As someone from the UK who just didn’t realise how huge US college football is, I find it mind blowing the sheer scale and atmosphere you guys generate at these games. It’s crazy.
college football is actually incredibly similar to european football, more passionate fans, tier system (P5, G5, low major, D2, D3), way more regional, local rivalries, even all the way down to high school football which would basically be the equivalent of supporting your local non league club
I’m 61 years old and been watching college football for over 40 years. By far, the most electric college football atmosphere I’ve seen was at FSU in the late 80s/early 90s when they were playing The U. The Captains would meet at mid field for the toss and slowly the entire roster of both teams would follow out and begin taunting each other with the coaches doing everything they could to prevent fights from breaking out. Then the Seminole mascot would ride between the two teams to the 50 yard line, turn and face the hurricanes, and then plant that flaming spear like he was saying “let’s go to war!!!” The feeling was electric and the stadium would EXPLODE!
Penn State white out, Virginia Tech Metallica, and Clemson down the ramp are some of the most thrilling environments. Exactly why college football is always best.

I went to a FSU game vs Florida back in 2013 when we had Jameis and it was by far one of the most intense moments hearing the crowd do the Chant… it’s so intense
The clemson entrance is by far the best. The keep those fitlthy hands off my rock was the most hype start to a game. Those carolina games are something else.

i went to Clemson @ FSU 2016 and man that stadium was loud as HELL. And the all the seats are like high school bleachers so the stadium feels like it’s shaking
Playing on a college baseball field with not that many people in the crowd and hearing the cheers going through your chest is absolutely incredible. I can't even imagine what it's like being on the field in a stadium of this size with this many people.

They literally make the seismographs at the university register a small earthquake. No NFL team has a loud and as passionate fan base as SEC schools. 50,000-60,000 is a packed NFL game. While SEC games have over 100,000 generally. The numbers alone make it impossible for NFL games to be louder. Then you have the pageantry and passion of college football.

I went to Oklahoma State but I spent a few years in Virginia and went to a couple Tech games. By far the craziest entrance I have ever seen. That place fits about 100k people and everyone of them is jumping with Sandman playing. The stadium shakes so much I thought it would collapse.
The high school I went to before I moved schools had a coach in the 80s and 90s who was a huge FSU fan and embodied every fsu tradition he could to their football team.they even had the same uniforms(almost they were a little different) and had the spear on the helmet. I went to a few home games and let me tell you they sounded just like these fsu college games but not nearly as loud because not as many people but still had the band which was one of the top high school bands in the area and the fans still did the chop after every big play

I’ve attended many White Outs at Penn State. It’s literally defining in there. The video didn’t even do it justice. I remember the OSU game in 2005 when it was so loud in the stadium Troy Smith had trouble calling the plays in the huddle. One of the best places in college football!
That's crazy. It's way louder than is possible in normal settings. 100k fans. I was about 20 rows up from Michigan's QB when they had to call TO because it was too loud to communicate the first play of the game, maybe 2019. The stadium went nuclear when that happened.
VT is amazing. They are all very good. Technically Jump Around isn't an entrance. The FSU chant is Seminole approved. Gotta give Nebraksa fans and entrance their due that despite several losing seasons they still pack the place.
My wife became an NFL fan in high school thanks to MNF and John Madden explaining the game. After we got married I kept telling her about college football atmosphere. Once I took her to a game she was hooked.
I'm a OSU fan, I did not search this it was in my recommended for some reason. I enjoyed it, I smiled because I loved seeing everyone happy and having a good time.

The New Big House - at night 👌 The dark, long & gigantic new press boxes along each side of the stadium now keep all the crowd noise IN, sharply contrast with the intensely vibrating ocean of MAIZE below , and make you feel like you are in some kind of menacing Hadron Collider about to spawn a back hole. The ENERGY is INSANE 😵
The icing on the cake for FSU’s entrance isn’t even shown. Its Chief Osceola and Renegade riding to the center of the field and planting the spear.. the crowds “WOOH!” will make you skip a heartbeat.
It’s hard to compare anything to 110K fans dressed in white jumping up and down. I think Happy Valley becomes the 3rd largest City in PA during a home game

Looks like the 4' mark was most replayed. . also the night of the "most electric moment in college football" when Michigan's Shea Patterson had to give up trying to snap the initial play, because it was too loud (and then got even louder when the crowd saw what was happening).
Top 3 in this order. 1 Virginia Tech- Enter Sandman, 2. Florida State - War Chant. 3. Penn State - White Out. I’ve attended several Virginia Tech games and it is always electric. Ask North Carolina about watching it from the field. LOL
