    • @groundedfalcon
      @groundedfalcon Před měsícem +4

      @@trackmaster152002 There's a huge difference between the in-game experience and watching on TV. Plus, if you are going to do a ranking, think about the other aspects of the stadium like parking or ease to get there. Wrigley and Fenway have trains to get you there easily, but I would not want to park at either. Here in Atlanta, there's no subway to get to the stadium and parking at Truist can be challenging. One of the reasons I love Petco is not only because it's a great stadium, but there is a walkway from the Omni Hotel to the park. Couldn't ask for anything easier. Oakland is easily the worst stadium, but their parking lots are huge and it's on the BART.

If you not sitting in the outfield seats in right field, it's hard to find your seats. Now that was my first time going to that stadium so it was hard to get around, but still. Right field seats are right by the entrance. Soon as you walk through the door, it's right in front of you. You can't miss it. Another problem is going to the upper deck. My seat was in left field. I just wanted to walk around since it was my first time going there. It took me an hour to get back to my seat From going to the upper deck. A few years ago, most rankings would place Rogers Centre maybe 28th just above Trop Field and Oakland Coliseum. Blue Jays have done an excellent job of moving the old Sky Dome to a solid 18th rank. It has a great location in Downtown Toronto, with a view of the CN Tower. I think it will be like Dodger Stadium, Fenway Park, and Wrigley Field in that it will never be replaced.

      To be fair I thought Rogers Centre was going to be ranked higher. Granted the exterior is concrete with the white domed roof but in the evening with the LED lighting next to the CN Tower it looks pretty cool. Massive improvements being made still (phase 2) and the end results have been extremely positive amongst Blue Jay fans.

      Originally from Toronto, but have lived for several years in Los Angeles. I think 18th is generous, and I love Sky Dome. Some negatives to it are, even with improvements still has that round multi purpose boring look, and no natural grass. I have been to Dodger Stadium many times, and it is The Cathedral of Baseball, just an electrifying place to watch a game in an old stadium. All baseball fans should make it a bucket list. You can understand why that has a higher rank than Roger Centre.@@clemlowes9417

    Oracle is entering it's 25 season and it's beginning to age a bit. Nothing major, but the place could use a refresh. You're abolutely right that the relocation of the bullpens looks like it was done on the cheap. A lot of the park needs a fresh coat of paint. I was in the locker room during fan fest and was surprised at how worn out it looked. And the tunnels under the first level have always looked unfinished (a lot of concrete and duct work in a relatively enclosed space), which seem inappropriate since they are being used by the highest paying fans not located in the suites. Place needs to be treated a bit more like they're planning on using it another 25 years (which is reasonable given that I believe the Giants can extend the lease past 2060).

    A green wall in centerfield drew the ire of batters. As the sun went down over Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, it sent a glare off the wall.
