Subjective List Not Perfect. Got inspo for this video from the recent Edwin Diaz entrance video. Gave me goosebumps and could easily be the best of all time, it just feels a little too soon to supplant the legends. Mariano Rivera, Trevor Hoffman, etc. There are undeniably some other cool entrances out there. It's just hard to find good video sometimes for them. Trust me, I looked for John Rocker alright? Haha. Hope you enjoy the video regardless. Cheers!

2000's kids will always remember... if you were the opposing team, and you heard "Enter Sandman", the game was pretty well over, and you could fire up the team bus. Mo was that automatic.
Yeah I agree until my heart was broken in 2001
"Hell's Bells" wasn't exactly good news. Which was more devastating depended on the league you rooted for.
Narco is like that now with Edwin Diaz. You hear that at Citi, game over.
Yep. 2003 “Welcome to the Jungle” was a bad sign for hitters too
@@roberthudson1959 yeah and hells bells started all of these
Hoffman and Mo in '98 were magic. The two greatest closers of all time and they both got to go all the way to the WS
If only Hoffman got a chance to pitch in thw WS
@@xypherus777 he did. He gave up a 3 run homer to Brosius in game 3
Koji’s best year ended with a World Series ring, which was an amazing postseason for him and the Red Sox
@@alexanderbean7737 Brosius… this guy also collapsed BK Kim in 2001.
Yanks light Hoffman up in that series. The better closer shut the do. I watch every game. Yankees were unstoppable that year.
Ricky Vaughn was one of the greatest closers in the history of baseball.
The fact that he's not in the Hall of Fame is a travesty.
The haircut alone should be on display in Cooperstown
Karinchak on the Indians actually uses that as a walk out
He made that position powerful I didn't like him but he something
He was accused of juicing after the 95’ season. The writers will never let him in. I refuse to believe he was on the gas.
@@rayfranchino9493 yeah you can't be that dominant and not be accused of juicing.
The bells tolling before the music is so much more intimidating than any of the other ones
Undertaker vibes
For real... I was literally thinking "chit that would be terrible to have to face Hoff after listening to those bells..."
Diaz is killing it right now with Timmy Trumpet, especially the live performance. Never seen that in baseball before.
Mariano had Metallica play him out in his final game.
I think MLB should do that more often with other closers of course lol
@@yankees512417 You're talking about an entrance to a pre-game ceremony compared to a live entrance in a save situation... certainly not the same.
@@Rangerstown00 I could have sworn they played him in from the bullpen.
@@yankees512417 He ran out for the ceremony from the bullpen to Enter Sandman, which was played live by Metallica.
I get chills every time I see Hoffman come out. Miss him
Fun Fact: Hoffman was the first guy to use a walk out song
@@teddy_scott36 uh no... Dennis Eckersley used Bad To The Bone with the Oakland A's in the late 1980s
Had to have been there to see Trevor time and the crowd goin crazy
@@sportsmedia25 Eckersley was a monster in the late 80s for Oakland
@@chriscitizen5457 I was there in the 90's. I was there in 98. I remember when it was Jack Murphy Stadium. Then Quallcom. Best of times for sure.
Loved it when Trevor Hoffman pitched for the Brewers and I got to feel the excitement when "Hell's Bells" played when he trotted from the bullpen in person! Electric indeed!
Love how they spelled it “Haufman” in this video lmaooo
Agree!!!
Happy to see Trevor at #1!
Loved hearing Hell's Bells when he pitched for the Brewers!
That meant the game was over
Never threw over 90, but had such outstanding consistent control he put the ball EXACTLY where he wanted it
Bro they should make Ryan Hensley play Hell’s Bells whenever he walks up for a save
Should play Hell's Bells when he walks down to the end of his driveway to get his mail!!!
Trevor Hoffman's entrance gives chills every single time.
I feel like you got this right. Well done. Putting Ricky Vaugn on the list was a nice touch btw 😂.
Thanks!
Haha yeah that’s awesome
Not that G** Damn song again 😂😂😂😂
Lol
Really number 1 in all of our hearts.
⚾⚾
Honorable mention, the mid-2000s Mariners were awful, but there were a couple years in there when JJ Putz was lights out. Lightning effects on all the screens and Thunderstruck blasting as he came in was elite.
I came here just to see if anyone else remembered thunderstruck and J.J.
exactly!
Then he became a Met
@@lilworm5054 You got Diaz now so its ok
Ya I remember that just when he was dback
2013 Koji deserves to be here.
I'm a Red Sox fan and Rivera's is the greatest entrance of all time.
You know the guy's great when the team's greatest rivals respect him. Also, I'm a Yankees fan
@@Thy_Will_Be_Done1527 Absolutely! Mad respect for one of the greatest closers of all time.
