    It is a good idea to tighten the nut, lightly lubricate the parts that rub against each other, and add thread lock to the nut, and ideally add another nut behind it. And then cover the bottom of the hinge area with duct tape to protect from dirt ingress. Some people also replaced the threaded rod with a more robust tempered steel one.

    Loosen the nut under the folding mechanism and remove the small bit of stud, then replace it with a M6 110mm bolt and a locking nut - however, you won't be able to fold the scooter anymore after doing this, but the scooter will be solid

    Easy fix. U can see those 4 screws. Those are cheese metal and u can just broke them and replace them with bolt, washers and lock nut. All noises and stem play is gone. Ofc replace the nut under the folding mechanism.

    Same here, tight everything and lube the folding hinge parts

    Check that big black but that's on the bottom part of the stem, you have 2 of them 1 goes down and the other 1 up, they are different sizes that require large wrenches like 29mm or 30mm

    Have identical bike, tighten the bearing, and all bolts now and then.
    Awesome bike, actually. Love it.

    I am almost about to buy a scooter from Alibaba, but everybody says too buy one from a known brand like Vsett, Kaboo, Dualtron, Zero, Varla, etc etc... because they say chinese scooters are a waste of money and you'll just be buying problems. But idk... why do you guys think?

    • @johnjohnson999
      @johnjohnson999  Před 2 lety

      Didn't had much chance to drive the scooter (probably about 30km) as the weather is cold out here. Scooter is a beast when it's on turbo mode, but think it's waste of money as it does not look very robust. Time will tell.

      @slick1908 Před 2 lety +3

      I know a guy that has 20.000 km and counting on this exact frame like in the video. I don't know any other scooter besides dualtrons with more kms than that.

      @@johnjohnson999 yeah, btw the problem you have is fixable, there is a nut under the folding mechanism that needs some tightening

      I have one off of Alibaba, it's the SH-11 and it is "Rock solid" ( looks exactly like the LAOTIE Land breaker) with more features 5800w (52mph wGPS) 45 AMP controllers,40 Ah LG battery,finger print reader,keys, and alarm.street tires. $1380 total 1 1/2 years ago after 940m still no problems, great "BEAST SCOOTER"!! Don't believe the hype!! almost all scooters come from Asian countries!!

    Hi. there is a nut on the bottom of that lever, you tighten it and the problem should be solved.

    • @lionelhowell4972
      @lionelhowell4972 Před 2 lety +2

      @@PetrolheadBG you may need to change out that bolt under there to a really hard coarse threaded one because those strip easily!!! you may not be able to fold it again but that stem will be "rock solid"

      @zdeneksmejkal1050 Před 2 lety +2

      4 vertical bolts connecting the beam to the front fork are allowed. I recommend replacing with M8 strength bolts and tightening the nut. Tried to me and OK

    • @lionelhowell4972
      @lionelhowell4972 Před 2 lety +1

      @@zdeneksmejkal1050 I agree, you will have to change out some of the bolts to hard steel, or iron .. the engineering is flawed in the stem area for a scooter this large and fast. and they claim it's good for off-roading from the factory?😁😁😁
