This is THE most ridiculous troubleshooting video ever for NOT dispensing. Its silly that your only solution is to make sure theres water in the tank and then you only talk avout the hose. No one is coming here for that! The whole issue is the water isn't dispensing from the bottom to the rug. Only the solution tank is dispensing.
Solenoid part number 25686057 is likely at fault if its not dispensing. See youtube video titled "My Hoover Smartwash is not spraying"

This thing wouldn't pickup water, no suction. Nothing clogged. Tried the hose, put the suction end into a bowl of water. It started ducking the water. Removed the hose, made sure the the litter hose door was closed. All is good now. I'm thinking maybe the pump needed priming. To much air not enough water to get it started. Hope this help. Seems the author of the video us no help answering. Here anyway .
I will never recommend or purchase another Hoover product. The hose attachment will not dispense the water/solution mixture. No clogs, the machine is practically brand new. Two years old, has been used maybe 5 times. Absolutely ridiculous.
Mine has been used maybe 10 tines, and the rollers won't roll. Their idea of fixing it is to clean it and that will solve your problems. I take it apart every time inuse it and clean every hair and piece of debris from the inside and outside. So aggravating!

So mine longer suctions anymore, I took out the dirty water tank and it has suction from the right side. But when I use my hoover smartwash no dirty water goes into the tank. Also when im using the hoover a bunch of foam pops out from the bristles. Also there no suction from the hose connection. Only suction my hoover has is when you remove the dirty water tank and feel the right side hole. Plz help
I was about ready to throw my Smart Wash in the trash because loss of vacuum. I had cleaned everything before but to no avail, but tried again after seeing this, and it is back up and working. I must have missed a piece of lint that caused loss of vacuum, but my spot chase doesn't work even with a change of batteries.

The hose underneath has detached from the unit. How do we put it back in? Does it need to be twisted back in? Carpet cleaner is not that old.
I have the old model with orange plug inside the tank, it is plugging upwards after using the machine only 1 minute..i have to shut it down for 2 minutes, to let the orange piece go down and unplug the tank...the tank still empty
Should detergent spray out from the sides of the unit while moving forward. I notice that where the brushes are, a small amount of detergent comes out from the sides.
Hi. My hoover power platinum not dispense after change the motor in agency of hoover, kindly for hose no problem of dispense.
**I found a resolution to loss of suction not mentioned in the video.
When putting all the compartments together, make sure everything is clicked in place, specifically right above the dirty water compartment. It doesn’t tilt back necessarily, but you almost have to push the vacuum handle forward further past upright to click at the top of the dirty compartment. This has caused me loss of suction on multiple occasions.

Any tips on reattaching the removable recovery nozzle? Absolutely does not snap on as y'all show, doesn't snap back into place at all no matter what is done

After trying to trouble shoot this product, i have thrown it away. Realized on trash day that it was a horrible idea. I quickly ran down to the end of the drive way and grabbed it from the curb right before the trash man grabbed it. I proceeded to take it into my back yard, hit it with a hammer several times and then i caught it on fire. It now hangs in my lawn as a lawn ornament amongst the weeds.

I used the first time and it worked like it should with the bottom cylinder collecting all the dirty water. I emptied it and cleaned it along with the filter and the brushes and it stopped collecting the dirty water, so my carpet is all wet with the top cylinder doing what it is supposed to, so I have to put it on dry to try and get some of the water out, but it is still not pulling the water from the carpet. I like how it cleans, because I have a light colored carpets in the bedrooms, but I can't get it to perform like it did on my first use.

I went to Hoover site and it had me take everything a part again but it worked like a charm.

I was too - but after the video I went back to make sure EVERYTHING was snapped back together - and I found the lid on the dirty water reservoir wasn't quite back together. That fixed my problem! @@katybachman8921
Do the brushes only spin while walking or are they supposed to be powered and actually spin rapidly from a motor?

My hoover smart wash brush turn for two seconds then stop. I cleaned the brushes and bearing parts in brush assembly, but still, the problem persists. Can you please advise what the problem could be?

the user manual does not say how to put detergent into the smallest "Solution container" (the washing machine Hoover has 3 containers: for clean water - 1 gallon, for output dirty liquid, and the smallest one for the cleaning solution recommended by Hoover manufacturer). So, do we need to put 3oz of cleaning solution into the "Solution smallest container" without mixing it with the water? this is never nowhere said.

Mine isn't dispensing even without the hose. I've used it only once.
The brushes not spinning is a known mechanical fault because the machine was poorly engineered. Either the belts loosen or the ball bearings begin to rust after a short period of time. If it’s bearings, I let the brush arm that has the bearings soak in vinegar to remove the rust. This worked for me but requires a long period of time because vinegar is a mild acid hope this helps anyone.