@@etothej THE greatest though, no one of the greatest 😋
@@Thy_Will_Be_Done1527 I mean, we did pretty well against him, but yeah, he's arguably the greatest. 😊
Sox fan....its hands down mo's entrance!
Eric Gagne walking to the mound with "Welcome to the Jungle" blasting has to be right up there.
Kimbrel too
@@glennstarkey7087 Kimberl doesn’t get a walk out no more. As a dodger fan he’s the worst closer I’ve ever seen
John Rocker.
I will not stand for this Gagne erasure! "Welcome To The Jungle" was epic.
With "GAME OVER" flashing on all of the video boards...Epic
Everyone knows that Mariano Rivera's theme is one of the best walkout songs ever. It's every opposing hitters worst nightmare. As a Yankee fan all of my life Rivera is one of my favorite pitchers.
Hell, I’m a Red Sox fan and I’d say the same thing
Which explains why he's on this list.
@@jackoff1826 only real baseball fans know this this guy must have been smoking for this list
@@jackoff1826 he should be number one though
@@james-kk4mu I'd disagree there, as that song isn't the best of the bunch in the situation... in my opinion anyway. I'm sure Metallica fans would feel different from me.
I’ll always remember as a kid watching Smoltz walk all the way from the bullpen at Turner field with that huge drum pounding at every step he took. Major Goosebumps.
Came here to say this, glad others have this memory
Diaz camera view from behind as he jogs out onto a packed Citifield is just cool af. His entrance is number 1 for me
MO's will always be #1 for me. Enter sandman gave me chills everytime I heard it, knowing that the game was pretty much over
Those trumpets get you reved up for sure
Same
Growing up in SD, you knew what hearing Hells Bells meant ....its TREVOR TIME!!!!
I was getting so worried hells bells wasn’t coming but you nailed it. Trevor’s a beast
Grant Balfour coming into the game to One by Metallica, the entire Oakland Coliseum doing the Balfour rage was always memorable
Not sure how that didn’t make the list
Growing up going to Pads games, I can tell you there was nothing like hearing the bells chime. Seeing Khalil Greene and Mark Loretta group up by 2nd and watch Hoff come out was spine chilling looking back at it.
Khalil Greene was soooo sick!
I would literally hope that the Padres didn’t score more than a 3 run lead so he would come out
I grew up at Brewers games, and I had the exact same experience. Lol
yo i loved koji. dude was automatic. didnt fuck around and just got outs. low stress closer. loved him in boston.
2013 playoffs koji was the best closer in history.
Any one remember Craig K’s entrances into turner field. For those who don’t know. Let me take you back to 2012. It’s the first time you’ve actually been to a night game. Braves are up 2 thanks to a homer by Chipper Jones and Jayson Hayward. Lights go off in the stadium. Fire runs along all the screens. Welcome to the jungle starts playing. The man comes out and we already knew the game was over. Don’t know if it should be on the list. But it’s a hell of an honorable mention.
This. This is all I could think about. It’s at minimum an honorable mention. It’s obviously not a Mo or Hoffman entrance, because they’re legends. But the energy was so freaking crazy when that guitar hit.
Too bad he’s trash now
Yeah stole it from Éric Gagné entrance...welcome to the jungle.. Game Over
@@anthonyromero2218 I wasn’t saying Eric Gagne’s entrance wasn’t electric or the fact that he used Welcome to the Jungle. But only thing that was the same is the song. So not really “stole” it. I don’t remember Gagne’s entrance coming with lights going out for effect and everything, which the theatrics is more our point I think than just the song.
It would literally light up "GAME OVER" on all score boards as he had a 80 something save streak
Best closer entrance of all time is Rick Vaughn no doubt, glad to see he's on the list especially what he did in the 89 season
Yeah there was a brief period where was horrible and couldn’t locate, but once he figured it out he was unstoppable
And especially considering he was a juvenile delinquent in the previous offseason.
How are you so stupid he isn't a real mlb player he is from a movie you and your 2 friends that cpmmet on yoirbpost on reallu stupid
How are you so stupid he isn't a real mlb player he is from a movie you and your 2 friends that cpmmet on yoirbpost on reallu stupid
dorn strike this MF out after banging his wife ultimate line
Still honored and privileged to have met Trevor Hoffman, one of the kindest guys and man oh man did his entrance just give chills. That stadium would get loud
Just met him today actually and i can definitely agree
Papelbon "Shipping Up to Boston" during that WS run was awesome.
