Hey bro. They make electric power steering , or the steer by wire, I sent you a pm on insta
You had talked about moving those stabilizer bars at an angle instead of straight, that are attached to the firewall and core support, if you do that you will get more room for headers and steering colunm. not to mention safer in a head on collision. Right now, driver and passenger will get impailed in a head on collision lol
This car is perfect for you. Daily driver maybe?
have u considered stock exhaust manifolds. they're not ideal but they usually fit in the tightest areas...
My 4yo got to learn "safety squints" from this video. You are now Casey Safety Squints😂😂😂😂

Casey, You are one of the hardest working car builders on CZcams. Great work!
Hey the BLAZER pulling the CRX to the track would look 👌 😉 👀
You know if you get in a head on crash those frontend supports are gonna come straight back into your chest!
What about the engine?
Theres a lot of support in that cage , those bars tie into the front roll bar ,and and that cage is strong as
Casey is always doing good things! Richard the editor is the greatest! The other person was weak.👍👍👍
I just need to invest some time into new music…
@@BobolovProductions ya think….
Richard's a dick. All cops should be named Richard. Just cause. I liked the timelasp music from the new editor. But idk nothing about nothing editing so...yea a music upgrade that doesn't put me to sleep might get more like buttons. Just saying hard to push them while your asleep.
So happy for you bud it's really getting there. Can't wait until you're done.
You need a third channel for Casey's Soap Opera, "Watch the Wheels Turn".
In today's episode we watch as The Wheels Turn
Don’t bounce from project to project. We want to see the crx get done ❤️
Watch out the comment 5-0 are lurking 😂😂
Dude needs parts and the right vibes
50 videos later and it looks the same
Could you make like a little manifold out of the header kit. Short runs coming out of the flange connecting to one pipe and run it out that a way?
Casey, you might think about using tubular arms they’ll provide you more clearance or steering spark plugs and also headers😭👍🏽😊🤙🏽
Casey tubular uppers are very inexpensive for these chassis too. All star performance makes a set. You need two of the same side because it's circle track stuff but it's fine.
cant wait for the first burnout
So you can’t just order headers for a crx with a 350 in it ? Lmfao
APPARENTLY NOT ! 😂
That would b 2 easy and Casey likes a challenge ha ha
I thought O'Reilly kept them in stock.....
I think you should use simple cast-iron exhaust manifolds for the ease of future repairs.
Your car is turning out really cool !
My mailman uses his own vehicle to deliver the mail. I asked him one day how are you driving from the left seat?
The steering column was cut in half and the steering wheel was put on the passenger side.
It was connected with a bicycle chain.
Sooo....
You could something similar under the hood.
When you get it all figured out, this Honda crx will be BEAST 👍 miss the crx I once had lots of fun driving around..
That honda is a crazy sleeper, liking this build! It's amazing to see how you modify to fit stuff, so keep stuffing!
My vote is for some 8-to-1 forward headers and then out the passenger side
I ran exhaust manifolds backwards & exit out fenders. Like turbo cars do.
I LOVE 💕 LOVE 💕 LOVE 💕 THAT CASEY IS BUILDING MY DREAM HONDA!!! Thanks for building this cool ride. The work is appreciated 👍. Anyway, thanks for the video 📸.
Gah damn that CRX is going to be sick
The truck baby!!!! Someone is going to love it ......
Casey! Bro l want see this one get the full trailer queen treatment 😂😂😂🇺🇸✊🏼
Your Best build at this moment in my opinion....I owned a CRX back in 93' and loved her, however mine didnt have any horsepower. Wish I still had her. Cant wait to see you put the pedal down!!
👍👍👍👍
Change angles on front rollcage bars to give more header clearance
Great work Casey, one thing is for sure, you definitely do not shy away from difficulty! The Mustang is really cool, but I vote for the truck.
Once again , watching this video before getting the heat flowing through my shop to work on the 66 C10 build. Damn you😂
Been waitin for more of this rig!
2 1/2 is better, Cassey. "MO'POW'A!"
Maybe building headers like the Dodge 426 Hemi engine headers would work. Over the top of the engine, heads and down, piping it next to the fire wall.
Finnish the B.M.W./ MUSTANG FOR A GIVE AWAY! But this time, make the windshield wipers work.
Headers straight up through the hood !
You could always bend the pedal to move its position over to the left or right
Great video!
Back in early 2000's we built a 1995 sonoma, body dropped it, extended cab long bed, we ran the headers into the frame rails and it sounded awesome
Trimming and reforcing along with brake clean first aid
Exactly!
Nice work , things are coming together.
Make the CRX a giveaway !!
I love the CRX build. Keep it going
You know.on the exhaust headers, old school Hot Rod / Hot Wheels cars, straight up angled backwards out the hood
Love it love it LOVE IT...Thanks Casey, excellent build. You are the Man!!
🙌
Something you should invest in for building custom headers is what DDE did they bought some header Lego kit basically. They come with different cuts and you just pop them together and build it out of plastic first then take it off and make all your pie cuts just like the legos and it’s 10x easier!!
That CRX is looking sweet. I want that F100, you should do a give away on it.
I live vicariously through your videos, what fun to be able to fabricate whatever you need.
You should watch our video from Monday where we cut out and repaired a hole in Edna's hood. Could use some pointers
Love this build... Truck Giveaway
Truck! Give it away! ❤
Exhaust up through the bonnet and back over the roof, lol.
Hey buddy! For the spark plug clearance they do make a stubby spark plug. Just look up header plugs for sbc and it will show plugs with half the ceramic body length. I have to run them with my headers due to melting plug wires. My plug wires use to sit on the headers and now have like a inch of clearance
The CRX is a work of art!
