2:03 slow corner, more auto oil dropping

I grew up racing dirtbikes. Im 36 now and started riding on the road at age 30 and sold my last bike when i was 32 when i moved into center city Philly. I had 3 bikes during that time - the whole Yamaha MT lineup from top to bottom. I've been considering riding again and signed up for the beginner MSF course again here. Ive done the IRC and ARC before. This video scared the shit outta me. Your points about mental health really struck me. Im bipolar and ive been having a hard time recently feeling really down and lonely. I think i may not buy the bike now due to this video. Thank you for possibly saving my life.

Front tire sipes mounted in a reversed position of how they're supposed to be ! As the front tire rotates forward the apex or point of the (V) of the sipe should make contact with the wet pavement first so it can attempt to move water out from under the tire as it rotates ! All too often I've seen front tires mounted so the Sipe is positioned like this (∆) which will pull water under the center of the tread which would tend to cause the tire to aquaplane more easily ! More recently I've noticed that more manufacturers are mounting their front tires so the apex/point of the (V) Sipe contacts the road surface first to move water out from under the center to the sides which is what is happening naturally as the tire/bike moves forward.

11:52 if you see people slowing down in front of you, maaaaaybe think about slowing down as well so that you can maintain your space cushion and figure out what's going on. at a lower speed you'd be able to get farther over and not cut it so insanely close

Harley riders both, can't ride, and ride a bike not conducive to learning to ride. No exaggerating, I've seen exactly 1 person who could rip on a Harley. 1.

We need to make getting a license wayyyy harder. I'm talking if you cant control a drift on a slip pad, you ain't getting your license. The bus and train exist. You may say "they aren't as fast as a car is", which is true. Maybe America should of thought of that before making rams with 4 wheels the main mode of transportation. I’ve had around a dozen bikes, most of them motocross. When I got my Harley in the 90’s I was shocked how few riders knew how to handle a bike in a dicey situation. Always ride like you are the target. Plan ahead. Wear the best safety gear… I also spent around 15,000 hours in jet helicopters. When things go wrong there… well let’s just say the pucker factor increases exponentially ;)

left turners, violating the motorcyclists right of way, is the most common accident between a car and a motorcycle.. I mentioned this in some of my motorcycle videos on my CZcams channel. Left Turner’s scare the hell out of me. In the UK, it’s probably right turners that are the scourge.

9:48 just to add some information, the open lane here is for right turners, only buses and motorcycles can use that lane to go straight on the upcoming intersection. It's quite nice that in Poland motorcyclists can use bus lanes to move through traffic faster

I used to teach SCUBA. I needed Divemasters to assist me. Students would ask a Divemaster "stupid" questions, where they were afraid to do so with me. As an instructor, you know the only "stupid" question is the question that goes unasked! I especially needed female Divemasters. The guys were having a party in the locker room, asking questions, getting excited about things we did. The women were subdued and simply got showered, dressed, and went home. Getting a female Divemaster in there changed everything. I love the Honda Rebel's turn signal light -- Honda typically has them at the top of the display. I sold Triumphs. All of the Triumphs I sold had dim turn signal lights that were buried below the gages. One looks up to see things that will kill you (cars turning left, dogs, pedestrians, etc.). You glance down to see your speed, and back up to see things that will kill you. Then, down for the tach, and back up. One does not check the tach and then continue looking down to see if your testicles are still attached! With my Triumphs, my riders left their turn signals on, all the time. With my "retirement" bike, a Honda CB300R, when I enter a highway, as I shift into third, I will glance down for my speed, my eye tracks over the turn signal light, and I turn it off. Thanks, Honda.

I drive in Bangkok rush hour and long trips to the country. If there's an open lane the car will always take it. Some of these clips shouldn't be close calls.

That's why you mirror and head check even if it's just changing lane position, especially if you're riding in a pair/group

Beginning? Dude....I was there in 1978, the year I got my m/c license. Still riding, all sport bikes. And since 1978- I'VE KNOWN THEY CAN'T RIDE. I bet 95% or more COULDN'T pass a skills test on their current ride. Couldn't do a Figure 8. U turn? Lol....thankgod they sit so low, so they can TIP TOE!

I swear you've made another video watching this exact same motorcycle accidents vid. I'm pretty sure I remember 100% of these accidents and in the exact same order.

I'm sure get negative comments for this, but I believe that if you choose to Lane split, whatever happens to you is on you... Here in North Carolina it's not legal, and I don't think it ought to be legal in any state.. that's just me. I rode for many years, but I almost got killed by a guy, and I haven't ridden since. Safety on a motorcycle is a state of mind, and you're only as safe as you decide to make yourself.

Man, you are 100% right about gear. I had an accident on a bicycle at 35mph and lost most of the skin on my back and arms. I can't even imagine a motorbike at 70! Stay safe everyone

Hey Dan! I was out riding yesterday in Florida. And i had that moment where i looked ahead, saw that open lane pattern, and saw a car in prime position. In my head i thought "theyre gonna go for it!" So i just maintained a good distance and sure enough, they moved into that spot and i had successfully avoided any incident. It was glorious.

Man that guy leaving the dealership I felt so bad for him. I want to say he had no prior experience with manual transmissions. Was why he was struggling so bad. I have drove manual transmissions in my cars for 8 years. And I drove my bike 50min home from the dealership, though I was a nervous wreck and terrified I made it home with no issues. Excluding a lady that yelled at me for going slow. 😂🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Last week I looped out on my dirtbike at 50 mph I can agree road rash on your butt does hurt and it is a pain to take a dump invest in gear.
