Like the video! Also is the engine too far back?!? Let me know please!
move it back up (engine) and keep it a sleeper.
It may need to come forward a bit, but with that front end, will it allow the motor to sit low enough?
Keep it right where it is and sit further back and extend your steering column, freaking pro street baby, let's go!!!!
Move it forward give yourself more room in the cabin mate it will lose its fun value really fast if you can't really fit comfortably in the go seat. Huge fan by the way your awesome dude never change
leave it back it will drive alot better. if ya want a tire roastin soon to be wreck move it to stock location✌
Definitely move the engine forward, the tiny cabin needs all the space u can get
I actually love those rims on the chassis 😅 i’d keep them and just drop down to a 45 profile tyre to suit the little crx body 👍
They are very period correct. I've seen tons of Crx and pre 92 hatch backs with similar rims, just 4 spoke not 5.
I concur. I like the wheels. Possibly widen the rears and slim the fronts
Id love to see a 275/50-15 rear BFG drag radial
Takes most folks a lifetime to complete super cool, custom 1 off builds like you do, in a few episodes. Kudos bud, haha. Always a pleasure tuning in. Salute 🤚
Casey: We got ourselves another frame-off-unibody project! I dig your style man 😅
🤷🏻♂️🤣
@@CaseysCustomsI'd bring the friend motor up to the front
Do you sell these creations after you build them cuz they are rad bro
"Frame off unibody" sounds like my Mustang. The previous owner stuck a full frame and the floorpan out of a Mercury Cougar under it. It's a piece of junk, but I love it.
@qwerty2008100 I've owned several POS cars/trucks, it's a lifestyle and I have no regrets 😂
I love it how it is... If the engine came forward you would be getting into giant hood scoop and changing the profile of the car. The right wheels and tyres will make all the difference. You will be sitting way back and getting around the steering wheel as you climb in and out... but hell, it looks like a drag car... go with it!
They will work if you want to go that route and will give you more cabin space which would be good
This is an awesome build. Also, yes move the engine forward a little.
This thing is so freaking cool!!! I say keep the engine back as far as possible, put some slicks on the back and pull some wheelies as light weight and centered as it is now would definitely drive like a gocart.... Keep the videos coming man love it!!!
I'm thinking push it forward. Love the stance on those chunky wheels/tires.
This is going to be so cool! I say leave the engine where it is but with no cabin space, legs cooking while driving it might be better to move forward
I love how you have 3 completely chopped up projects just sitting in the back at once, this is how you CZcams full time. Love the channel Casey, keep it up.
Looks good where it is can set seats back toward back half looking forward to where it goes from here👌🏽
You are a mad man dude! This is turning into an epic project!
Dude, you're killing it. This is where you broke the mold & take your channel to a level you had never thought possible. Mark my words.
It would be awesome if you could use the Honda steering wheel. Love this build, I hope you make this one a weekly build.
I dont think adapting the Honda steering wheel will be much of a challenge for him considering how rapidly this thing is progressing:)
Engine more forward for sure! Love your excitement brother! Id be stoked too!
As far as im concern this guy is a honorary Honda guy. He took cutting/ weight reduction to the next level lmao. Keep up the vids, this is my new favorite youtube channel!
Yea, that’s the way Honda woulda done it if they had thought about it. 😮
Im so glad YT gave me your channel as a recommendation, this thing is cool AF!
Tears of joy. This thing is gonna be badass
I would vote move it forward. The project is very cool and you obviously have an attachment to it so I would imagine it's one you want to be able to drive around in. On the video it looks like you would have to squeeze in to sit in it. A car that is comfy and a nice place to be is one you drive and enjoy. Mid engine though rad to look at seems like something you would show off but not want to drive much. Either way keep it coming. The more out of the box stuff you do the more I love it. Great job man.
That's what I wrote what is the advantages of having it forward or sitting back in the cabin. (Pros vs cons?)
Plus I was wondering when the window was going to crack with the body twisting around. Casey should have pulled the windshield and welded some rods where the glass sits to keep its shape. Not shire how easy it is to find glass for those car's being you really don't see them around as much as they used to be around.
