Followed the directions to the letter and everything worked out perfectly. It saved me probably $400. Shops charge quite a bit anymore. Thank you so much. Now I have the added knowledge to share with someone else or to fix their vehicle if necessary. 63 years old and always learning.

Oh my gosh! Just finished replacing the actuator on our 2010 F250. This video is awesome! Perfect step-by-step instructions. Dealership wanted $400 to replace it! 2 hours of my time, it's done, it works and I learned something new. Thank you!

Thanks for the detailed installation. I would have never figured that out without destroying at least one part in the door without this video. 2000 Excursion door locks working like a champ now. Thanks again.

A thousand thanks! My local locksmith wanted $100 per door to change the actuators. The first one took me a little time, but the second one was much easier.

if you have an early 99 super duty (like I do), you won't have that nice big vertical rectangle cut-out on the inside of the door, but rather one or two small diameter holes you can barely see through. Consequently, it took two sets of hands to get mine back together properly. Still very doable, and worked great once done...thanks for this video!

The video was essential. When I read that people changed actuators in 15 minutes I feel totally inadequate, because it certainly took me longer. But without the video I wouldn't have been able to do it. There was a part that connects the door handle to the actuator that is tricky to remove, at least I found it so. In the video, the presenter's hand was making it impossible to see how this steel rod came out of a plastic fitting that one has to squeeze to be able to pry the thing off. But finally I got it. Thanks a lot!!

Helpful thanks. I have a 1999 with 60k original miles but because I live in the country the doors have only every been locked and unlocked probably 50 times in 17 years. All four actuators have failed due to lack of use. ........ At least the Powerstroke is a good engine...LOL

Great video. I have to do all 4 doors on my Excursion 2002 diesel. Good price as well. $100 for all 4. I guess if the OEM's lasted 10 years you are lucky. Good planning on all the tools required. Makes the job faster.

Very helpful. My 1999 F250 had slightly different access holes but everything else was the same. The 2nd door, of course, took only half as long.

You may want to check the actuator and make sure that it's not hitting anything inside of the door.

@tj0002 We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to repair the door locks. If you have a Chiltons or a service manual, they may show you how to fix this issue.

I used your video to replace all four lock actuators on my Ford F350 crew cab. Even though this video does not cover back doors, I learned enough to figure it out the first time. Outstanding video!
