Just passed the basic riding course and got my bike (sportster 1200 xl custom). Definitely going to take it to a parking lot and practice more before I take it out on the streets. Thanks for the videos my dude!👌

I just passed my msf course and should be getting a bike soon. I will be doin a lot of this when I do. Like you said first 50ish miles in a parking lot.

That's the exact same bike I used in my training course. I found it to be maneuverable and beginner friendly but when we took them on the highway the rebel had it where it counts and none of us had trouble keeping up with traffic. I'm trying to talk my gf into buying one :D
I think the ones using the course or 250cc. This one's a 500cc so hopefully it'll be a lot better on the interstate. I took it up to 70 easily and I didn't feel like I was going to fall off. But you are 100% right when it comes to this being a great beginner bike. I'll probably be doing a review on it because of that
You're right they were 250's not 500's. It was a great bike to use when I took the skills assessment to have some of the restrictions removed from my learners license (not sure exactly how licensing work in the US) I completed the exam with zero demerits. I doubt that would have been the case if I used my Shadow 750.

She keeps talking about wanting to go ahead over and try out a dirt bike. Our son is 11 years old and really wants a dirt bike.
I'm so glad I tought my girlfriend how to ride a her own dirt bike, before she got her own motorcycle. Even though they are both extreeeemly different, she caught onto the concept of riding on the street bike really fast. She started on a TTR125LE, then she got a Ninja 300, now she replaced her TTR125 with YZ125. Now we love riding both street and dirt, do it every week together. It's funny how stressful it can be to teach your significant other how to ride on dirt or street, even when they have their own bike, you don't want anything to happen to them or their bike, and you want to teach them every single detail when they start.

I've driven the rebel 300 since Kate April and I can tell you all from experience that unless your leg inseam measurement is shorter than 28 inches, you will be a little cramped on it. It's really meant for people around 5 foot to 5 foot 5 I'd say. I wish there was some way to extend out further away from me the pegs on both sides and rear brake pedal and gear selector peg system. 32 inch inseam here. Yes I'm an idiot for choosing this bike. Yes I was in a hurry to get on two wheels, no I don't regret it.lol
Good job! Sitting up close to the tank is way better on that bike. You can also squeeze the tank better with your knees.

She is doing great. Gonna be doing much the same thing with my daughter soon. She's been riding dirt bikes for a couple yrs but I want her to have a lil more practice on a street bike before I let her run around lol

Where's the and she was really looking comfortable she was having more fun and that came a lot quicker than the last practice. So that means that her confidence is coming quicker and quicker and quicker. So that is very good

When you get the audio sync’d between you two, don’t be constantly yaking at her. Too much distraction will not be beneficial.
Put her true the white belt moto jitsu course more options to control bike
Just a point from a sound person, in this vid your mic is *extremely* distorted about half the time while her's is fine. Your voice is loud enough to locate your mic a bit away\farther from your head\face to equalize the amplitude of you *both* so viewers won't have to 'gain-ride' throughout the video with a finger constantly on the volume rocker\buttons.

@@claygruber7808 It has been raining here and I don't have any warm gear. :( I can layer up everywhere except my hands, gloves are too tight to put anything under me putting something over makes my hands too slippy on the controls. Imma buy better gear for next year.
