they have no knowledge about the technic of their cars. an air filter full of water... everyone deserves it. there are signs showing the road is closed. a few kilometers away ther is a safe way. everyday these videos put a smile on my face. and you can view the fails from different angles. there are several youtubers here .

You and your fellow Rufford Ford CZcamsrs provide such incredible "public services announcements". I have learned watching your videos to be aware of the limits of my own car in high water, etc. It amazes me with all the content you have put out there that people still don't get it.

I would imagine this will teach them a good lesson and probably make them fear even small puddles in future.

In fairness force equals mass times acceleration. There's an awful lot of mass being accelerated very fast, so as a result there's a lot of force on those plate holders.
I wonder though in this case whether this case whether the equation shouldn't read "dead engine equals force times mass times stupidity"

I've actually a new Range rover through an off-road obstacle course, including water which was deeper than that, and its a very capable vehicle when not driven by a Karen.

I know most are capable vehicles, if you can keep them running long enough. I would honestly say that by marque the most vehicles I see broken down at the roadside or on recovery vehicles (I actually saw a fairly new RR today on a AA wagon) are Land Rover products, so I stand by my claim...they're shite.

Absolutely mind-blowing. I guess they all forgot how to drive during the summer drought.
First car knew what to do, went straight for the air filter assembly. If the air filter is sodden, pull the plugs out to allow water in the cylinders to escape. The jag afterwards just tried to start again, hydrolocking the engine and probably knackering the con-rods and probably the rest of the engine too.
Swiss Army knife, fixes drowned engine. Not !

I am stunned that there isn’t complaints to the council about raising the road. I know a lot of the people doing the damage to there cars only have themselves to blame. But cars are being written off and damaged daily. The majority of people driving cars don’t get taught the potential pit falls of driving through water. You could be damaging your wheel bearings which might not show for months down the line. Personally I’d drive another route even if it added 10mins onto my journey.

Even serious off roaders will officially give a Wade depth of half a metre or so. And they are designed to allow that. Not so with regular cars. Shit will break with water immersion, later if not sooner or immediately

Not knowing exactly what happens to an engine once water gets in I've just watched some video's on 'hydrolock'. The damage is incredible, i had no idea. In a matter of a second or two, engine totally destroyed and depending on the age/type of car, the whole vehicle a write off.
What do those registration plates get held on with? Thumbtacks?
