issue.
She's at planet fitness which is a no judgement zone. It's a good starting gym for people who are insecure and then she says that? The opposite of their whole point.
@@BarbaraKibirabut how do you know that they don’t go?🤣 you have never met them but you off assuming they’re wrong. She deserves everything that comes to her
Social media has ruined the experience of going to the gym. I can’t believe this chick seriously said “you are too insecure to go to the gym if you don’t want strangers to film you working out. gain confidence at your home gym first.” It’s the same idiocy as the people who body shame and make fun of overweight people at the gym. DO Y’ALL NOT UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF A GYM? No one should be going there as a way to get attention and treating it as a social event. My god.
They usually do. Every gym I have worked at the policy is that there is no photo or video allowed without written manager approval. No one respects it and we don't get paid enough to patrol the floor and tell everyone to stop filming. Plus, you saw that confrontation when someone walked in that first guy's shot. Imagine asking him to stop filming......
@lovemandagrace you must go to some weird gyms. I've never been to one that doesn't allow filming because stopping people from doing form checks is bullshit
@@shararmEvery gym I have been to has also had no photos/videos including other people policies. Folk are free to film themselves but not in the way of/ including other people. People go to workout, not to be filmed in some muppet’s video.
As a trainer, I think this is a more nuanced conversation than this. Form checks specifically are an important part of training, especially as you get heavier. For online coaches, but also just for the average user. So not being able to film at all, gets rid of that. I don’t think content creators should be filing in big box gyms though, I currently don’t have a private gym available to me, so I don’t film anything other than form & prs 🤷♀️
Worked at a gym for years, I can say with certainty that the majority of my clients did not want to be on camera for many reasons , not just insecurity
I don't wanna be recorded because I am going all out and my ass rank and sweaty and the faces I make while holding plank are not meant to be recorded plus I am a swearer when I am in pain 😂
I’m a server so, often I walk into the backgrounds of photos accidentally because of customers celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, etc and every time I just remove myself from the area completely. This, though, is work. Outside of work, I am allowed to exist. I am allowed to go about my day without having to worry about being in the background of someone’s video. ESPECIALLY at the gym. I shouldn’t have to minimize my existence because you want to maximize yours. I’m open to moving if someone asks politely, but scoffing at people moving around an area as if they claim ownership is insane.
I agree with you completely. These people feel they have the right to film themselves and not be disturbed while doing it, but other people have the right to go about their lives as well. We shouldn’t have to walk around you to keep from being filmed.
"Just because your filming doesn't mean that the area is blocked off" OMG MARKIE YOU SOLVED IT! One (or two, depending) of each type of machine gets blocked off for filming. You need to have a booked time or special membership, that way regular people don't get on it. Makes fitfluencers feel special, elite, keeps them out of our way & more!
As a DV survivor who was almost killed, she would put my safety in jeopardy. She has a whole lot of audacity! I wish they would ban and enforce no cameras in the gym
I'm hiding from a family member who used to stalk my sister and I. He watches a lot of gym content. The risk of someone recording and posting a video that shows me is a big reason I don't want to go to the gym.

I agree. Also, gym owners would be wise if they require the so-called influencers to reserve the space for a nonrefundable deposit (so if they cancel, they don't lose money).
There are influencer gyms that are starting to pop up places. It actually would be a good business venture to get involved in. Especially if other gyms start banning filming.
Imagine getting mad because someone is walking past whilst you record in a PUBLIC PLACE!! I can’t deal with arrogance generally but this level of arrogance enrages me 🙄
That's the problem ... It's not a "public place " . The gym is a private business . People purchase memberships . Film all you want in actual public places . Go work out in the park or in your own home . My local gym banned filming , ages ago . Why ? To insure safety and privacy , to its valued customers . If a member wants to send a short video to a family member or friend ( goal reached or accomplishment ) . My gym has a privacy screen and an instructor/staff member , will record for you . Most of the time other members go cheer that person on , anyway . I wouldn't go to a gym where I had to avoid tripods and people making content . 😑 That's BS and smacks of entitlement within a shared space.