That's what I tell people that want to buy an od ball classic. Do they still make parts for it how easy is it to find glass, are you going to have to find a whole parts car? Thing's to think about when buying a classic. We all know Cadillac doesn't make after market parts. When restoring a Cadillac you have to either comb swap meets or buy a parts car. These days Cadillac parts are harder to find on certain year's.
Get some 4.3 V6 engine frame brackets from an 88-98 Chevy c1500 OBS. They recess the V6 closer ti the firewall. U can possibly flip it to push the V8 engine closer to the core support of the custom s10 frame so it sits more centered in the engine bay.
That looks so fucking cool on those bigger tires and wheels. The stance is just perfect. Realistically you should move the engine forward and put a 3 inch cowl on the stock hood . It will make the entire build that much easier.
Truly a mad scientist at work.. love it!!
This man has never claimed sanity and im all here for it.
Sanity? Never heard of her 😜
I respect your builds, those are nice and crazy in a world full of cars made with similar recipes.
I respect you the most for being kind and noble with a random dog. Poeple character can be told for the way they show kindness towards animals.
Digging the V8 CRX build a bunch!
if you put a pivot at the front and rear bumpers you can split it so you can raise the front clip up and forward then the firewall to rear up and back making it super easy to still get to everything easily to work on it
Love the build man...... Freaking awesome
New to the channel. Loving this build! Also looking forward to going through your library.
Watch the one where he puts the old Mustang on the newer Mustang painted orangeish. That one hooked me to the channel.
Absolutely love in the CRX. In the early 90's a friend and I built a late 80's CRX HF. Used the stock engine with twin Italian Solexs. 230+ HP. We had to build a roll cage in it to keep the body straight when accelerating. 500 HP, can't wait.
Casey it’s coming along really well. Very unique and very original build. Can’t wait to see more updates an projects and many more videos soon my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep making. God bless.
Forward for sure! Loving the frequent uploads. Really enjoying keeping up with the builds.
Casey! Since you're a metal fabricator, have you ever thought about designing and building your own car? I'd love to see what that would look like. Muscle car? Super car? Do that. It would be awesome. Build your own frame. Use a LS motor. Something to compete with a Lamborghini! Good times.
Can't wait to see more..great job
Looking good. Inspiring me to get going on my Honda v8 conversion. You are awsome
I am so excited for you ...
Looking forward to the next
That thing is awesome. It’s amazing the amount of awesome stuff you pull off.
At first I was thinking mount the engine in the stock location. But I think you've convinced me it needs to be mid engine. Lol. Maybe you can delete rear seats and mount front seats farther back. Even if it's just a few inches.
So excited to see more up coming videos. 👍👍👍👍👍
This CRX is looking like a little Monster! It's going to be very cool! Great work Casey!
more please, this so cool. engine needs to come forward. watching from south africa
As far as you've done with it you might as well make it with a tilt front end that would also be cool
Dude love this build and your style!
always a w video from Casey’s customs
Either way love the build!!! had a CRX for years and old Chevrolet‘s and it’s like you’re combining two of my favorite things. Can’t wait to see the rest of the series.
My first car was a red 1984 CRX. Loved this new design even better. I'm super hyped to see this custom build completed!
Man I have always wanted to do this, it's so kick ass!!! I really enjoy watching so I kinda know what I'm getting into!!!! Thanks for the video's!!!
love your work casey!! im building a 54 morris minor full chassis ls1 5.7 powered 2 door and this just motivates and encourages me so much. keep it up!!
I'm nuts over this build!
Move forward for sure. Love your builds man. Great inspiration to start on my ‘49 shoebox
I want a shoebox project so bad
My dad has a chopped 50. I want to put it on some cool chassis.
