It's new freaking mountain bike day!

- The time has come... For almost 6 years I have ridden more or less the same exact geometry on my full suspension trail bike. Don't get me wrong, I loved it. I rode Whistler's downhill park numerous times on that bike, as well as other amazing and punishing locations, but it's time for a change. Today, I'll show you my new Revel Rai, all its features, and the upgrades I've decided to add to it!

iâm excited for you to try out new bikes that arenât just diamond back
For real. He needed to hop off that deal.
@@gorski.photography Not really, Diamond backs are super nice bikes.
For content though, it's super nice that he can now review many bikes without problems
He never reviewed dimond back bikes either, lol like 3 of em
@@mikpiotto more like double that
It would be cool to see Seth take the Box BMX Race bike to a track.
I like the way Seth handles the split with Diamond Back. Very classy.
Wow bot scams bruh
Looking forward to new Revel riding content!

Nice riding images
Ever since you announced the end of your sponsorship with diamondback, I was wondering what you would be riding on next. Definitely not disappointed in your choice. Killer bike!
I love how your bike can kind of change color when in different lighting! The paint on the frame is absolutely beautiful
đ€đŻ
Thanks for riding our bike! We can't wait to see where you take it...
Glad to see you getting to try something new! I'd also like to thank you for turning me onto Diamondback back when I got into MTB. I'm still loving my 2017 Release 3 and it has tons of life left!
hi seth I've been watching you since 2019, back then i didn't even have q bike yet I still watch you, and then in 2021 i built my first bike a Fixed gear, then finally, I got my first mountain bike just last week and boy am I happier than ever that i can apply your tips and hacks on my own mountain bike now back then i only share them with my friends and cousins who have mtb's. you will probably not see or read this comment but still Im a genuine fan of yours keep safe seth!
So happy for you Seth! You already got such a sick channel and itâll definitely be taken to the next level now!!
the next revel lol

ok
Iâm so happy to see you branching out and trying new stuff! Absolutely beautiful bike
That's a good looking bike! So exited to see more of this thing and other bikes! Love the channel. I Have been watching since 2019. You are the reason I started mountain biking. I started with a $150 Walmart bike when I started watching you. I had never ridden on a mountain bike trail but because of you and how inspiring you were I saved up all summer for my first real mountain bike. As a 15 year old $2000 is a huge commitment. Without ever having ridden a mountain bike trail I decided this was for me. Thanks for inspiring me!
Your enthusiasm is very contagious. I usually really don't enjoy watching someone ride whatever trail. It's just that you are such a genuine enthusiast. Go ride that bike!!!!!!
As a fellow short dude I'm stoked to see you sticking with 27.5. Really hope they don't get phased out.
I'm a tall dude...sticking with my two 27s and zero interest in going "bigger", and, pretty tired of people telling me I should be on a 29 because of my height(I don't ride strictly for times...I like playing on a trail and bouncing a bike around). I'm actually planning to get a 26 soon, just because...they're fun!
@@GoodwinGlassworks hell yeah. I look for the same things in a ride and still have a couple 26ers I ride. If I could get a 26 frame with modern geo I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.
@@frog-spit-182 That's the key...the right geo. Though I've been purposely sticking with an older frame due to being so comfortable(I have two gen one Transition Scouts), but finding a 26 that feels as good may be tough. I'm looking at an old Trek Remedy again..had one a bunch of years ago and loved it
Tall dude here, I like the 29rs for a hard tail but I have 27.5 on my Enduro bike and couldn't be happier.
ok
That 170 ML travel sounds neat lol
Beat me to it.
Comes equip with a straw.
Beat me too it too
I was just scanning the comments to see if I was the only one
I had to rewind to make sure I heard it right the first time.
Hey, Seth. It's awesome to see your channel grow. You've inspired me to get my 11 year self out learning to become an experienced mountain biker. Thank you so much! Ps. Tell Oscar I said hi.
I love seeing Seth doing well for himself. I've been following the channel for a long time and it's been a great adventure to watch.
Seth, this new era is gonna be awesome! I'd like you to try and ride downhill bikes because you haven't ridden one on the channel and actually tell us how you felt about it. I'm so stoked for the future, and btw, sick bike, congrats! Ride safe!
Nice! Glad to see your finally testing a new brand, and that hub sounds INCREDIBLE.