I hope to start going to the gym soon myself. I’m over 50 & I’ve had 2 spinal surgeries. I know I’m going to be hopelessly out of shape. It’s hard to work up the courage to work out publicly to begin with, people like her are the reason so many give up before they even start. It’s humiliating working out when you can only do about a 1/4 of what you could do just a couple years back. No way in hell would I want to appear on someone’s gym video!
These people have convinced themselves that people wanting personal privacy is insecurities! They think anything public is free game to violate another's personal world!
yeah she probably sees that her most views go up so she keeps this mess going to keep her views up. Now she comes on here trying to play the victim when she is the one who started this with her nasty ass attitude.
Why doesn't SHE do home exercises and use a home gym. She could even ride it off as a business expense since she's trying to be an influencer. Then nobody would walk through her videos.
Some people cannot risk being on camera for safety reasons. Whaf if your vis goes viral and a woman's ex sees her in the background, and is able to resume stalking her...
Exactly. It’s why I hate first amendment auditors as well. They purposely go out and film people under the banner of ‘freedom of the press.’ They will film victims of DV in police lobbies and when called out will say it’s on them to protect themselves. It’s pure arrogance and narcissism.
THANK YOU this was my first thought and the cheapest at-home equipment I have found is my Samsung watch which has free videos that show workouts that you can do but some people who have escaped situations like you described can't even afford that cause they are living pay check to pay check
Call me a Karen all you want. I report camera users constantly at the gym and the staff ALWAYS go after then immediately: planet fitness does not like cameras in their gym nor do 90% of the people there.
correct with how she responds she also dumbfounded on top of it, like how she reacts is nasty also he cant help how some fanbase might act and he never told them to act like that if they said anything bad to her etc, when you get following that big of course you get odd rotten egg or eggs you cant control. though she should just ignored bad stuff people said and moved on instead going down to their level or lower showing her true self.
Filming in a gym can be a safety issue. Imagine having an ex, moving states, thinking you're safe and then someone films in a gym and you're in the background. The video can travel the internet & the ex can find you. There's a lot of safety issues.
Yeah it’s why I hate first amendment auditors as well. They purposely go out and film people under the banner of ‘freedom of the press.’ They will film victims of DV in police lobbies and when called out will say it’s on them to protect themselves. It’s pure arrogance and narcissism.
I’ve been saying the same about those “auditors” who film in places like the DMV and post offices (but only post their videos when they harass people to the point where they get a reaction). They come back with, “You’re on CCTV everywhere you go,” etc. Sure, you’re being recorded but the difference is who’s viewing it. Those CCTV recordings aren’t made public unless there’s a reason, such as a crime being committed. “Well, if they don’t want to be recorded they shouldn’t go out in public.” But people must go to places such as the DMV, post office, grocery store, restaurant… I’ve had stalkers. It’s terrifying. People need to respect others privacy and stop recording people they don’t know.
As somebody who went from 120 KG to 62 KG, I did go to the gym, and i always felt extremely uncomfortable with the people filming in the gym. I walked past someone and their camera, and at 62 kg, i was called a 'fat bitch' i walked back to the lockers, started crying and went home. Now I work out from home. I hate the whole influence stuff. I love Joey and I agree with him on many things.
I've tried going to a public gym, but I got so anxious I had to leave. I know no one is looking at me or care, but anxiety isn't logical. I don't have the space to work out at home. I have health issues and working out would help, but going to a public gym is so so daunting even without the thought of being caught on camera or have someone be mean about using the space.
Ever since they charged me $120 for not paying during Covid (when they were CLOSED) and wouldn’t let me cancel til I paid, I will never step foot in there on PRINCIPLE
@@marykateandnoashleyoh heck no!! Make sure they didn't effect your credit and if they did, contest it. That's really shady, but I've been hearing a lot of negative things about them
I was actually member in an "influencer-friendly" gym, they had a little photo-booth and backdrops. You saw people recording themselves or taking selfies regularly, but pretty much always to the wall, not in a way that recorded other people. And no one ever complained, if you walked in front of their camera.
