FOR CONTEXT:
Yoga instructor Kaitlin Armstrong is on trial for murdering a professional bicyclist named Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson. Kaitlin was in a relationship with professional bicyclist Colin Strickland. When Kaitlin and Colin were on a break in their relationship, Colin very briefly dated Mo. Friends described this as basically a very casual, very brief dating period, without much emotional connection. Things didn't work out romantically for Colin and Mo, but they allegedly remained friends. Prosecutors allege that Kaitlin became very jealous of Mo ever since, and that this jealousy drove her to take Mo's life.
After she was questioned by police, she fled to Costa Rica on her sister's passport, where she dyed her hair and had plastic surgery that changed her face dramatically. After she was apprehended, she tried escaping a second time, this time from a doctor's appointment she had in jail.
Trial in this case began on October 30th in Austin, TX when a jury was paneled. On November 1st, the prosecution and defense gave their opening statements.

Yes, it is. It took me a while to pay attention to this case. This channel helped focus my attention so I could understand what was going on. My goodness! What happened to Kaitlin to turn her into this monster? Collin's career is over. Who would ever sponsor him. He comes off as a loathsome human being. And poor Mo, her friends and family. I am sure the family members of Collin and Kaitlin are devastated too. But I come back to Kaitlin. What happened to her?

She sure did, but she simply demonstrated poor judgment and character by hooking up with a guy who had a crazy-jealous, deranged girlfriend at home who Mo was well aware of. She should have pulled away and found someone single instead of getting sidepieced.

If Mo had not been wet for Colin and had backed tf off when she was warned by Kaitlin on several occasions, all of this would have been avoided. Instead, she blocked her number and completely disregarded her friend's advice to not get involved with this Colin dude whom her friend had dated previously. Her name is Amity Rockwell according to the evidence presented in court. Then Armstrong's two close friends revealed to her that Mo was still hooking up and pursuing Colin despite prior warnings via phone call to stay away to which Armstrong replied that she'd murder if Colin started dating someone else.
You don’t have the right to “warn”people who they can and cannot date especially if you yourself are not dating that person. No one is required to end a relationship, romantic or otherwise, because some random psycho said mean things to them.

Even her own cycling friends, who had dated the guy prior, warned her to not get involved with Colin because Kaitlin meant business. Where I come from, you can get your teeth swallowed if you dare to mess with someone else's partner.

@@warrenstringham415 he wasn’t someone else’s partner, every one involved knew that he was single. The entire proposed motive was that she killed Mo so that he’d have no choice but to go back to her, except she got caught and will likely go away for the rest of her life.