Jonathan Papelbon - Shipping Up To Boston is my all time #1 as a Sox fan
Eh i think it was obnoxious like he was but I'm a yankees fan so obviously biased. Great up in greater Boston area and everyone was obsessed with that song like it was their personal manifesto
Love how Edwin Diaz entrance just crushed everyone overnight. Not even a Mets fan
Diaz Timmy trumpet was the best entrance ever I saw it live on Wednesday. astounding
We need more video like this on CZcams ! Thank you !
So glad to see Trevor Time properly represented here!
Diaz is doing great right now, don't let anyone take that away from him by constantly bringing up people that ain't here anymore. They had their time and now it's Edwin's.
with trevor hoffmans entrance
the first bell always gave me the shivers
Hell's Bells can't be topped. As a 40yo Padres fan, when this came on it was game over. Fans knew it, the Padres knew it, the opponent knew it.
*VIVA LOS PADRES!!*
Game was over Unless the game was important
@@domannuzzi1446 Trevor's #1 flaw: Tie games.
If he went into a game with the score tied, he was giving up a run.
Otherwise, 2nd best ever.
Mo was better, but I hate saying that.
Even as a Twins fan, Mo is my favorite pitcher of all time. I'm OK with Hoffman as #1 since the Yankees picked Enter Sandman because they wanted something similar to what Hoffman was already using.
I rarely go to games... so when Hells bells hit I didn't know it was coming. Got goose bumps.
I went to the Twins game where they honored Mo with the broken bat chair; it was 7-1, but the Twins brought it back just enough that the Yankees had to bring in Mo for a one-out save. Twins even played Enter Sandman for him!
The way Mo takes his glove off to walk to the mound was always just so epic to me
Number 3 absolutely killed me was 100% not expecting that
Even as a mets fan I feel Mo's will always be the best
i will stand by my opinion that in terms of purely the song, diaz has a better and more fitting song. but in terms of whos entering the game, rivera's is cooler because of how legendary he is
Diaz is way better
I can't wait for Diaz
To Start giving up
home runs
We all know
he has it in him⚾️
Trevor Hoffman
meet
Scott Brosius
Well he is the greatest closer of all time for a reason
I’d switch 1 and 2. Nothing better then Mariano coming out to enter sandman and I’m a Red Sox fan. The music matched the person
That last one Holy cow gave me the chills, never seen that guy before
Diaz’ walkout will always be the greatest to me
Diaz trumpets 🎺 entrance with mascots……
Effing awesome
I think Mo had the best entrance. Especially in his final All Star game at Citi Field when he came out all alone and the time Metalica played live.
Rivera & Hoffman are legends - from a die hard Mets fan. Shoutout Diaz 🔥🔥🔥
Koji coming out to the Pride FC music is just awesome.
Real talk, Ricky Vaughn is what goes through everybody's head when you think of intros. Then to see it at #3...nicely done.
LOVE THIS CANT STOP WATCHING IT
Some nights and days at turner field in the early mid 2000s watching smoltz were some great memories
Star Wars Empire march!!!!
I was at that Vaughn game when I was a teenager. That place went crazy. Never be another one like him.
Man i absolutely loved watching Hoffman pitch. i agree with this list too
That change up was pure nastiness
Wild thing! YOU MAKE MY HEART SING!
You walk EVERYTHING!!
Hoffman’s gave you chills.
Bro Edwin Diaz entrance is fire 🔥
What I'd give to experience Hell's Bells one more time man.
You missed 2 great ones.
Eric Gagne with game over on every screen with Welcome to the Jungle blaring.
And Jonathan Papelbon with Shipping up to Boston got Fenway rocking.
edwin coming out with trumpets blasting is a scary scary sight to anyone not in orange and blue
When I first read the title I said if the “Hauf” isn’t #1 I call BS!!
Glad it didn’t disappoint
As a long time fan since 1970, a peanut vendor in the 80’s in Jack Murphy Stadium, to Petco Park in the 2000’s, I still get chills when I hear AC/DC’s Bells toll and think of Trevor jogging in for another save. You got this one right as it was the number 1 walk in theme song ever!
Agree. I grew up seeing them play the last few games in Jack Murphy, then Qualcomm. I was fortunate enough to hear the bells live as Trevor took the mound. It was also Tony Gwynn's final season.
Mariano!! The Best!!
Growing up a Giants fan and being at games when smoke on the water played for Robb Nen coming in was pretty epic.
I was a college closer and I can tell you, a good walk out song is crucial.
Nailed this video.
Perfect list! I played for the Padres in 98… when Trevor came out in SD, it was CRAZY!
You were on the '98 team? That was a fun team to watch!