The great thing is Joey gets in contact with the gyms of these people and they ban the people filming. But yes people need to stop the recording in the open gym like it's a film set
Locker rooms and bathrooms are pretty much the only (non-government) places where you can be criminally charged or sued for filming regardless of permission by the owner, but we see people film in gym locker rooms all the time anyway. Banning cameras will just make people less open about it. Gyms _should_ ban filming, but even if they do, people will still film.
What if someone was in hiding from a stalker? Or in witness protection? By being in the background of someone’s video could put them in danger since most influencers tend to say what city they’re in. Also there are people whose job may or may not allow them to be online in anything other than a professional setting. There are also celebrities (real ones not “influencers”) who go to these places and try to stay low key.
Came here to say this! I had a stalker many years ago and I still don't want to show up on anyone's Facebook or Instagram posts and people usually treat me like I'm a freak for that 😂
@krmrivera83 A gym for influencers where everybody films? Brilliant!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 It would probably take less than a month for it to become a whole new sub genre of drama.
It's funny because a huge chunk of influencers only post content that's taken at a flattering angle. I could see influencers absolutely losing their minds if someone happens to film what they actually look like 😂
my gym is not “for influencers” and has a tripod you can borrow. i’ve never seen anyone shooting vids when it is busy or bothering anyone while taking videos. the problem is not the cameras, it’s people who can’t behave.
This girl Trinity is the kind of person who thinks they are never wrong. Some of these "influencers" need a big reality check. Not everything revolves around them.
I don't condone violence in the slightest, but holy WOW a lot of these 'influencers' have never been confronted with someone who will bring the same energy back to their ass. Lots of people who've never been decked- with their mouth running and writing checks that they can't fcking cash!! 🙄
Can you IMAGINE the man who pushed the dude for walking between fcking machines in his cameras line of sight, pulling that shit on the wrong Veteran? Bro. Shit is gonna get real bad before they address the cameras and recording at the gym.
Yes, another reason not to like "Content Creators." Talk about being entitled. Some people can dish it out but they can't take it. She's such a hypocrite. Her apology was a joke.
It's not so much content creators as those that call themselves influencers. You can make any kind of content, and most do so without bothering anyone. It's these folks that are like "let me influence you to be more like me" that are causing trouble.
I don’t understand how people like this can be told repeatedly what they did wrong, and why it is wrong, and they still somehow end up believing that they’re a victim and being targeted for no reason, like- Dude, do you genuinely not have any critical thinking skills. Like genuinely.
Narcissistic personality and/or some cluster B personality disorders I believe would fall under these categories of behaviors and responses/reactions to being told what they are doing is wrong and still playing the victim.
For the first 28 years of my life, myself, my siblings, and my mother had to be careful about letting it get out where we were. We had already moved/been moved several times because the person who, for our safety, couldn't know where we were, kept finding out where we were because they had a large network of people, and those people recognized us, and would tell the person where we were, which put my entire family in very dangerous situations many times, my mom being permanently disabled because of it. To this day, I am fearful of being caught in the background of a news broadcast, being caught in the background of a photo that may make its way to Instagram and become viral, being caught in the background of a viral tiktok, etc. so I do try to avoid places that are going to be constantly filmed like a theme park (a very public area where filming and photographing is expected), but areas where people are more vulnerable I expect to be more safe, like the gym. Not wanting to be filmed or photographed has nothing to do with my insecurities, it has everything to do with my safety, her view is insanely ignorant and self centered. Even if it was insecurities making it so people want privacy, that is just as valid. How crazy for her to say that lol
And even if people DO have a home gym, that doesn't mean they aren't allowed to use public spaces. Thats like saying "You have a thousand books at home, so don't set foot in this library!"
I mean, if all you want is to work out and lift, it only takes a few years of a gym membership's worth of money to buy a bench, weights, and plenty of equipment. A little more expensive to replace a sauna and whatnot if _that's_ why you like the gym, but... Worth pointing out that it's more _having the space_ than having the money.
