please please please turn on caption option on your videos. =( I'm deaf and trying to learn more about my ebook options but I can't hear anything you're saying. =(
I've had the kobo aura h20 for a few years and just bought the 2nd edition. You've done a great job on your review. Discovered a couple of things I didn't know like being able to load your own fonts, and scrolling on the left to adjust the light :) Thanks
I have had this unit for the past three years and I love it. The cover for the plug hole is kinda what sold me on it. Wish it was a little lighter though.
Thank you...I just bought my waterproof kobo and I was lost for a bit...thanks for showing the tricks. Also, I really think that the flashes are annoying, I initially thought something was wrong with my kobo, but I realised that yours did the same thing.
Thanks for your review. Can you help me compare this kobo and kindle ppw3? I want to read cropped pdf on e-reader. I've just sold my kindle 8th. It screen is too small and low resolution.
I’ve had this e-reader since release. Such a good e-reader, can add books with ease via SD. Had a few issues where I had to hard reset, but Kobo support wasn’t great. That’s the only downside I’ll say.
Ok, so im going to buy my first e reader, and have no idea which one to get. Originally I was going to get a kindle paper white, but I saw it in a store, and the grey patches at the bottom due to the light really put me off. Now I'm not sure between the new Kindle voyage, and the kobo aura h2o. Personally I really like the look of the kobo, I like the larger screen, and the user interface looks really nice, but having never owned an e reader before I'm just not sure which would be the best for me. I'm never going to open pdf files on it, I just want it for reading regular books from the kobo or Amazon stores. Which would you recommend?
+Andy Pitchless No folders, not in the ordinary sense. You can create "shelves" for custom collections on the device, and I think there's a way for Calibre to create them too.
Thanks for the reply, great channel, I asked because I have a Nook simple touch which lets me create shelves but if I include more than about 70 books per shelf it gets very cranky.
Good day! Thanks for the review, I just want to ask the durability of this device, since its 2016 now, are you still using it, no damage or whatsoever? thanks
I have one from 2014 or so and it is fine, I have a case on it and dropped it and nothing happened, though I dented the edge once by hard dropping accident but the screen is perfectly fine
You said you won't bother showing us how it handles the MOBI and PRC formats, and that we are better off just converting to EPUB... I would have really liked you to have shown us both so we can see the difference.
It's supposed to have the overdrive app available to borrow from public libraries. I wish you reviewed that as it's the main reason I am looking to purchase this ereader.
+Bt Paulie It can download ePubs from the desktop version of the site but I don't know about PDFs. Specs are on the review and product pages. www.the-ebook-reader.com/kobo-aura-h2O.html
sorry my dear but l really want to know if Kobo Aura H2O reads the normal pdf files which we download for free from google or anywhere alse? many thanks in Advance
Yeah, but Kobo's PDF software is pretty awful. Any other ereader is going to do a better job unless you install KOReader. I'll post a video soon showing it for PDFs.
Bit the Buller and bought the h20. Noticed it's missing the chess game that other h20 have. Got Afew friends with the exact same device that have chess on it.

in regards to the flashy screen, ALL ereaders do it.
Is there a night mode that reverses giving you a dark background and lit text?

are these newer e-ink devices backlit or is it a light reflecting off the ereader?
How can I add a security passcode at the start up?
One question, is it possible to remove header and footer on the regular aura HD, or it´s just option on H2O?
Hello,
Is it able to access Google drive to retrieve uni lessons for example ?
thanks in advance
My girlfriend wants me to tell you that you have _amazing_ taste in books. True fact :P also thanks for the review! ^^
will i be able to translate any word by clicking on it , even if i am not connected to the internet ? english is not my first language
Hi I need help my aura h20 won’t turn on I did everything I could I tried charging doing a force reset everything pls help me
Thanks for this reveiw, I was wondering if the kobo allows you to sort your library into folders for genres etc.

Do ianotate work in this device?

E Ink screens are really fragile in general. The Kobo is the same as any other in that regard.
I have one from 2014 or so and it is fine, I have a case on it and dropped it and nothing happened, though I dented the edge once by hard dropping accident but the screen is perfectly fine

You're mistaken. That's the Aura One that has OverDrive built-in not the H2O, and I do have a review if you check my website.
I've had a kobo hd and a kindle touch and they break when exposed to the cold.seems to wreck the screen.
+Jeremy omg =[ this is new to me
so im wondering. i know e ink screens are easy to break so hpw hard is it to replace the screen on this product?
Just run a search on CZcams; there are videos showing how.
The eBook Reader ok thanks :)
How much ram memory does this kobo have?
If I read a lot of pdf that i store on Dropbox can i download them into this device also how much storage does it have and how much does it weigh
+Bt Paulie It can download ePubs from the desktop version of the site but I don't know about PDFs. Specs are on the review and product pages. www.the-ebook-reader.com/kobo-aura-h2O.html
The eBook Reader thanx for the response i will follow up on the link you provided
Is the google play store available on this e-reader . And if so can I download simple games.
+Umar Arif No, it doesn't run Android.
Placing sd card in Aura H2O is a nightmare! Can you show on a film how to do it?
seven years later, i just purchased one and love it. i just stuck a 32gb micro card in mine, no problem.

+Jeremy OH NO! AN EREADER WITH NO CHESS GAME ON IT!
Time to buy a tablet or smartphone I guess!
SOUL Man who buys an incomplete product at full price? Idiots like you
What makes you think that's the only thing missing?
