📌 Hey Everyone. In this video I show how you can destroy glass windows or any other kind of 3d object using particle systems and an explode modifier along with some other techniques. This is a really good way that you can realistically destroy 3d objects in Blender for vfx live action shots or animations. Stay tuned and let us know what kind of vfx you would like to learn next!

Really liking the structure of this series...going from the short, then a breakdown, then a walkthrough...and now focusing on topics individually. Great way to release the content!
Thanks John! Yes we are trying to find a way to systematically release videos that's interesting as well. Glad they are useful!
Nice!
Hi Brad, your alien invasion short film 'Contact' trailer which u posted in JBH Media years back that Inspired me to learn blender.. love your work.. keep inspiring us always.. 😌
Wow, this is a very good tutorial. Almost exactly what I was looking for. With the settings you explained, I'll be a able to do what I want (just the glass breaking and falling, like in Goldeneye 64).
Thank you for it.
I already have the Khaos add-on and lots of other things from the pack, but I haven't installed them yet.
Thank you! Excellent tutorial!
Hey Leonidas. Thanks for watching!

that looks very nice, thank you
Thanks for watching!
Thanks! I'm making a painting, and I needed to shatter some items for it... This covered everything I needed. Appreciate it.
Awww dang.... It worked great with one window... but what I need to do is shatter like 20 planes, and have their rubble pile up... To do this, I just added collision to each plane, and offset their particles start time... but the second I added a 2nd one, everything came to a crawl... There's no way this (despite that I have a solid computer w/ a 3080TI GPU) can handle that kind of calculation. Is there a better way to make panels explode like this, but for 20 or 30 panes that are each to break up into a bunch of tiny pieces? Something that isn't so computationally intensive?
Hmmmmmm that's tricky. I'm not sure actually. I'd have to do some more experimentation myself. If I figure out a way to do a sequence like this I'll make a tutorial.
@@LightArchitect - Been playing with Rigid Bodies for this. Seems to work well - though, I can't seem to make them smash into the geometry and stay there. Particles seem to work well with this. Oh well- really fun stuff to learn. So great that there are people like you teaching this stuff in a way that's understandable.
thank you so much
You are welcome! Thanks for watching our channel!
my most sincere thanks
You are welcome Jake!
Gracias estuvo lo máximo bien explicado
De Nada!
bro I need asking in khaos addon i need to change flame color but i don't know how do that
i have done the same and everything work but at the animation the glases are still as a volumen in the background with the particeles
Is it possible that you upload a link for the file?
I'm confused. What part of this requires the Khaos destruction add on?
Hi Jonsk,
This specific tutorial doesn't require KHAOS.Though you could use KHAOS debris fields to enhance the effect with more debris systems.
Mac is slow like hell man ! How u work on that potato pc?
Hv to admit u hv a zillion dollar patients.
Btw nice tutorial man
Well it's not quite a potato...but I should probably get a new one here soon haha. Thanks for watching Lakshman!