One of the main reasons I don't want to be on camera because a lot of these people have no regard for their own safety. People will give out their whole location to the world. I don't think I'm so special that someone wants to hunt me down but lets not give then the resources to do so. Also could people stop filing videos while they are driving.
I had a similar thought in that there are people who are in programs to keep them safe from their abusers and if they are accidentally caught in the background of one these videos and their abuser see it/them it could tip them of to where the victim is living.
@@iheart801I’m not in a program but I have a mentally unstable and abusive ex husband who’s resurfaced a couple times over the years and tries to reach me or my parents. I don’t want him knowing what location I’ve been in… terrifying.
Thank you. One CZcams creator here was saying that he wanted to do a contest where a viewer could come hang out with him in his home. I was all caps expressing how much of a bad idea that was. "I don't think my fans would do anything to hurt me." Statistically they are the most likely to hurt you!
The problem with today’s society is that a lot of people lack empathy. They think that the world revolves around them and they don’t try to see things from another person’s perspective or try to understand how other people feel. If these “fitness” influencers are doing so well financially shouldn’t they be able to have enough money to have their own personal gym at home and then they wouldn’t have to worry about people walking in front of their camera as they are throwing a hissy fit.
Joey Swoll is absolutely positive. He wants all people to feel like they're able to work out and be healthy. He wants gyms to be safe places for everyone. He's great.
If you see a camera at a gym, quit the gym. The gyms aren't going to ban it until people stop going to the gym. I quit 3 gyms because of cameras filming. When I quit, I told them why I'm cancelling my membership, and I paid the penalty. I'm not afraid of people watching me, it's just uncomfortable when someone criticizes me and uses me as content, without asking. It's pretty obvious it's the fanbase the caused the whole thing. Instead of blaming the fanbase, she blamed Joey. She should've just apologized, and left it at that. Blaming a content creator for the fanbase is dumb.
I'm 5'7". I weigh 225 pounds. I turned my basement into my own home gym because public gyms have become a problem. I've been working out since middle school.
I have no issues going to a gym, and I have terrible anxiety. Confidence in public is 100000% different from potentially being exposed to thousands of strangers online who you have never met or interacted with and who you wouldn't have ever interacted with normally. It's totally reasonable to be fine with going to a gym and not being recorded. What is this chick on?
Gym influencers with her mentality need to be told that it's no one else's fault that they can only film in public because they can't afford their own equipment.
I've literally seen a stitch of Joey Swole reacting positively to a woman of color, because she was filming in the gym, if people got in the shot she didn't get upset. She let them know she was filming, giving then the ability to consent, and even invited them to stay working out next to her if they didn't mind being in her shot. She was sweet. Also, I'm not on tic tok, what I see from it comes from youtube creators.
1) She's wrong - she does not have a right to her own private space on a 24 hour fitness. If she's doing so well, gym equipment can be found cheap for HER to go home and film herself. 2) She's using Joey to get famous and he fell for it. Having said that, I agree with him. 3) Creators, big and small, are not responsible for the lunatics on social media. I'm sure she has her own lunatics accusing Joey of racism and misogyny.
Sometimes I wish cameras weren’t so easily accessible to people. But then I see idiots film themselves committing crimes and posting it for everyone to see and suddenly it’s not so bad.
That woman obviously hasn’t seen the Planet Fitness motto of JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE… You would think the gym would do something to protect their mission to provide a comfortable environment.
Exactly. If you’re happy posting videos of people, you can’t get mad when other people post videos about you. She wouldn’t care if people started harassing the people in her videos.
It’s so common. And it drives me nuts because the internet is crazy, you could be posting just videos of puppies playing and still get death threats. That shouldn’t shift the conversation.
People need to read the gym membership contracts they have. Planet Fitness does not allow pictures/ videos on the gym floor. Use of phones is supposed to only be in the waiting area. I had a member take pictures of someone else, without consent and I made her delete the pictures in front of me. You wanna record your workouts? Do it in your own space on your time. When I worked there the safety of the members was my top priority. I've had a stalker, I know what it's like to be careful and very private.