Mustang baby❤❤❤❤❤
THE TRUCK!
The steering issue you described was "bump steer", but the issue is not because of tie rod length, so outer joints won't fix it.
it is caused by inner tie rod joint location. Due to space that can only be changed in one dimension, the steering rack width.
it needs lengthened (spacers, easy)...
or shortened (imo, just get a different rack), idk...
I didn't see it from the angles I need.
Tubular suspension bits, front & rear would be most appropriate.
@caseyscustoms you should do a bosozoku style exhaust. It'll make a lot of people mad at it.
I feel a stock 350 exhaust manifold would help with the clearance issues . Headers look cool but the manifold would work .
Dude keep killing it
So much work! 👍
One of my fav builds, love your work Casey
I think that's the most badass ride I ever seen. If it works😁👍💯👊
So hear me out , next shirt idea should have the crx on the back should have a welder and a grinder and across the back, should say LETS CUT SOME SHIT . I want one lol
Dude you're next project should be putting ford model T body on Polaris buggy and make the fastest ford model T that will be sick 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Why didn't you do tubular A-arms? It would save weight, save space, add strength and adjustment, and just make things much easier. Especially if you went full tube front.
Probably the same reason I haven't got them for my s10 yet. They are way to expensive
I don't agree with the methods you choose to build vehicles but I will say, you put in more work than 2 men.
You should do the body work and paint that make I show car
"GIANT MOTOR" ?....Dude, It's a small block! 😂😆😁
I like the fender exit exhaust idea but it’s won’t say “sleeper” 🤣 but if you’re not going the sleeper route I’d say twin turbo it at that point and have them out front the motor
Turbo might still be on the idea list lol
@@CaseysCustoms love that!! But add an s….. turboS 🤣
All that work but you didn’t build your own upper and lower control arms? That would create more room as well and look a little more polished.
Bro, this is awesome, I subscribed!! found your channel when I was looking for engine ideas for my eclipse lol
Thank you very much for the sub! Also Good luck on the eclipse lol
Love the CRX build Casey. Did you consider building the Headers coming forward and having Fender exit?
Love the Temu ad for Casey's welding machine
Where is that? lol
@@CaseysCustoms IT was one of the pop up ads
@@davidweidner1675 are you shitting me?! I never approved it if it is
Looking great.
Thanks for sharing with us.
I'd love to own any of the vehicles you build..
Mustang ! Casey needs a shop truck
I know steering by wire exists but I think only on electric cars but man if they could make some aftermarket kit drive by wire with its only little computer would make things so much easier trying to fight steering shafts around headers.
Had a v8 vega used truck manifold for steering clearance.
Did you use the Teamu welding glasses to watch the eclipse?
It would also be a funny gag to use a pair of those cheap eclipse glasses, when you are welding!
Id love to get my hands on that mustang ;)
Hell yea 💪 💪 💪
Ooooh in early. What's up man? I'm building the baddest bmw on the planet.. I wish. I'm too broke to do that 😅
Remember those paper cuts from 7 years ago?...... brake clean Remembers!😂
The truck !!!!!
i need the truck in my driveway lol
Should do an 8-1 out the front right bumper, radiator in the rear
Have you looked at some Flowtech headers and maybe mount them upside down then turn down in the front and go out or turn them out to the sides
Definitely the F100 brother
I wish you could run side exit hot pipes like the old vettes and cobras
can you please do a video of you bringing this to a Honda dealer and get the oil changed lol
Just a thought for the header issue. Could you just bring the headers forward and put some header collectors in and drop the exhaust down closer to the crank and make the exhuast from drivers side come up over the passenger control arm and vise versa for the other side thus you have 1 pipe per side to clear rather than 4 collecting over the control arms per side. Also i do beleive there is kits out there for tubular upper control arms for the s10s should free up alot of room for exhaust clearance also i do not remember for sure if you used drop spindles for the front but if not could install a set of the drop spindles givng the upper control arms a chance to sit more flat. Like i said i cant remember for sure what all was done to the crx in the past. Been awhile since i watched the videos.
What about steering shaft to a 1:1 sprocket and chain for header clearance?
You should do side pipes for your exhaust
Just about anyone can throw an engine and transmission into a car, the real talent is making the brakes and steering work with the exhaust. With the size of your car and how big your engine is, well, you have quite the challenge on your hands! I am sure you will get it to work!
Looking at the poll numbers I am thinking that a lot of people are leery of that BMW donor car.
I was just thinking that same thing. The biggest issue is that frame. Personally, I would of built an entire tubular frame with a strut front suspension. I've built small cars with small blocks. There is no way in hell I would of used an S10 chassis. There is not enough room for exhaust. Did he leave any provision for pipes and mufflers underneath ? This is where it shows how much experience he really has.
If you move that roll bar/headacheinacrash... you would have more exhaust room
Tubular upper control arm? Might help with extra space for the headers.
Casey, for the headers can you go straight up thru the hood instead of down under floor?
If you put some wings on it I bet it would catch some air! 😅
To bad u cant find a set of aftermarket Chevy 350 conversion headers and front mount motor mounts for a vega work perfect
Should I use the exhaust manifolds
Just a thought, can you run the pipe for your headers to the front of the motor and run a turbo? Also, it would be kick ass right hand drive.
this is what i ben waiting for
What would happen if you moved the support from firewall to the front rad support...just slide where it attacked to.the firewall closer to inner fender....just to buy more space for the headers.....than when ita.all put together you can make a removable x brce that goes over the top of the motor like the old mustangs had.....just a suggestion