Mine won't dispense anything through the hose attachment. I tried making sure that the hose was attached properly and also held down the trigger for one minute, but it still won't dispense anything. I've also tried taking off the hose and manually pushing the pin on the dispenser with a closed ball point pen, but even after a minute, the pen came out dry. Please help!
Same here. It just stopped working.
@@ronswansonsdog2833 I contacted Hoover and they sent me two new hoses for free, thinking it was a hose issue. After the hoses came in, the issue persisted. Contacted Hoover again, and thankfully my unit was still under warranty, so they sent me a new unit after telling me to pretty much decommission my current unit. The new unit works perfectly. Hope this helps.
I took the solution container top off to add more solution and a white washer fell off the top of the container. I have tried every way I can to add this washer back on the top but my solution leaks and rus out quickly when reattached to the Smartwash. Can you show me a picture of the solution top so I can see how it goes back on

how on earth do you put the spring back in the solution tank. some how mine came apart when cleaning.
Did this cause your solution to stop dispensing? That's my current problem although the spring looks alright from what I can see. But my cleaner won't dispense any of the solution just water from the clean water tank. Everything else works fine besides the lights that say wash and dry but I'm not to worried about that.
I find your solution for the brushes not spinning ridiculous. Can you show where the belt is located or is there another solution to this problem?

That's what I thought. You can't get to the damn belts. We have gone through 3 of these things. You would assume that my husband would stop buying them. But he's a man ....so.... no offense men but ...I'll go now

OMG this is the same thing I'm dealing with. Maybe used the thing twice! Do they realize that they spoke of a hose and totally missed that the problem could be about the water not dispensing to the rug from the bottom...duh! Did something work for you?
My Hoover is throwing out water from the bottom, and even when I used to handle to clean up the stairs, water is flowing out to the bottom of the shampoo I’ve only used to six times
Same, I’ve only used mine a handful of times. Cleaned after every use. And now on use 5 or 6, as soon as I put the clean water tank on, it immediately empties all over the floor

I just took mine out of the box and it only says dry when I turn it on. I push forward and back and made sure solution and water are in correctly. Please help!

Brand new out of box and the stupid thing has issues sucking up the dirty water. Seriously? It's clean, first use. Reset all the tubs and it finally worked. Second use same issue but this time nothing is working.

Mine is not sucking up anything. I watched this video and I was right there with you all the way until the 2:56 point where you show a totally different hose...where did that hose come from? I don't have that. Unfortunately, I am now wondering how in the world I'm going to get the soapy water-soaked rug dry. I really don't want to go to Safeway tomorrow and rent a Rug Doctor. Please, please, please....can anyone help me?
I think the hose you're referring to is the furniture attachment hose. I couldn't get the water soaked up either - but after the video I went back to make sure EVERYTHING was snapped back together - and I found the lid on the dirty water reservoir wasn't quite back together. That fixed my problem!

Unfortunately does not heat water. Only way is to use hot tap water or boil water

I used mine 2 times and the nozzle will not snap in. Beyond frustrating.
Mine worked once and stopped. It’s dispensing the water but not sucking it up. I followed all the cleaning instructions and nothing helped.
I used this machine a few times and now won't work. I've tried everything. Called customer service..... no one there to take my call. ugh!!!!
We bought one of the spot cleaners from hoover and the pos stopped sucking. Literally a couple months after buying it and only using it a couple times. Never again. Did everything and still nothing

My hose isn’t dispensing solution and all the help desk did was ask what solution I used and when I said wlmart brand carpet cleaner they voided my warranty. Beware of saying anything other than their solution!! I see everyone else with the same issue. Must be a manufacturer defect
The solution is leaking on mine, not even a year old. I’m basically cleaning with water
I always add extra cleaner in my clean water tank. Try that as a work around. Hope that helps.

Up: I fixed it after checking the hose connection port. Something stuck deeply inside, after cleaning it started working again.

Bought a Hoover Smartwash about 1 yr ago. Barely used, 3 times for small areas 5-6 sq.feet. We kept the machine really clean. It still look like new but the 4th time took it out to clean stairs, the attachment hose won't spray water anymore. Bad product... will never buy any Hoover product again!!!
OMG You literally gave NO advice on the leaking solution tank-you just said “take it out.” Wth 😂 Mine has been leaking so bad & there’s no replacement in stock. It’s going to ruin the motor, I’m sure.
I have had the same problem. The leaking solution has ruined my floor and my carpet. To top it off, I was using the machine and it just stopped working… Absolutely no power…Like a fuse, or maybe a burned out motor… I’ve tried everything to get to work. I’ve had it for two months

This video is ridiculous. 1. It's common sense to clean everything that dirty. 2. OBVIOUSLY WATER and soap need to be in the containers.

These are the worst, I mean worst videos for assistance. What I want to k o, is why at 2 weeks after a burning smell, and NONE of your locations will assist, but suggestions is to buy another! Say what this was already $300 and change!
This video is junk. I will never buy a Hoover again. The brushes will not turn because they are rusted. I have called them a few times (they say they never heard of this issue even though they have a videos on it ) uploaded all info with pics on bbb website & they can see that but still can’t send me an email they say they have sent. Lord knows stay away from this brand. Oh mine is under warranty and they still want me to jump through massive hoops. All while dealing with the loss of my only child.