@meghanaraujo apologies, I'll do better. I thought it was pretty logic. Why would member A have pictures of member B on their phone? If member A had requested them, wouldn't they be on member A's phone? At which point I wouldn't tell them to delete the pictures
@@Dells16 I mean they can know each other and be friends? Someone can prefer the others camera quality? You said “I had a member take pictures of someone else” we don’t know if they know each other lmao, we don’t know if they asked. which is why when you randomly say something like that without properly explaining people are gonna question you….
I like how she's like Y'all need to stop caring about my recording with my phone because y'all need to just feel better about yourself or not go to the gym and in the same breath she's like y'all need to start caring about where my phone is because I'm recording and y'all need to be aware so you don't walk in front of it.
The entitlement of thinking all the “negative/hateful” comments came from Joey Swoll community when it’s just comment sense/decency among gym goers to not record.
It grosses me out so much when they film in the changing/ bathrooms. Yes people can film in public, but these gyms need to put up signs saying no recording.
I love how influencers always want to pretend people are 'Karens' for telling them not to record strangers to plaster all over their tiktok. Like, no beloved, you're the Karen for acting like everyone around you needs to accommodate your vanity career. You're the one treating people like extras on your live stream. You aren't paying me, so get the f'n camera off me. I swear, tiktok has really made these mfs think it's normal to have a camera pointed at your face 24/7, and that everyone else are the weird ones for understanding basic respect. Dgmw, I'm pissed that the US is banning tiktok because of the shit that leaves the door wide open for. But some of these people would be better off without it, tbh.
Poverty , wars , so much misery in the world right now and everybody is worrying about some people making a scene in the gym . Humanity is allmost on the bottom of the barrel
One of the reasons I don't work out in gyms anymore. They got their way, I lift at home. Soon it'll be a sea of tripods if they continue without limiting camera use.
A lot of gyms are now influencer playgrounds. It’s already disheartening enough when you first start out at a gym, can’t imagine being recorded by someone with a couple thousands followers on top of that.
I would say find a small gym or pay more for an expensive gym. I know some of more upscale gyms are very strict with cameras due to the clientele that goes there. Smaller gyms, you have a better chance of your concerns reaching the owner and putting a stop to someone being a tool
Trinity's comment about staying home if you don't want to be filmed at the gym, gives the exact same energy as people saying that instead of them having to wear a mask during the pandemic, immunocompromised people should just not leave the house. Like babe, you're being very selfish right now. Why don't you at least sympathize with someone else before you project your views to so many people.
"You're so insecure you just don't want to be caught in the background of somebody's video." That was the farthest reason from my mind, the first good reason I can think of why is simply just privacy but I also know someone who prefers to not be filmed in public because they escaped an abusive relationship, started a new life and they basically can't be filmed anywhere because their ex-partner is insane enough to somehow find them in the background of a TikTok and use it to track them down & stalk them. Basically not every person who doesn't want to be filmed in public is just insecure that is one of the most short-sighted out of touch things I've ever heard.
Wait Planet Fitness is supposed to be a judgement-free gym yet she is judging the hell out of everyone around with that camera! No wonder she has them blocked, they would be telling her no and probably kick her out.
I wouldn't want to be filmed in a gym either, and it has nothing to do with being insecure. I am a DV survivor with an active restraining order and a court order for my address to be hidden for safety reasons. I do not want someone's gym video that gets posted online to be the potential reason that my ex is able to locate me.
I don't even have TicTok, but i know Joey posts positive examples and when he does post negative videos, he's not the one being negative, he always ends it with "do better " I personally like he's calling out entitled influencers filming everyone.
imagine you move to get away from someone abusive, or a stalker. go to the gym and get caught on camera which is then aired out to the general public, risking the ppl who you dont want to see finding you again.

