I really have to say thank you I followed your video and was able to do the task in less then 1 hr. No questions asked... only thing I did differently I use a zip tight to secure the regulator away from the window track. Please keep your videos coming I will keep watching them.

Don't take the bolts out, just back them out half way. The bolts are used as a guide when reinstalling.
You should be able to apply some of the basic steps shown in this video to your application. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
You will have to open up the door panel and check. It could also be related to a bad wire as well that is grounding out possibly. Test the connection and seeing if there is any damaged parts to the window regulator will help you at this point.
You may want to remove the door panel so that you can check the window regulator. It may have broke inside of the door. Here's a link to the window regulators that we carry on our website 1aauto.com if you're in a bind and need a new one.

You could try to put a little white lithium grease on the window regulator tracks. You could also spray the weatherstrip around the window with some silicone spray to see if that helps to speed it up. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

yes you should be able to as long as the the regulator that you purchase is just like the OEM one.

Thanks so much for your reply. I hate to admit it, but when I stuck my head inside the hole with my glasses on, I saw that the forward screw was not attached to the window. So when the window went up, it just tilted. Next time I'll actually look instead of just feel.

You may want to check inside of the door while the window goes up to see what's pushing it off of the track.

Do you know where I can get the circle plug for my 99 f350?
Can you do a video on how to replace the wiring harness for an 01 ford f350 crew cab 7.3? I've eliminated everything else, so I'm pretty it's a broken wire or two, and I'd rather just replace the harness than try to splice wires and risk creating weak points that will give me more problems in the future.
What about 2002 crew cab driver side rear door ?

I have the same truck. The pass side window will go down but not up. New motor. Im getting power to the switch up and down to the motor
Just replaced my motor, pass side, f250, still no up , but got down. Criss crossed the wires to get it back up, will deal with it later, prob curcuit board in the main switch panel.
Do you have a video of this but manual windows ? Mine are shot an need to install as soon as I can
Hey mike... My 2000 excursion 5.4 triton has the window stuck down... Button works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't... It stays stuck in the down position... Any pointers? Please
I have an 01 F250. The driver's side power window goes up like a champ, but bogs down and stops when going down. I have to put my arm up on it to give it an assist, but it eventually goes down. I took it to a shop a few years ago, all they did was lube it, and that helped for about 2 days. Is there something else I should look for?
And FYI, it doesn't look like you're hitting the "reply" button on the comment you're replying to, so it's difficult to tell who the reply is to.
Mine's an early 1999 super cab. Replaced the regulator only to find the connector on the new motor doesn't match the old harness connector (old = vertical pins, new = horizontal). Plus the wires need to be switched (red to blue, black to red) before it worked correctly (up/down). Also, if you replace and find it only works in one direction, check the wiring harness between the door and the cab (high stress point) for a broken wire(s). Ask me how I know... ;)

Hey Mike - thanks for the video and parts to replace my plastic headlights (02 Odyssey), very helpful. Now…the windows in my 2001 f-350 work hard, nearly stalling the motor. Do the OEM motors get weak, or do I possibly have a gummed up window track? In your video on regulators, there weren't any points for lubricating the tracks, etc., so now I question the likelihood of it being “gummed up” (my initial assumption). I’d hate to get two new regulators, only to have the same problem.
help, I replaced the regulator and motor unit. It goes down OK, but it gets jammed while it's moving up. It tilts in the sliders and gets stuck. Probably what broke the gears in the first place. What do I do now?

I have an 01 250 and none of my windows are working. Radio works and windshield wipers wipers. Literally my windows are only thing that will go down. Any ideas

I am trying to replace my 1999 f250 driver side window regulator. My motor has the vertical connection and the only parts I can find have horizontal connection pins. Help!!
+Wesley Morgan All of the window regulators that we carry are horizontal as well. You may want to have the dealer run your VIN number to see if there was another option for that vehicle. Hope this helps out 1aauto.com
I know this is an old video, but.....help😂.
When I try to roll window up or down, I can hear the motor, but the window will not move. I have to move the window by hand. Would I need a new motor or track/regulator thing?
+397 Coney It could be either. If you can hear the motor running but it will not move, I would try the motor first. You could always just replace the complete assembly to ensure it fixes the issue. Thank you for watching.