I feel John rocker should be on here purely due to the sprint alone it is absolutely legendary
Bad dude but the entrance was iconic
Great dude
Diaz intro simply the 👌 best
LOL... legit, did not expect Vaugn! Bravo
I can remember being lucky enough to experience Trevor Time in person quite a bit as a long time Padres fan and I will never forget the instant electric atmosphere that happened as soon as Trevor walked through that outfield gate and the bells tolled. Seeing the video took me right back to it and gave me chills!
Eric Gagne literally told the batter it was Game Over. And it was.
Gagne had the best 2 year stretch of any reliever ever. His curve ball was filthy.
But, he was a Dodger, so fuck him.
*VIVA LOS PADRES!!!*
Hoffman, at Qualcomm.... when you heard the bells. It was over. He was almost perfect in the 90s and early 2000s
I love how we're just adding a clip from Major League because it's that iconic
トレバーホフマンが出てくるときの鐘の音は心の奥がゾクゾクするようなかっこよさがある
I'm lucky enough to say I was able to hear the intros with each of the top 3. Not Wild Thing for Vaughn, but they played it for any Cleveland closer during the preseason series they played in Milwaukee several years back. I am certainly bias to Hoffman at #1 as I was at his 600th save which was rock concert level loud. I'd imagine the Rivera experience would have been better outside of a random summer game I was able to get to.
Sand Storm though, is just epic. Great video.
I was at game 6 of the World Series in 09 when Mariano came out and I thought the Stadium was going to collapse. Would have loved to see Hoffman come out to Hells Bells.
Edwin’s gives me chill but yet I still dance
You got this list correct with #1, watching hoffy for so many years in SD was a treat every single outing, this video brought back those chills. Great work
Congrats on 1,000 subs
John Rocker in New York will always be my favorite. Dude had real heat with the fans it was a spectacle.
He's only not on the list because of his comments. If this was an actual list of entrances and didn't take into account the snowflakes who would attack the lists creator it would have rocker as 1. No one else is even close.
🤨
This was fascinating to me. I didn't even know walkout songs/closer enterances were a thing until the Edwin Diaz thing happened. Man, I've missed out on a whole aspect of culture!
Love this but The Sandman would send you straight to bed, quickly !! Lol God i Miss those games ! ❤️❤️❤️
I grew up in San Diego. When Trevor took the mound in Qualcomm stadium it was awesome. Never felt the same at Petco park
#1 Trevor Hoffman is spot on.
Great memories
I’m so happy that Vaughn made it on the list.
Watching Mo stepping into the field with Enter The Sandman should be No 1.
Not even close.
nice video. so glad you included Wild Thing!!!
Grant Balfour coming out to One and the whole Coliseum doing the Balfour Rage in 2012 will always be my favorite.
hoffman's gives me chilles every time
I had totally forgotten about Trevor Time! What a way to show up!
That “OFF SPEED KILLS” sign was so sick
I wish Eric Gagne made the list. Having “Welcome to the Jungle” as your theme song is badass and the fact that he played in LA made it that much better.
Same, I expected him here
GAME 🕶️ OVER
Hoffman really was the Undertaker of the closers lol 😂🔥
This list is solid. The order as well is pretty solid. Awesome.
I love it... Ricky Vaughn at 3 was aces... love that you put that in there.
Rivera 608 saves, best song, incredible athlete. Here comes the cutter, try and hit it. Best ever!
I’m sorry but Edwin’s Narco smacks everyone else in the face
The Edwin Diaz entrance….. The Best !!!
Jordan Romano running out the pen with Tsunami blaring is so iconic
It's inconceivable that this list does not include Eric Gagne and "Welcome to the Jungle". He still holds the record for consecutive saves at 84.
I know right!? It's almost as if eating a "balanced breakfast" during that period has an effect on how people view him today! The ABSOLUTE NERVE of some people, right?
gagne didnt last very long... and yeah, steroids
Ok, I thought that Mo was 1, but I didn’t know Hoff played Hells Bells
I was so glad Trevor time made it! Being in the stadium when hells bells began was a whole other experience!! Especially when they went to the World Series!
WILD THING 👏👏👏 YOU MAKE MY HEART SING
Eric Gagné and Welcome to the Jungle is a painful snub from this list. 84 consecutive saves. Early OO's Dodger fans were praying for the set up man to blow a lead just so that it would be a save situation in the ninth. Without Gagné, I've got two words for this list: GAME OVER.
i'm so proud of Uehara 🇯🇵
Fun fact, Mo was the last player to wear #42 on a regular occurrence bc mlb allowed him and the other players who wore 42 at the time of retiring the number for all teams to finish their careers wearing that number
Mo and Hoffman’s were the best to witness. Especially Hoffman, playing music that sends a shiver down the opponents backs 🥶