@sixpackroadrunner I'm keeping Edna mostly stock but I want to get Chance a shoebox and build it for his first car. Have you seen the one that was on Jay lenos garage
Heck yeah, Shoebox life 💪
I'm building a 51
Just came across your channel! New sub! Excited to see this build
Man I've just found your channel wow mate and I'm loving it that honda crx is going to make you famous keep up the good work!!!! MB🇬🇧
Looking awesome been waiting for this build loving the out come
Man that’s a lot of work. You got this man! 🙌🏽👏🏽
Doing well Casey keep it coming. 💯 👌 👍
I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t be interested in this build. That’s as hot rod as it gets! It’s inspiring me to make my next build something thats more unique to myself
Subbed.. I'm Feeling the vibe of the channel my guy.. good work
I would put the 2.8 motor mounts on the frame, then use normal clamshell sbc mounts. It will sit the engine farther back than s10 conversion mounts, but farther forward than the current location. This is what I do with my v8 s10 builds to help with traction and weight distribution.
I'm so excited to see where this goes!!!
I love how you do things id love to have one of your awesome cars
Absolute mad man!! 😂. this is gonna be a beast can't wait
Definitely pull the engine to the stock mounts... If it's high, you can 3 or 4 inch cowl the hood for clearance... Great build! Love crx! Had a 89 hf back in the day... Much love!
Love the stance, looks so cool.
I love this build!
fun project! And yeah, definitely needs to move forward.
I actually had this same idea years ago because these are so short it make an awesome drag car! Way to go need to build my own some day!
I like the engine sticking out the hood. Plus the eye candy factor isn’t there because half of the engine is hidden. If the motor ever throws a rod your legs better be ready.
Crx is just a gorgeous car period.
Yes the Crx is looking 🔥🔥🔥🔥keep going we all want to see this Monster Rex running
Hardest working man in show business. I can't stop watching this. 😂
Reminds me of the pinto hatchback I had after highschool that I dropped a 460 4v in with irrigation pipe zummiz(fender exit), tubbed rear, 36" bald tsl boggers, mexichrome paint. It never got pulled over just laughed at.
im a big time honda guy, always have been always will be and i dunno why but seeing the entire floor and firewall etc being cut out of this makes me laugh so much, ive been smiling the whole video!
Move to stock mount location, and add a blower!!! It will look like something Rat Fink would be proud to drive! lol
Looks badass. I’d Definetly try to use the forward motor mount locations if at all possible. Love the channel Casey 🤙🏼
I absolutely love this build and absolutely love the wheels that are on it now. Go with the black bolt on flares and a lower profile tire. MINT! Move the engine forward. Like it "should" be
Love this build, i had a thought stretch the frame and run it without the front clip lol jdm hot rod
I always wanted to do this to a 91 escort gt with a 302. This project is sweet! Keep rockin it out!
Hell yea CASEY BADASS 💪
Another awesome build. Yep, filling this through. Move engine forward if it can work, mid engine sounds great but need that room.
Loved my 89 CRX si. It had the first ever turbo ZC motor.
This things sick! You just got a subscriber 👍👍
This is gonna be so dope!
Can not wait to see how this turns out
Go forward with motor!! Love the build
Love the build big homie
I Love this build! Move the motor forward. That way it's perfect for when I win it on the raffle... hahaha
Love this build!!! Always wanted a CRX... I say move the engine forward.
Lovvve ❤❤ the neighbor's pooch! 🐶 Such a sweet lil girl!! 😁
Super cool project! For Serviceability the engine should come forward and fab A arms and cross members chop and plate in cross member , watch your oil pan , maybe get a shallow one… excited … it’s all hot Rod stuff- regardless of make … keep ‘em coming!
Love this build
Love the content bro! Keep up the good work. I say move the motor forward. Give you some more room in there and you know how cool it will look when you pop that hood!
Someone here in long Island ny has the same car with a blown 454 in the back and he kept the fwd and front engine for street cruising. He just puts front engine in neutral and he can start the rear. Front engine also helps keep the front of car down on launch.
Awesome build 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Loving it! Put the motor up in the motor mounts
Looks like a mini dragster ready for the track😁
Definitely my favorite build next to the Porsche and the $1000 truck!!!
Definitely bring the engine forward! It looks amazing though mate, keep up the great work
Those wheels look perfect!
I think you need to move the engine forward. But you need to get the cooling system mocked into place. Not much room there. But its a cool project
I've always like the Honda crx body style. But ive gotta say seeing one as a slammed hotrod, that's one bad ass looking car.. awesome work mate 👏 👍 👌
