I worked at Cycle Gear and we had climate surveys about female gear and we had 50% female staff. Spidi and revit are 2 of my favorite brands that we dont carry too much in store but they had a good track record with lady gear. The issue with female gear was that typically you ladies come in more shapes and sizes than males so getting stuff that fits a majority of yall is more difficult. The research is being done and the pink is being done away with so the future is looking bright

My wife wears 8-8.5 AAA/AAAA (she says it’s like walking on sticks) and everything I could find was in medium or wide.
We added inserts to help, but it’s a imperfect solution, as the inserts aren’t really meant to take up width.
Honestly, on the bike it’s probably not so much a problem, but ideally we want boots that can be walked a fair bit in, also.

Most styles I find is boxy cut for guys and poker-straight legs.... Even boots. I bought a beautiful pair of knee boots and I have to get the calf cut out and an insert made........They are lace-up already and I have an average-sized calf not even big. They are cut small for a child. So sick of no selections....I have to order in a couple of coats at a time to find a good fit and send one back. I like to have a couple of different looks when I ride depending on where/how far I am going.

I'm a bloke, but I have three girls and a boy. Good to know there are some less than obvious, more than pink sources of gear for my girls. When they are old enough...

Not sure how relevant this is, but the absolute best customer service I've received ANYWHERE, ever, was last week at my local Cycle Gear from a woman rep. Unearthly knowledgeable about everything, no ego, just super boss cust service. I almost don't want to deal with anyone else there.

I wish our local motorcycle store had even close to that many options for women. Thank you for making this video ❤️ I've been looking for clothes that will actually fit my form and not look ridiculous. I appreciate you 😁

THANK YOU!!! NO MORE PINK! i am so glad i stumbled upon your video! I have been griping to my local Cycle Gear so much about their women's selections (or lack there of!) that they actually cringe every time I walk in there! They LITERALLY have ONE display of women's (mostly purple and PINK) gloves and 8 displays of men's gloves, NO JOKE! Thank you for mentioning the brands, i had just learned of Tobacco a few days ago! My only local choices for shopping are Cycle Gear and Harley Davidson! Both mom & pop shops closed their doors due to retirement :(

Female rider here. I'm also in the YN discord. I'm also a taller woman. Gotta add that Pando Moto is a great brand for taller girls. My biggest complaint is the lack of more technical gear for women even from the big brands. Like, my boots and gloves are Alpinestars men's gear because they don't make the same tier of gear for us as the men (like gp quality boots and gauntlet gloves). I've been waiting for six months for matching leather pants with knee sliders to come back into stock in my size. It's a struggle still.

  • @andreacarolinarodriguez7906

Yessss, armored leggings 👏🏽👏🏽 I would love to see higher waisted riding jeans for women and more form fitting pants/leggings in general.

Although I’m part of the 98%, I do most of the research to short list items for my wife. So, I totally appreciate this content.
A more useful measure might be identifying how many subscribers are female riders and/or have a female riding partner vs how many are incels 😘

Long time female rider subscribing in solidarity! This is the internal monolog I have whenever I'm looking for gear. I'm petite 5'2 with a 38" chest - according to size charts I should be closer to 6' tall. So frustrating!

Love the sleeve extenders! I mean, something that fits in the waist, is large enough I can zip it up, and sleeves don't stop halfway down my forearms.... I just buy men's clothes most of the time. Apparently if you are over 6ft, clothing designers think you must be a bean pole? Nope, definitely not a bean pole..

2% female subscribers. I'm one of the male subscribers who watched. The market for women's riding apparel is much smaller than for men, but it's still large enough to have several quality choices, and not just mens apparel, recut, in pink and teal.

Get a set of AAA Pando Moto inner skin and BANG, you can use all your normal clothes.. I as a dude have a set of this and in warm days I just ride in their Commando shirt and tights like when I’m at the gym😂

I cant give much input for the female gear but i'm stoked to see there are female only rides starting to happen in california. One is Babes in The Dirt at Hungry Valley then there is another on the central coast which looks like a cruise. My lady is stoked on these.

I always just get concerned when I see smaller brands because I don’t know how safe they are compared to the bigger tested brands.
Ngl tho before the video even started I was like great another Whitney video awesome. Would be a lot cooler with Davis tho. Whitney knew.

I just want a very simple leather jacket with decent quality and protectio , the ones that are exactly my aesthetic are like $500+ or like $200 if they are mens. They have such a lack of variety, I don't even want to think about lack of variety for MX gear 😫 it's pink or another shade of pink.
