Good People at iCast 2023

- Curious about the world's biggest fishing convention? I attended this year thanks to Pelican International and I captured some of the fun with my GoPro action camera. I used a Hero 8 and it seems that if you accidentally hit some buttons on the LCD screen, the color temperature changes. I'm not sure what that means, other then half of everything I video'd looked cold and blue. The air temperature at iCast, on the other hand, was Hot Hot Hot because it was again held in Orlando, Florida. I hadn't attended since 2019 and it was wonderful to see some old friends that I had met there before. I'm sure some people there are most proud of the big deals they brokered, but for me, it's the relationships with good people that I cherish the most.

I don’t think anyone in the community can say they have as many long term viewers. Your videos were some of the first I had ever seen. I can say, I’m happy the future of wilderness kayaks is in your hands, even if it’s just you testing and showing off what they have. I have been using my commander 120 for close to 11 years. I wish they would make that boat again, with some of the modern upgrades. I remember my first kayak being a perception. I have been using GSI for nearly 15 years. Good companies to support, and I appreciate you being honest. Thanks for all the help over the years and the inspiration to keep things simple. You’re pretty much the guru of grassroots kayak fishing.

Marty, I’ve been watching you since you poor man’s fishing kayak build and to be honest I never really cared about quality, all I cared was that I got to see you, just you and what ever you where working on or inventing to make fishing that bit more comfortable. Kayak DIY had it correct. Your channel was much cooler back in the day. Watching your poor man kayak ideas was very inspirational. Then you got big with pelican and all the manufactured kayaks. The best and coolest yak you had was old red. May you paddle the mighty seas with her again !
Idk he literally put a jet on that pelican that’s pretty sick and if it weren’t for a fan gifting him a hobie he probably would still be on old red lol

Inflatable Kayaks & SUP's have got a bad reputation here in the UK - numerous cases of them catching the wind and blown out to sea, and folk having to be rescued.

that recon 120 HD had a seat that was rotated, does that mean the seat on those rotate now or was it just not secured yet?