I started on a DB because of you and graduated to a revel rail this past spring. Glad to see you on one as well. They are simply amazing!
Wow !!!!! Seth you deserve it brotha !!!!! You are doing so much for the community. Respect to Revel for throwing the bike his way !!!! đ
I recently purchased a Revel Rascal and am eagerly waiting for it to be delivered. So stoked to see you on a Revel! That company and the people behind it are awesome.
I've heard it's a pretty toxic environment from a few people that used to work there. They have a great marketing guy though!
Best bike ever
The dude finally got a new bike
Congrats! Smart move keeping yourself open to owning and talking about all bikes!
Dope bike, really admire how you left your sponsor for creative freedom đ„
I can imagine the revel online ordering queue exploding this week đ
Like it's not always like that.
6000 -10 000 $ bikes
Thatâs a freaking sick bike dude. The 2023 Rockshox Zeb is a fine tuned monster. We NEED to see you push this bike to its limits at whistler sometime soon!
Sorry to say but itâs a 2022 Zeb đđđ
@@MrMaxx._. ye new ones have the bleed valves

Definitely, would be cool to see another mahalo my dude collaboration.
Congrats on the new bike! Looking forward to seeing your upcoming adventures!
Super stoked for you man! Love following your channels.
Oh boy, Revel Rail... he's gone Worldwide Cyclery mode, and I LIKE IT!
Wondering if his hair will turn similar as Jeff's :D
@@Pienimusta hahaha yeah I'm wondering the same thing
Iâve been watching you for so long since you were in Florida man. Itâs a new time now and Iâm so happy for you Seth you inspired me to start mountain biking.
Try bmx. Much cooler

Congrats and respect for the decision to move forward more independently. You've made so many good decisions with this channel and this is yet another one.
What a fantastic video! Seth thank you for sharing all the cool footage, you sir are all class!!
Absolutely looking forward to new Revel riding content! An absolutely epic new bike - the Revel Rail is an absolute trail weapon! Seth, legend, keep doing what you do!
So glad to see you have the freedom to ride whatever now. I think everyone is excited to see what is coming in the future now.
Congrats Seth. I'm happy that your also doing and making content that you want to do with whatever bike you want.
So happy for you Seth! Most people will never get the chance to ride a bike that nice. Make good use of it! Also, thank you for doing you man! Way to go!
Dude HUGE props for this video!!! Its sick to see your main ride being so cool!
Iâve been riding my Revel Rail since April. Youâre going to love it!
Just took it to Dyfi Bike Park last weekend and it handled everything no trouble đđŒ
Nice new ride. đ Unboxing is always a good time.
Wishing you great new adventures and challenges to share with us.
Huge kudos for keeping it real. You looked happier than ever!
Congrats, slick looking bike! Love what those guys are doing here in Colorado. I like the concept of being able to ride and review what you want!
I love my Revel Rail! It is the dream in every way. Climbing and descending. Tech and Flow.
"I made a mistake!" đ€Ł I recognize the Outbound Lighting! I just picked up the combo going into the dark season of upper Minnesota. My first night biking adventures and loving it! Keep up the great work Seth! I always love seeing people turn passion into profession!

Super nice. Happy Bike Day Seth.
I'm excited for you Seth!!! That new bike is đ„!!! I can't wait to see what you do next.
Liking the new bike, Revel makes good stuff, got my friend to get a Ranger and I love the thing. Also, their geo isn't stupid crazy compared to other brands, think you won't find it an absolute massive difference in feel, but you'll definitely notice the difference. Biggest thing for you with this I think is the lack of feeling because of all the travel, think maybe the Ranger would have been a better match to your riding style = lots of skill, likes to move the bike around. As you said, that much travel can get you into trouble, BIG TIME, be careful đ
Any one else love that Seth is trying the revel rail
Definitely the most entertaining bike build videos I've seen.
Very happy for you!! Revel makes great bikesđ
When he talked about wooden features he didn't want to ride in the rain, I instantly thought snake pit. Right after that thought, he went and rode it. My respect for Seth just went to a whole different level.
Damn I actually thought it looked like the Canyon Spectral for some reason. Sick bike Seth that's one of my dream bikes rn but when your budget is tight u can't get what u want always, been a fan for almost 2 years now and you never disappoint to give me joy watching your videos. Love from the Philippines đ”đ
Love these videos! I donât even ride MTB but Seth makes it look so fun!
Sweeeeet new bike! I love the freedom you will have without being somehow beholden to a sponsor. I am looking forward to seeing more the Revel on the trails! Cheers!
What I like about Seth is that he never focuses on the bikes or the parts but simply just riding
Time to buy some stock in Revel.
Congrats, beautiful bike!!
Very interesting and excited for you to try out new bikes
Hey Seth, I remember loving the dirt transplant vid you did a while back on the mini slopestyle line, would love to see another vid like that on the thumbucket trail as it also looks like it could do with one.
Thatâs a clean ass bike Seth and that hub oh my đźâđš
Such a nice bike with awesome components!! The paint job is beautiful.
I love it!! And the intro never gets old
These videos are so relaxing lol, learning new ways to fall of a bike and to do something a little different but kind of the same

