Men = fuck/marry anything hot or beautiful, they don't give a fuck as long as it's either of those and sometimes ugly does the job, but they don't marry ugly, has to be hot or beautiful. They marry ugly if they have no other choice.
And women marry anything into money and success. They don't marry beauty or hotness.

A couple years ago my wife and I were at a family function(we are in our mid 30s with 3 little girls of our own). 2 of her distant cousins arrived who are both in their early 20s. 10lbs of makeup, fake lashes, fake nails, fake boobs, fake everything; but definitely a commanding presence in the restaurant. I can see it on my wife that she was flooded with insecurity in an instant. I reassured her that being a hot girl pales in comparison to being a beautiful woman. I think hotness is superficial, while beauty goes deeper. I've seen women as well as men who were hot, but not terribly interesting or bright. They might be good to look at, but would you want to try to have a deep and meaningful conversation about the mysteries of the universe with them if they could never get past their looks or what others thought of them? Beauty, on the other hand, involves more than just the physical appearance. It's how they carry themselves, how they can conduct a conversation, whether they had a dark sense of humor, and their personal code of helping others. True beauty, when cultivated effectively, I think gets better with age. It's something I wish more young women could realize, because then they could stop shooting for the unattainable goals of perfection and instead focus on doing the best they can with what they were born with.

They will likely cheat on the hot girl too and cheat at a lot of things in life not just relationships, it's just a general character flaw they posses. If your partner cheats in games/school/business etc. Watch. Your. Back.
Another reason is because their chosen "life-partner" (the hot and beautiful one they married) is a prude. Which is why you'll come across stories of guys with beautiful smoking hot wives and not very attractive mistresses. The mistress actually puts out which was the whole point of having a hot wife in the first place.

I felt the same way when I was your age. I felt very insecure about myself. The thing that changed my life was going to University. I studied dentistry and it automatically boosted my self-esteem like crazyyyy. I felt so confident and proud in myself. I made good money and money also helps boosting your confidence. I also started going regularly to gym and my life really changed. As you get more confident in yourself, you exude that energy of demanding respect and being praised (may sound egotistic). Try doing something in life that will add to your value outside of the physical. attractiveness is mental as well. For me education made the trick. Right. Hotness is glaringly-appealing, head-turning physicality. And this can be subject to one's taste but it is almost always about the objectified person's proportions, vocal timbre, age. All things primally desired in a "mate." Beauty, however, though one might often ruminate on a person's physicality, it is with much more nuance and consideration. With someone beautiful, your first impulse isn't to seed or be seeded (though this may be your second or inevitable impulse) but to luxuriate in their features, lean into them, catch the way the nearest light source illuminates their eyes, their lips, both matching preternaturally perfect in hue with their un-painted skin. Hot is a young, 1995 Yasmine Bleeth. Beautiful is the singular visage of Isabelle Huppert. (add. Our celebrities, namely, actors and models, are hard to equivocate between hot and beautiful by virtue of their being. They are celebrities because they typically exemplify either both labels or begin hot and transition to being beautiful. We should all be so lucky.)

"....not searching for them in the same individual." This last small statement right there holds so much truth. The concept of what men want for their wife (aka the Beauty), and then if they can find the woman they can do all those things to, that they would never do with the mother of their children, this is the Mistress (aka Hotness). However, I do believe women get these persona's confused when trying to attract a man.
Attraction is so subjective. Not everyone is going to find the same characteristics Beautiful or Hot. This was an interesting discussion.

The result is that I’ve struggled way less in basically all my interactions platonic or not with women. Depends what you mean. A woman with a great face can have a sterile physical persona, be almost invisible walking by while a woman who is average face but has some beautiful movement in her hips and a sensuous physical demeanour can stop conversations.
It's still an outward manifestation of inner qualities, but it's not purely internal. The prettier woman with no sexual physicality might need to be more active or do yoga or explore Latin dance or do something external like that. It's inside AND outside regardless how you look.
Character and feminine connectedness are sexy and desired traits that can be visually evident.

As a single hetero male with some experience (57) I have always related hotness to individuality, compassion, intelligence, self sufficiency and determination. I always find the woman who doesn't need to be with me, but chooses to, to be the hottest. She also must have strength of character. Being readily available sexually is a bit of a turn off, however counter-intuitive that sounds. When I used to go to singles bars back in the day, I would always watch for the woman that would rebuff guys all night. She would be the one I would approach, and usually be able to flirt with successfully. I have met, and dated some very smart and discerning women that way. The women most men don't get to be with. THAT is hot! Usually a lot less drama as well, as they tend to be well grounded in themselves.

These days, the pain of so many heart and body breaking events and the strength to overcome them and fight through.. I've been told I am beautiful and unattainable more times than I can remember. I think a large part of the difference between "hotness" and beauty is the factor of accessibility or attainability. I carry myself differently now. I look people in the eyes steadily, seriously and defiantly instead of briefly and coyly. Things can change over time. People change. Labels are transitory. Not because men avoid responsibility (some not all) or because my mother couldn’t own a house let alone have a bank account with my dad signing off. Or the fact that I can’t get a hysterectomy without my husbands approval. No, you’re right. It’s because “babies are expensive” not because historically society has not supported the independence of women.
This is the first time in the history of the world that women can have children on their own and provide for a household without being reliant on a male counterpart. And with this new era, I know PLENTY of women who would gladly re-produce without the commitment of a man. Now let’s talk about how THATS an evolutionary lottery. 🤷🏻‍♀️

V good point. If marriage was true in the majority a good strategy for women at any point in history, why are married women's life expectancies on average shorter statistically?. Far more women consistently were abused in a myriad of ways under a veil of ownership but there were a tiny minority of women who won the personality lottery with a male mate who truly cared for them. That's less than 1%. Raising families does require steadfast support and women have always networked to achieve this in communities and villages. What were they doing alone when men hunted, fought wars, spent hours and days away with being repeatedly pregnant and no say in the matter?
Very very few men have the personalities and mindset required for the heavy lifting in partnership or marriage(eg being utterly reciprocal) as their entire being is founded on innate male superiority. Which is why marriage only works with the majority of men where a woman is lesser than (eg not confronting or assertive, consistently self sacrificing and has absolutely no desires of her own.....pretty much an indentured servant)
Once robots achieve the strength and labour of traditional male industries, (including guard robots to protect women from male aggression) those traditional men will loose all their footholds on women and marriage needs to go.
Marriage never meant happiness for all but extremely rare women and most women without means of financial support had very few options