I’ve lost over 100 lbs and I am still overweight, but nowhere near who I used to be. Instead of breaking me, it enraged me. This was in Planet Fitness too. “Judgement free zone”?
Also instead of people working out at home why doesn't she workout at home? Build herself a home gym and she can film anything she wants.
How dare you give a logical solution
Because she wants an audience.
Yea but she won't get attention that way.
my apartment has a gym, it's usually empty and nobody films anything. Building a home gym can be expensive af lol

It’s so dystopian that simply because there isn’t a reasonable expectation of privacy, people feel entitled to film anyone anywhere anytime. They treat it like an influencer con.. and yet many influences are getting into the gym rat trend without actually working out most of the time
Gyms aren’t a “public place.” They are a private business. There should not be cameras.
Gyms should blanket ban recording in their gyms
They usually do. Every gym I have worked at the policy is that there is no photo or video allowed without written manager approval. No one respects it and we don't get paid enough to patrol the floor and tell everyone to stop filming. Plus, you saw that confrontation when someone walked in that first guy's shot. Imagine asking him to stop filming......
@lovemandagrace you must go to some weird gyms. I've never been to one that doesn't allow filming because stopping people from doing form checks is bullshit
Absolutely. Businesses should have policies that benefit the vast majority of customers.

It’s hard to work up the courage to work out publicly to begin with, people like her are the reason so many give up before they even start. It’s humiliating working out when you can only do about a 1/4 of what you could do just a couple years back. No way in hell would I want to appear on someone’s gym video!