Revels always have the sickest colors. I would love if you started testing out really weird boutique brands
Agree, that is an incredible looking color!
Congrats! đ I know how you feel! I got my dream bike this weekend so I am equally pumped!
Savage⊠good work Seth đ. Keep killing itđ.
Alright, I'll say it. WE'RE ALL THINKING IT. Seth comes from BMX. He loves his hardtails. Even when it comes to big jumps or nasty tech... he tends to ride all mountain bikes, not even enduro. And seeing him ride this enduro is rad but...
WE NEED TO SEE SETH ON A DH BIKE. I'm not sure if he's ever ridden a DH bike when he visits parks, he's always on his personal. I need 200mm Seth directly in my veins. Please. Do it.
I have been begging for the past 3 years, Skills with Phil did it, the Singletrack Sampler has one, Seth even made one for Kevin back at Berm Creek. Still trying to this very day. Imagine the jumps he could boost on a dh bike!!
Hey Seth Iâve been a fan since the freak bike days. Any chance weâll get some non mtb videos again?
Your Florida keys bikepacking trip is still my favorite series to date. (Though I totally understand you not wanting to bike pack more. That was dangerous as hell lol)
Which one was the freak bike. Im thinking the single speed hardtail but that cant be it
Would definitely love to see another bikepacking vid again. I've only seen that twice but it was great both times.

whats so dangerous about bike packing?
Congratulations on the new Revel! I've had my Revel Rascal for almost a year now and still absolutely love it! Great choice.
rail has been my dream bike for so long, and i am sooo glad to see you getting one and reviewing it.
So beautiful that I think I would spend a few days staring at it before I took it out to get dirty and wet, haha. You can never have too much "stare" time, right? Thanks for sharing. I had a fat tire MTB for a while, which was fun, but I think your solution here is more practical and useful in more situations.

ok
Diamondback was a very giving sponsor but man did you just step up into the big leagues with that revel. That is a super sweet ride
This is a beautiful collab! Been following Dirty since he started writing at Drunkcyclist and made the transition to the bike industry. So stoked y'all are getting together on this! Def a showstopper bike đ€
Congrats on the bike! That is a sweet ride.
Seth: "I'm not going to take on a bike sponsor"
Also Seth: "My friends are Revel âsent" me this bike
Iâd expect he means an income source. Itâs a sick bike but itâs not an income.
@@michaelkay4464 The IRS would probably disagree when tax time comes around and Seth's got a new 11k bike to explain
I love Seth and his content but to say I don't want to be sponsored...but if you have a bike you can throw my way for free I'll take it đ
@@joeschmoe4361 the difference with 'sponsorship' is the sponsor usually wants something in return - publicity, race results etc. and it's almost always in the form of a contract agreed by both sides. If Revel gave him this bike with no caveats with regard to what content he produces with it, then it's not technically sponsorship - just a really generous gift!
@@jmo2752 they got exactly what they expected. No company does anything âfor freeâ
I've owned a Rail 27.5 for the past two years and out of all the bikes it's still my favourite to just get in some fun laps not wanting to go as fast as possible but rather just enjoy the time riding.
Probably sickest color bike I've seen!! New to the channel but definitely enjoying so far!
Seth, please do a â Im new to bike riding and I need to start commuting to school/work â video. Your experience and tips for a newbie will be priceless
Iâve been riding a rail for almost a year. I think youâll love it. The wheels are awesome as well. Bring it down to Jarrodâs Place and see whatâs itâs got!
Yesss!
What a beauty of a bike, love the color!
Super stoked for you. Sick bike
Great video as always, just one thing Seth, there is a difference between millilitres and millimetres lol, maybe misheard but I thought you said the travel is 170 millilitres which is used to measure liquids. Litre is like one third of a gallon approximately and mili means less in latin. While the meter is approximately a yard and millimetres are the ones that build up the centimetres and meters.
I hope mechanical shifting stays relevant for my lifetime at least.
That's a Sick Bike!! Enjoy, Seth.
Nice to see you master this beautiful modern bike
I still have the tiniest slither of hope that you'll get a DH bike
it would be funny but it wouldnt make any sense for him and im sure he knows that lol
3:22 "A hundred and seventy milli-LITRES of travel in the front"
WOW!! Never measured suspension travel in THAT aspect!
One of the cleanest bikes i have seen in a while!
OUTBOUND LIGHTING!!! Happy NBD, Seth. Excellent lights. I run them on a nightly basis...every night. Top notch.
