- Water Test Day!! Before I go through the process of repairing the Rotten Floor in my 2000 Bayliner Capri 1952 I wanted to see how the Engine runs under load. I fixed up the Trailer, Detailed the boat for some much needed UV Protection, and Installed a new Bilge Pump. Oh course I picked a bad day to water test. A rescue team was putting in at the launch because someone capsized. It was a crazy windy day. I went for it anyway!!

I have a 2000 Sea Ray 190 CC and watching you work on your boat was like looking in a mirror because I am exactly like you in wanting to do whatever has to be done on my boat to get it spot on.

Good vid like that you used affordable products, and you pointed out how to take care off all that work don't use harsh detergents that strip Away that finish. A BOAT IS A LOT OF WORK But worth it thx for your honesty

Did career in navy on frigates fixing everything the ocean ate! Have had boats on boat coast! My favorite boat now is my buddies and my 2 ben franklins I pitch in when we go offshore few times a year!

LOL! Speaking of bellows, my first Bayliner('85 model)had the old OMC outdrive where the bellows sealed the outdrive to the transom. Unfortunately the rubber was vulnerable to muskrat which gnaws on it like a kid working on an chocolate Easter bunny. One afternoon I walked to my pier and found my boat had capsized after filling with water. My next boat did not have that outdrive.

I tried to get the gas tank out of mine because I am trying to get rid of rot, but guess what? The tank is full of gas? There was literarily gas dripping out of my drain hole when I lifted the tank and it tilted a little and gas came splash...I think its old gas too, now got to figure out what to do with all that gas.
