That smoke detector beep. A whole lot comes with that I already know lol
Summer? shoveled snow Monday in Wisconsin!
And that's why we love GA. The GA way of shoveling snow is to stay inside, toss another log on the fire and wait 24-48 hours and there's no snow by then except on the very rare occasion. Don't throw your back out!
Gotts love when people tighten electrical connections way tok tight
You must give off positive vibes, being able to make friends with a tied up dog. Maybe he saw how you snapped that screwdriver. I would have thought the screw head would have broken off before that screwdriver snapped. Nice brickwork around that last patio.
More great content. I passed EPA licensing exam this evening and went universal first attempt!
That’s great
Keep at it and keep watching his videos as well others like HVAC School and AC Service Tech. You're always learning and this channel has been a great resource for me.
@HVAC GUY hey hvac guy i love your videos man your awesome and i wish i can be like you, on the 1st one are these 2 units running off of the same main breaker ?
You’re a brave man around that dog
YOU are busy, that is a good thing!
Summer has arrived and as of today i am a licensed c21 contractor in Nevada.
HooRah! That’s great!!
I swear bro you have like the best angle shots when video taping. it's hard enough taping this stuff while you're doing the job. But somehow some way you seem to always get the best angles. Make it look SO EASY.Excellent work
Lol yeah I thought summer was here in south Mississippi but this next week back In the 20’s at night
Don't forget to add that screwdriver to their bill ... Lol ... Good vid , thx for posting ...
I’m still fuming about that
Klein insulated screwdrivers are notorious for tips breaking
meanwhile in mid Canada its -33 degrees. :(
Good stuff, can’t wait for some AC calls here in PA! Tired of smelling like oil haha
I don't get the bottom connection on the shunted side of the contactor, either.
I always put it where it's easiest to access.
3 in 1! Great content.
@4:31 wow. Add it to the bill.
@4:54 interesting. Never heard of shunt term used
@6:32 Thanks for keeping it real. It happens. We cant dwell on it
@14:40 great angle while checking the ohms. Thanks!
Nice job Curtis, yea that one with the dog definitely wasn’t a high rent neighborhood but if they want to pay the bill it’s all good. There is something fishy about that last call, I think it was left off and never commissioned to service.
Good thing about Klein is our guarantee you just take it back to home Depot and they'll give you another one.
That was surprising about the shunt contactor that's for the purpose of a crankcase heater getting energized when the contact is not pulled in I think anybody knew about that that job with the dog you were lucky you get to cuddle little doggy for a little bit all at once and some loving
It sucks for people this year they got to buy 410a units when next year the r454b units will be out.
blame the environmentalists for the never ending BS.
Good stuff, Curtis.
Glad you are staying busy nice videos and keep up the great work 👍
I've actually stacked two hard starts on a capacitor and gotten a frozen compressor started on several occasions. Might give it a try the next time you get one of those.
Locked rotor amperes on compressor, Good job Curtis.
I see a lot of brick homes in your videos that appear to be very similar. Are those all former military homes? Some look nice, some not so nice. Thanks for sharing!
Relatively few older military housing houses. The ones that were actually on base were nicer
thx for sharing, i got to say you are videoing a lot better by setting the camera down. I'm not complaining just giving you unsolicited advise. when the camera is steady and i know you cant do it all the time, but when its steady as a viewer easier to see and comprehend what you are doing with out distraction. as a mechanic my self i look at the job as if i were there figuring it out too. and what i would do first to fix or diagnose the problem thx again not too many people out there showing their craft. looks like you are catching up to Steve but don't tell him that lol
Cage on the condenser is not a good sign. Wouldn’t stay past dark on that one. 🤦♂️
March is still heating season in Virginia
Great videos 👌🏻
Hard start…
You know its a bad neighborhood when all the ac units have a cage on them.
I've added a bigger Cap on a compressor before to get it unstuck. Should you? Probably not. But it does work tho lol
Hey Curtis, if this hvac thing doesn't work out you might want to look in to being a dog catcher!
😂
chat: On the last call, what was wrong with the disconnect? Somehow I'm missing the problem with it.
What is the hollow hole on the Compressor, when you were ohming the terminals
I’ve got to guess that was for a crankcase heater.
@@HVACGUY you're awesome man , responding that fast , thanks
👍
That unit needs to meet some fire.
If someone wants a lawn ornament get a gnome not a dog, ignorant people. On another note, great content. Just started working in Georgia recently, seeing the gas pack videos are awesome to watch as they weren’t relevant before
It really pisses me off to see a dog tied up like that. At least there was food and water.
What is the best brand of caps?
What a mess with these unit
You have to love having to cage in your condenser..
What exactly was the complaint with the last one?
Not running outside.
Hey HVAC guy I’ve been in the trade for a year and have been with the same company, we rarely get diag calls, mainly maintenance and push sales and i really hate pushing sales. What should I do? 23 years old and went to a year of trade school.
Try to enroll in your local trade school. Ask to ride with lead tech sometimes. Be persistent about letting them know you want to learn and advance. Give it some time.
Where in SC are you going?
Lexington
@@HVACGUY that's about an hour from where I'm at lol. Hope it's more pleasure than business. I know you could use a little down time before ac season ramps up
I hope you have some milk bones in one of those Milwaukee cases. They had to cage their condenser??? Man, the way some people have to live. That poor dog. I bet hes always on that junk- yard leash.
Watch out for the dog bombs. That has ruined a call or two.
Thanks for the video!
🥃🥃🍺🍺🍺⛳🎳
Stay safe.
Retired (werk'n)keyboard super tech. Wear your safety glasses!
thank you for looking for water for the dog he has not much of a life
People shouldn't be allowed to have a dog if they're gonna chain them up outside. Hate seeing that.
Bothers me too.
100 percent agree.
