It was the most electrifying experience of my lifetime. I'm certain that any seismographs in the area measured some tremor activity before that kickoff. You could feel the entire stands moving.

The band you see on the field is the Highty Tighties, the regimental band for the Corps of Cadets. It is the oldest collegiate band in the state. The band in the stands is the Marching Virginians which were added in 1974 to represent the newer civilian portion of the university. Traditionally the HT's take the pregame performance while the Marching Virginians do half time.

My favorite entrance for of all-time for Virginia Tech was the 2003 game against Miami. The place was electric.
