    Hello, I just received my Ti30 and found your video very informative and I have started a shopping list looking through your comments. I was wondering how you waterproofed your turn signals. I also saw that removing the deck the first time can be difficult. Any advice on how to break the rubber seal? Have you done a video where you opened up your scooter? I would love to see your waterproofing seal and thermal pad sandwich. Any new information you have is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time

    Been thinking about getting one of these because bang for the buck seems pretty good. I live in a very hilly city so for me torque for hills and range is my priority. I don't care about top speed because the majority of the time I'll be doing 25 mph or less. So, if you don't mind me asking, how many AH is the battery in your scooter and how much do you weigh? I'm on the lighter side at around 160 lbs so I'm hoping I'll get more than 30 miles of range.

    • @maxsinventions8913
      @maxsinventions8913  Před rokem +1

      The scooter is a great choice for how cheap it is. You'll probably spend about $200 to replace the handlebars get better grip tape, and also get thermal pads. For you since you going up hills all the time the thermal pads are a must. Basically I took the thermopads in Sandwich the controller in between the bottom of the deck and the top of the deck. That seems to really suck the heat out fast. When I'm doing pulls I can feel the heat coming off the bottom and the top of the scooter platform. I've only done it once but I drove to work, and that was about 30 mi round trip. For the first leg of the trip to work I was going close to 100% speed. When I got to work it said I had about 45% battery left. I had to drive the rest of the way home around 30 mph and when I got close to my house I was scared I was going to run out of battery and I could tell it was throttling me down so I just took the back roads home kept it around 20 mph and got home. I was curious to see how many more miles I had left in the scooter just in case I needed to push it that hard. The front motor turned off in the back motor was powering only and I was able to drive about 5 more miles before I head to walk it home. So that day I did about 35 MI.
      If I if I was only going 25 mph I think I could easily get like 40 miles maybe even more. The real killer is stop and start. I'm on the heavy side I'm 200 lb.

    Max, 2 questions - when the battery has 2 bars is the front wheel in gear 3 supposed to intermittently cut off? Should i always use dual motors? I hear if i dont i am putting too much strain on the back motor. Thanks!!!

      @@valdezm_comhey mark, a couple things can effect this from happening. The battery could be cold and the controller is entering limp mode, or you battery is low and can't keep up with the power demands.
      Even though you have 2 bars of battery left, a significant punch of acceleration will drop your voltage down 3-5 volts depending on temperature and battery health.
      If you find this is happening alot, keep the scooter charged to at least 65v (safe for battery) or you can adjust the P settings so that your display shows a more appropriate battery level. To do this follow this instructions:
      Power on your scooter.
      Hold the Mode + Power buttons (3-5 seconds) to access the P-setting menu.
      Use the Mode button to toggle through P-settings.
      Press the Power button to select the P-setting to adjust.
      Press Mode button to increase the value, and Power button to decrease the value.
      To save settings, allow the LCD display to timeout (3-5 seconds) or long press Mode + Power buttons to exit the menu
      Find the settings that shows a value from 42-55 and then from there you can lower that value to prevent the motor from cutting off, or you can raise it it make the battery meter more sensitive.
      The gauge is basically a guess since there is not a coulomb counter inside the controllers, so personally I keep the voltage displayed and watch that. If you want more info on how to read the voltage and estimate range via loaded voltage I can go into that or you can track the miles. You should be able to get about 30 miles at high speed with street tires.
      Hope this helps.
      PS, I wouldn't go below 51 in the p settings.

