      Annalise, welcome to the HVAC profession. I retired this year after 43 year's kicking butt in residential, commercial and industrial service, installation and repair. To answer your question truthfully, it's different for everyone as far as confidence and how you approach each job. For me I started feeling confident with my abilities at about 7 to 8 year's into learning, doing and making a LOT of mistakes, which btw, will continue to happen for you. The best teacher is OJT (on the job training). A positive work ethic and attitude will go a long way. Try to learn from your mistakes and success on every job no matter how simple or difficult. The best thing that had consistently benefited me was not to beat myself up when I screwed up. Give yourself a break and pat yourself on the back when you've done a professional and kickass job. YOU WILL screw up...keep your head up and move forward. It's a HARD and rewarding career so have FUN with it. Good luck!

      Gas packs are 80% afue on thefurnace side. Only one manufacturer makes a 90+afue that I know of...nordine junk. On a split system you can install a 98%afue furnace. The ACs are the same. Breeze Mechanical Inc

    Is there a reason you did not have the owner run that blower wheel through the dishwasher? Or at least submerge it in the laundry sink in sudsy water? It looked really skunky, and would be sans filter. I bet everything on the intake side of the filter is covered in dirt. Amazing how that gas line is right out there where the lawnmower can hit it. Not safe.

    I don't understand when they design a house why they make it so difficult to access critical parts that are necessary if repairs are ever needed in the future. Something should be done and this should be outlawed because I see and hear the sigh when you had to go up there and saw the access point.

    Why do most if not all the videos you presented have major components of the system installed inside an attic space? Is it because in those instances the location does not have a basement? I'm not an HVAC professional like yourself but I don't see any logic in installing something so heavy and critical in a space that isn't truly designed to hold it nor be easily accessible in most cases.

  • @mwatkins2464
    @mwatkins2464 Před rokem

    There is absolutely no reason you should have left that dirty blower wheel in this unit. You could have at least stopped at a car wash and cleaned it before you took the old motor off. I’ve never seen a house that didn’t have a water spikit outside. You need to bring a water hose with you. You seem to leave dirty ones on all the time. That’s not good at all