“Well, if they don’t want to be recorded they shouldn’t go out in public.” But people must go to places such as the DMV, post office, grocery store, restaurant…
I’ve had stalkers. It’s terrifying. People need to respect others privacy and stop recording people they don’t know.

I don't want to be in random people's videos, period. No matter where I am and what I'm doing.

@ashkebora7262 you need money to have the space... in the end, it's very much all money related.

If I were in a gym and they have a camera in the walk way I would totally stand between them and the camera and be like “what it’s a walk way”
The problem with today’s society is that a lot of people lack empathy.

She is sooooo so close to NOT being insufferable.
She could've built bridges if she humbled herself.
Yea nah, there's no way that first man would've touched me AND walked out of there on BOTH functioning legs and fully uncaved chest. No way.
Its pretty obvious why... This controversy got her the most views she ever got, then when it slowed down she needed the attention back
That woman obviously hasn’t seen the Planet Fitness motto of JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE… You would think the gym would do something to protect their mission to provide a comfortable environment.

I assume the death threats are usually whiny bs
If she's getting that annoyed that people are walking into a camera she's probably working at home 6:07 if she feels that entitled

Narcissists don't take accountability for their mistakes that's why she isn't and won't take accountability they also don't have empathy for others
So many unhinged people. A lot of these people should be banned from not only the gym but society completely.
I like how she's like Y'all need to stop caring about my recording with my phone because y'all need to just feel better about yourself or not go to the gym and in the same breath she's like y'all need to start caring about where my phone is because I'm recording and y'all need to be aware so you don't walk in front of it.
literally lol am i supposed to ignore u or not? incredible logic
The entitlement of thinking all the “negative/hateful” comments came from Joey Swoll community when it’s just comment sense/decency among gym goers to not record.
it’s just insane that they get mad at ppl who are in the gym as if the whole gym revolves around them recording… go home and record urself
Shocker going online saying anything gets you negative comments! Has she not paid attention for the last 20 plus years?
People like this woman are part of the reason people have gym anxiety. 😅
gym anxiety is currently one of the biggest topics and questions I get as a coach, and a lot of it is in fact related around these types. So yeeeeep
"i dont want ro be on camera" mostly like has a ring camera on their feont door recording random people 😂😂😂😂
"You're so insecure you just don't want to be caught in the background of somebody's video."
That was the farthest reason from my mind, the first good reason I can think of why is simply just privacy but I also know someone who prefers to not be filmed in public because they escaped an abusive relationship, started a new life and they basically can't be filmed anywhere because their ex-partner is insane enough to somehow find them in the background of a TikTok and use it to track them down & stalk them.
They kick people out for filming others too. Strange she hasn’t got kicked out
I wouldn't want to be filmed in a gym either, and it has nothing to do with being insecure. I am a DV survivor with an active restraining order and a court order for my address to be hidden for safety reasons. I do not want someone's gym video that gets posted online to be the potential reason that my ex is able to locate me.
The point is showing the names is he wants people to stop doing that crazy stuff
I don't even have TicTok, but i know Joey posts positive examples and when he does post negative videos, he's not the one being negative, he always ends it with "do better "
I personally like he's calling out entitled influencers filming everyone.
imagine you move to get away from someone abusive, or a stalker. go to the gym and get caught on camera which is then aired out to the general public, risking the ppl who you dont want to see finding you again.
I was just thinking about this, because these influencers really share exactly where they are too
Yeah it’s why I have first amendment auditors as well. They purposely go out and film people under the banner of ‘freedom of the press.’ They will film victims of DV in police lobbies and when called out will say it’s on them to protect themselves. It’s pure arrogance and narcissism.

They wear tight clothing and record themselves walking on a treadmill. They're not personal trainers, they don't do anything intensive to motivate anyone and they're just not interesting.
I'm so scared for the day when it stops being considered socially unacceptable to film strangers.
People have paid their hard earned money to be in the gym so they have the right to walk every inch of the it and use every machine WITHOUT being harassed or filmed!
Ill be straight up honest, im a major introvert and its people like this is why i get major anxiety even thinking about going to the gym, i dont wanna go and be seen in the corner of a video, or walking by a camera on mistake. The pure anxiety of even doing that stops me from going incase i do. Prob sounds mad to people but i cba with the worrying about something even if it doesnt happen if i do i go
In this day and age we need more people like Joey Swoll to speak up and stop some people thinking the world revolves around them
I can’t wait until the so called influences are gone. I’m sick of people with their silly phones recording themselves everywhere they go!
There are ppl in witness protection / escaping abuse that wont want to be filmed. Nothing to do with insecurity it's more a safety issue
And simply people that value their privacy.

We truly are going through every genre of tiktok drama eh? 😂
i'm conviced he types "drama" into the search bar to see what pops up 😆

I guess we are but I love that Callum saves me the headache of finding it out on my own LOL! Plus, he's as cute as can be and I'm a bit of a sucker for his accent. 😊
@@katemarr1984 100% agree on all of that!
@@katemarr1984😂😂😂😂😂exactly why I watch too. Mostly just staring at him and reminiscing on the glory days of the band one direction. He’s not even my type either nor am I single 😂
There are literal cases where it’s for safety reasons that a person shouldn’t be filmed.
I've really been enjoying the recent videos, markie!!❤
So it’s okay for her to bring negativity but when people respond to her negativity she plays victim. Typical.
I have never had a single ounce of desire to watch someone work out in a gym. Ever.
If I ever run into a gym bullies camera, I will squat in front of it and fart.
You know someone's a level headed totally reasonable person when they refer to any sort of criticism of their shitty behavior as "negativity".
I saw people take videos of other people at the Taylor swift concert doing normal things like FaceTiming or vibing with their family and everyone online is like “omg how cute ❤” etc, but honestly. How disgusting. Why are people okay with recording people they don’t even know and post it online for everyone to see while the people being recorded basically have no knowledge it’s happening. What a world we live in now.
