- This Diamondback Release 29 MTB was pretty much a pile of parts in my storage unit. With miscellaneous parts from the parts bin, our partners, and Facebook marketplace, we’ll build this into a full bike and donate it to a great cause.

On behalf of The Dirt Therapy Project, I want to thank Seth, Diamondback, Cane Creek and all of Seth's Loyal viewers for the awesome support!
Welcome to CZcams! Haha
We should be the ones thanking you, David!
No, thank you sir. For your work and sacrifices.
I sent you an email through the page. I would love to volunteer time with your organization in central Florida.
We can!t Thankyou enough, for your services. And to the men and women still serving our great country. Also for letting us have freedom,to ride our MTB. Thanks again.🇺🇲☮
As someone who struggles with issues from past deployments, this is greatly appreciated that you support a great cause like this.
Are you an active soldier/ veteran? If so, thank you for your service
What branch?
How bout some french cries with your wahh burger?
@@theymademepickaname1248 wtf?
Thanks for your service Stephen
His bike spare parts: Carbon handlebar, half a very good mtb, a telescopic saddle...
Now my bike spare parts: plastic children's bike pedals, used BMX grips, a city bike tyre and a clamp.
Good video!
I've got a couple parts bikes but they're old and rusty, lol.
I mean, he has been probably the most popular bike CZcams channel (or one of) for about 5 years so he has accumulated some parts
@@RedWingsninetyone we know. It’s just funny.
This guy has a bike better than mine just sitting in a pile in his garage.
I have a spare Trek hardtail frame, a half dozen wheels and tires , brakes, 2 spring forks, 2 cranks and gear sets, grips, pedals, and who knows what else. Oh 3 sets of bars including carbon bars.
*scoffs at you for having spare pedals**, look at richie rich over here. Ha!
As a veteran that went overseas multiple times. I really like that project. Riding my bike is my favorite way to release and relax.
Hopefully we can see you on the trails!
Nothing better for my headspace, than a little (or long) pedal through the bush.
If you ever want to go bankrupt, you could also try tinkering on remote control cars. So relaxing and satisfying until the credit card bill arrives.
@@deusexaetherarc cars are actually pretty cheap compared to mountain bikes
@@jordanoliveto5863 Or strap a ied to the rc car and boom PTSD.
10:30 its really wholesome to see Seth push his dad's bike out of the rain. Props man.
bro🤣
Jesus, bro, the savagery!
I had to re-read this about 5 times before I finally got the joke.
Might need to get into supporting dirt therapy. My dad spent over 20 years in the army and we lost him to his PTSD 2 years ago. He's who got me into mountain biking and we had been planning some trips around to some trails when I had time off from my new job.
Helping the community with and thanks to MTB, that's how you secure a place in my MTB Hall Of Fame.