      Also there is no reason to not use dual motor unless you want less power. The rear motor only mode limits the max power to the rear so it doesn't skid out so you will not burn it up. I only use it for training mode for friends and people I meet on the trail. 😅

    • @maxsinventions8913
      @maxsinventions8913  Před rokem +1

      Hey. Still have this scooter. I recommend it. It's very cheap. I would recommend getting new mtb handlebars and a stem. It does not come with a seat, but I'll save you the hassle, I bought the seat and it's really bad. Don't buy it. It has a suspension thing inside it that creaks and pops when riding and is very uncomfortable.
      The scooter is crazy quick for how cheap it is. The tires are unbalanced and you need to deflate them and ride around for a couple feet to reset them, reinflate them with an air compressor as they are tubeless. You need to tighten the rear suspension through bolts to make it more stable. There is one mod I recently did to the scooter to make it more stable that is too hard to explain but if you subscribe I will be posting an update on the scooter soon. Overall the scooter is great if you can tinker. Once you fix the small problems it it just as good as the very expensive scooters. But when those $$$ scooters break you have to send them back to get fixed. Any more questions just ask.

      The scooter's still good. I only have 700 miles on mine, so it's not like it's a daily driver. You definitely have to go through the scooter when you first get it and tighten every single bolt down and also use some lubricant in the rear suspension. But overall the scooter is really fun for the price.

    Should it be in 3rd gear just there like that? What happens when u accelerate will it shoot out from u see your feet? I’m trying to figure out how to put mine in 1st gear before I ride it for the first time. Or not sure if it even matters at all

    • @maxsinventions8913
      @maxsinventions8913  Před 10 měsíci

      I wouldn't worry about changing the gear from 3. All that really does is adjust the speed limit. For my scooter gear one is around 20 mph, and gear 2 is around 42 mph, and gear 3 gets me to around 50 mph. If you are first starting the scooter, the acceleration will want to rip it out of your hands. So you will want to start the scooter in rear mode only and Eco mode. When you get comfortable riding around like that you can change it to rear mode turbo, then do dual mode eco, then do dual mode turbo. If you do it in that order it can gradually build your feel for the acceleration sensitivity.

    • @maxsinventions8913
      @maxsinventions8913  Před 10 měsíci +1

      There is a p setting to activate Regen. It's on by default. You can test it by lightly pulling on the brakes and not enough to squeeze the actual disk brake. You should feel and hear it braking. eAbs is a feature I've never experienced but that's because my Regen is on low and in order for that to work the Regen braking needs to cause slippage. But that is not going to happen on low.

      They are good. They get hot if you do not use the blue thermal pad. I think a majority of the broken controllers are due to this and also improper bracing, allowing the controller to bounce around. Default power cut-off is 50.5V, but as i understand it starts happening at ~ 60% battery, (59.5V on standby) with dual motor turned on. So is it normal to get stranded (impossible to turn on without a charger) in the middle of nowhere with more than half of battery capacity?

    • @maxsinventions8913
      @maxsinventions8913  Před rokem +1

      I don't really notice a drop in performance until around 55-56v nominal. That's when a full powered acceleration gets down lower than 50v on the throttle display. Technically lithium batteries hold most of their charge at around 3.7v per cell so using voltage as a direct measurement of charge can make you believe your range is 67.2-50.5, but realistically that 59v-50v range could only be around 20% of the total battery capacity. I like to look a load voltage. Once I get below 58-56 v while under load I know I should have around 7miles left. I never take it that low anymore, try to do shallow charges to keep the battery healthy.

    • @maxsinventions8913

      You need to charge the scooter fully obviously, but then you need to check which gear you are in. You should be in gear 3, and then you need to make sure you're in dual mode, and if you're still stuck, then you need to check your p settings. Go to the p menu by pressing both the power and the m button on the display. Then you will navigate to p8, using the buttons, then you will hold the power button until the value under p8 starts flashing, then you will use the power button in the m button to go up or down in value. You want to turn that value to 100 for 100% power, if it's any other value then that is limiting your top speed. Hopefully this helps you

The size will vary per person so mock it out with some pipe or you might have a mountain bike you can steal the parts from. I got the 31.8 mm handlebar. Very strong. You can get a shorter stem for quicker turning. But it's more likely to jump out of your hands.
      The seal I used for the battery cover is permetex windshield self flowing silicone. Just let it dry over night before replacing the cover and be sure to not let it get in the threaded holes.
