- Amongst the marsh grass, we found a wonderful spot to spend the night. Probably the nicest anchorage so far. The new Danforth anchor held strong, the experimental, diy snubber softened the tug of the rode, and the weather cooperated, giving a peaceful rest overnight under a starlit sky. Before sunset, the dogs and I played on a deserted island. It was a short day of travel, long with joy. Why couldn't everyday be like this?

I always find it amazing how dogs are just up for anything you want them to do as long as they're with you. Dogs are just right there for whatever you want to do in life...

I have a mantis anchor on a 10’x32’ pontoon house boat I anchored on the saint Croix river and the wind easily enough always blows down River we had a thunderstorm show up out of the Northeast which was in favor of though when with the direction of the river I think my mantis anchors a 30 pounder We had 45 to 50 mile an hour winds come in on a thunderstorm that lasted about a half an hour my boat didn’t move an inch others had to start the engine to keep from moving on the anchor that pontoon boat is just like a big sale in the wind that mantis anchor is the only anchor I’ll ever trust I sleep on it and I’ve never had it move

I am wondering what you are doing right now, what adventure are you partaking upon? My energy level is sapped for the most part. I have no reason for existing. Recently I sold my camper and bought a real nice tent and a few camping accoutrements, I am ready for long term camping adventures. My kayak now rests on a custom made trailer that I am still perfecting AND I have a few measly responsibilities that keep me close to home, not to mention a dismal income. I can only dream about being a liquid as you are. Maybe some day. Tonight I am dining on prime rib and Brussel sprouts and a bottle of red wine, so things are not all that bad. Marty, maybe some day you can try my special brownies and we can pop a few cold ones. Until then, enjoy my someday friend.