@@danshilling4240 I'm surprised your comment is still here. Mine got deleted. Lost 3000$
31.6 mm is a nominal diameter - if the post and tube were both manufactured to precisely that size you'd need a mallet or more to get them together! Each component will be toleranced within a window a fraction of a millimetre either size of the nominal size to make sure any combination of tube and post fit together.
Thanks for articulating that so clearly! This is exactly why “close” is good enough when you’re searching for off the shelf bike parts. If you’re getting EXACT measurements you have a problem!
Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him. True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better! Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness.
God is three in one; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him!
As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him.
When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE!
Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals!
The world is wicked, evil, and of the devil. I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God.
@@Call_Upon_YAH I prayed and prayed and all that Jesus keeps telling me is to get rid of all of the non-indigenous people so I quit praying.
@@Call_Upon_YAH The thing is... You are wrong. I've read the bible (tried to read it anyway) and right at the very beginning the errors and hiatuses started piling up. God created men. Okay, but which god? It was Zeus obviously, but with help from Prometheus. Why wasn't he mentioned? And what about Gaia, Kronos and Ouranos?
echoing a lot of my fellow vets here, I achieve clarity and peace one mile at a time. This is a fantastic charity Seth, thank you for the support.
I'm not a MTB rider, just a regular gravel/road junkie, but I love your content. This is a very sweet thing, and very glad that it will go to good use to provide mental health services to others in need. Cheers, Seth.
You're one of the few MTB personalities that have selflessly given 100x back to the sport/community. You're awesome man!
Wow. That bike looks great. Let's stare at it. 😳. As a vet I'm proud to know that you did something so kind. Thanks sir. Keep on keeping on.
It's so cool how you take this bike and give it away to make someone else's life better. It also gave the viewers more knowledge about putting together a bike. Keep up the great videos!
It's a scam
Facts
Bomber crew mtb does something similar for veterans and friends in Southern California! We are friends with dirt therapy project I look forward to hosting some events together here in our area. I really loved the cause for which you built this bike Seth. If you or anybody you know in Southern California are in need of a veterans group please send them our way.
Bomber crew is the reason I got my new helmet! One of these summit/skypark trips I’ll get there. Work and what not gets in the way. Lol.
bomber crew is a fitting name considering american soldiers are bombing middle eastern kids into pieces
Been back 13 years, just started watching after buying a old bike and just getting it and learning about it has been a huge help
As a veteran I approve this video. Long time watcher and first time commenter. Great job Seth.
9 years with the British army, awesome to see help getting your veterans with mountain biking
good to see a brother from across the pond!
@@davidphillips9274 👌
During and post-career, I found/find biking very therapeutic. Be it on a MTB or on my touring bike, it's great at stress relief, great at getting you out and about, great at keeping the chubbiness down and great at introducing you to a new community of great people. Thanks for introducing us to The Dirt Therapy Project. I had no idea they were around.
Scam
Thanks for supporting the Vets!
thank you Chris for supporting us!
Awesome vid, Seth. Really enjoyed it. Cheers from Scotland
lol love how Seth just happens to have a 12 speed GX cassette in the spare parts bin
Hope u know it's not an actual bin and it's just for storage.
Early gang love you Seth
TDTP is a great organization!
Seth, come to Burnet, Texas and ride this fall with us at Spider Mtn and RPR.
We have small CZcamsrs and great people in our MTB community here. You’d have a good time.
Thank you for leading the way!
I've got almost the same colour on my Stumpy (with Specialized written just like Diamondback is written on the bottom of the frame) and this colour is just so stunning that I can't believe it!
Beautiful way to share the love of mtb 🤙🤙
That's a great cause seth, thank you for just being you and being so great
Thank you for your support!
Just want to say thanks from another combat vet. My bike has been a life line many times since I got out. It’s so great to see you support a great cause. You’re my hero man🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks for the support, Kevin!
People really can't appreciate just how important these programs are for vets. Good on yeah for helping bring attention to them!
The best thing about them is it Vets helping Vets. Getting the word out is one of our toughest and most important tasks. Please feel free to contact us, and even come on one of our rides.
You’re the best Seth! God bless.
Hey Seth, great project, loved and lived every minute!
As a veteran myself, I'm stoked to see this go to "Dirt therapy" the USA treat its veterans really well, pity the same cant be said about here in the UK......
Thank you Seth. As a retired combat vet I really appreciate you doing that. I wish we had some stuff like that out here in OK, but hey, it is a work in progress.
A great gift, to a worthy cause. Awesome job Seth much love and respect from 🇦🇺
That’s an amazing project glad to see it go somewhere so cool.
Thanks for the kind comment
One of my (latest) fav videos from Seth! Thanks, man!
Generosity of you and sponsors and companies that donate parts and equipment really brings a smile to my face…. At the same time, reminds me I can do more, and I will 🤙🏻
I must say the bike ended up looking beautiful and I love the colour pallete amazing build, and its so nice of you for donating it to veteran
Good job Seth👍🏻🤙🏻
thank you Adam!
Great bike, and a great cause! Nice job, Seth!
Thanks Greg! TDTP is a labor of love.
Thank you SETH! I am proudly apart of The Dirt Therapy Project and echo everything you mentioned! Thank you for lending your time, effort and name for the Program!
LEGIT!
Great video once again Seth great from you doing this
Good on you Seth! Biking kept me sane while living in Paris. I fricken HATE cities. Wave of revulsion every time I left my apartment hate. Parc de Saint-Cloud has a lot of hidden little MTB opportunities and I would ride the bamboo fat bike that I built around Longchamp on the wet days. The skinny tire guys hated that thing.
The problem is you were in Fr🤮nce
@@yayayayya4731 There are cool places, great roads to ride motorcycle on that don't have ridiculously low speed limits and great food in France. I just can't stand cities.
the XT left brake lever is an older model by at least 2 generations, the right XT brake lever is the most current model. hence the difference.
The left lever isn't even a Deore XT lever...
Thank you for sharing support for the program!!
Thank you Seth and Berm Park. I just stumbled up TDTP here in Southern California a few weeks ago. I am a firm believer that Veterans are magnetized towards one another. This is a great organization to support and I cannot wait to become more involved with them.
I have an alternative to those cable canks... we use them when we are building RC planes, they are Metal Regulator Pushrod Connector Linkage Stopper and they are about 6 bucks for 20 or so.
A decent comment for once nice. It'll be buried under back patting ball licking comments soon enough
The frame actually looks a lot to the specialized status. They both even have the same shock
Been watching your videos pretty much all winter while sick. Am a 63 disabled vet who used to ride a bike as my only transportation. While sick I decided I would look for another bike to help me get healthy, not knowing how sick I was.
Found and bought a mtb and quickly found out my body was to torn up to just start on trails.
In a flurry of everything coming to a head, was lifeflighted a month ago for emergency surgery to remove a tumor they found in my bladder. After getting home I found out I couldn't walk for any kind of distance, but was healing and feeling better. So I decided I would go on a hunt for a bike to rebuild while healing. Found a 40 yr old road bike for a good price and bought it.
Turns out a pedal change was the only thing new bike needed. First ride got me 30 blocks, 2 nights later got me 40.
Without people like you and the great community you encircle yourself in, I might as well be bedridden.
Thank you for your content and great connections to be able to help others like myself.
Finally subbed. Lol
Sorry for length,
Respect
P.S.
Biopsy came out with a very malignant tumor that is recurring. Was removed but will be back. Guess learning to ride trails became a bucket list item. If anything would like some film of my bike doing something with a professional rider at the helm...
Thanks again Seth for what you do....
As a retired mental health social worker I commend you for this. I have always owned a bike. Usually a big box store brand. I bought a Scott Scale and it opened the forest. I have worked with a lot of younger veterans and have actually got them into the forest. I got a Scott Spark two weeks ago and the mechanic is a veteran who gave me a map on some new trails.
Hey Seth, I was wondering if I could piggyback of your flip bike videos and do something similar. I’ll give you the credit but I just wanted to make sure it was okay with you. It will be my first videos so there won’t be many views.
It's not a unique idea, don't worry
man the companies really need to make their alloy frames weilds polished to make them look cleaner and like a carbon fiber frame, orbea is already doing it and looks amazing, because you get the aesthetics of a carbon frame without the price of carbon
Wow beautiful bike
Man that frame color paired with the grips looks amazing. Nice build
Great thing to do seth I hope it will put smiles on many faces
Outstanding! Thank you so much for your support!
Great gesture and I’m sure that bike will bring plenty of smiles.
Thanks for your support, John!
Great video and a great cause. Was rad having them on the podcast awhile back.
Great work Seth, going to a worthy cause. Should provide lots of enjoyment to Vets who deserve it.
Thanks for the support Pete!

