@R B Gomes that’s kind of you to say. I must admit yesterday I went on a ninja warrior course and I was surprised, that I was one of the oldest, if not the oldest. And I did ok. Made a video too, which I’ll put on my channel next week.
That first scapula movement really helps. I’d been struggling and realized I wasn’t going all the way down and engaging the scapula. Once I did that, I went from 5 reps to 10 reps in my first set.

To be honest, that scapula pull is like 40% of the actual pullup. I've seen big guys that doesn't train pullups and just use machine for back, struggle from pullup bars. They just hang there and can't do a single rep because they can't lock their scapula.
Any specific advise for diet to shed weight. Also please provide stills of your exercise tutorials coz it gets a bit harder to understand for someone from India. Great Work, thank you

My problem is arching my back. I'm fairly large at 6'4" and 240lbs. I've done bodybuilding for 15 years and a few years ago I developed an imbalance in my scapula and traps from doing over/under grip shrugs at heavy weight for years. All of a sudden I get horrible trap tightness and pain on one side, the side that lets the scapula come UP during the movement, resulting in trap pain as the shoulder rolls forward. Now I'm noticing even doing dead hangs that my lower back is overpowering my abs big time, so just engaging my core during a dead hang to straighten my back, causes this scapular lift on my bad side. I'm going to work on scapular movements in my dead hangs like you're doing here, I hope to get this figured out as it's really holding me back in the gym.

Excuse me but the scapula is not a muscle, it is the bone that connects your shoulder to your clavicle. That muscle you are talking to engage is the Rhombus or Romboid muscle. It helps to know anatomy to exercise and not hurt yourself.
True but a lot of people are gonna know the name scapula not the name of the actual muscle.

You are if your body weight is 255lbs+
If someone is not 6’5 or over and they’re 255 lbs they have no business doing pull-ups lmao. get their ass on a calorie deficit they’re obese.