Hopefully we can see you on the trails Devil Dog!

How i missed this when it first came out I don’t know.
But it was one of the most heartwarming I have seen.
Awesome Seth.
Absolutely love the B-Roll you do of the bikes, was beautiful in the rain, as well!
Today is tomorrow
I love it .
To be honest... Yes one of the things that I find best about mountain biking is definitely that it takes 100% of my focus and really lets me switch off work, stress and other issues.
Quite unlike road biking, which is actually brilliant for getting your head straight and having time for deep thoughts.
For the pipe cutter trick, there is a tool that exist made for it that grind the outside and inside. I used it into the shop where i was working at and it's really fast and you get no rough edge. It's called a inner and outer reaming tool. Have a good day !
Anything for veterans gets a big thumbs up from me 👍
Small tip - if you don't have star nut setting tool there is a little better way to hammer it inside - just put the top cap on the screw, secure it with standard nut and screw star nut into. While hammering the top cap will go flat in the end of the tube, assuring straight position of star nut. You can use pair of nuts to block them against each other on "right position" on the screw to assure the depth of assembly will be good every time without thinking about it. Very simple DIY star nut setting rig that you can have basically for free (like screw, old top cap and 3 nuts are usually lying somewhere around).
Well done Seth, great job, great cause. 👍🏻
thanks for the support
The Dirt Therapy Project does some great work, thanks for showcasing them and hello from Texas!
We will see you on the trails Jeff!
You're awesome, Seth. You are so meticulous and you do a wonderful job putting that to use for good. Bless your soul, my friend!
Seth, you continue to bring me joy. So glad you’re helping out this organization to help my brothers and sisters who served.
Hopefully, we can see you on the trails
Great work, and nice bike for an awesome cause. You have a big heart, Seth. We need more people like you.
What an amazing bike build and love that you donated it to such a worthy cause. Your channel is amazing!
Thankl very much Seth . this video has inspired me to build up some bikes i have , give them away and help others . thank you for letting me ride with you today and i cant wait to see you next time
Seth, you a good dude... Thanks for sharing some good energy into the world.. we need more of it right now!!
All the way from Sri Lanka, I have watched all your videos and this donation is just great, sadly I wouldn't be able to even touch something like that EVER. great job and keep posting amazing videos...
I need to say that, that video made me bit happier. My bike got stolen from school today but that video made bit happier thank you so much!! very nice video keep it up
Is this a bot message?
If you have a shovel that you use in the winter. like small compact aluminum one. you can use the handle to put on the Ring at 7:19
Thank you Seth for hooking up that program. I am a veteran myself who retired 2 years ago. I just got back into mountain biking and it has helped a lot.
Thanks so much for your kindness to Military veterans. Those who were badly traumatized certainly should be on our gift list.
I was one of the lucky ones who merely served without taking any hits, just regular working duties of a normal sort. Just the Military life in itself, in peace time, is enough to change you for the rest of your life.
Thanks for your understanding and your support Anza.

Thank you Seth!
Great video as always. Geat place for that bike to go. THANK YOU fot all the veterans out there
