I think this would be better for a road bike with two bottle holders. You really could put a CO2, an inflator, and a tool in here and on a road bike it wouldn't rattle around much. I'll use a gear strap.
Ram Mount amzn.to/2FLjoQ2 We edited so much out of this review, but there was a lot of adjusting and fussing around to get it to stay. We followed the directions, and even tried using that foam pad. It's just not good for trails, but the mount does stay attached to the phone.

The idea seems to be that it keeps the wall from getting scratched, which it does successfully. I suppose if you're in an Airbnb or something and wanted to be careful this could be useful.

The RAM phone hoder comes with a ball mount, made from metal, that locks with the handlebars of the bicycle or a motorcycle. I use it on my bike and my motorbike and is amazing. The manufacturer says that it should hold the phone to up to 250km/h with the extra rubber spider. I took my phone holder on my trail bike and up to 90km/h with my motorbike and it held flawlesly. Those zipties were doomed from first second.
RAM let my phone fly off the bike at 220km/h on my MT07
Wouldnt use it when driving faster than 190km/h
I have a 3D printed quadlock style mount on my CBR and I rode doing 115-170mph for about 15 minutes and it held up.
RAM mounts are the best. I've crashed on a 450lb motorcycle after getting slammed by a pick up truck in the freeway at 60mph, flipped in the air, slid for a decent amount, and the phone stayed on the mount without even budging (and obviously no damage to the phone). I've crashed few more times in both dirt and street and the phone always stays attached.
Has to be flawless though, cause your $900 phone breaks just once and it's useless ... I have it on my Yamaha. It's great.
@@dinosoarskill17 you rode about 35-40 miles going at least 115mph? That's pretty impressive ... No way could I get away with that in NJ ... Not many places you can even do that here without passing 4-5 cop cars ... Where do you ride?

that thing can be used by so many professions . im a chef and i want 3 lol
Dang, that pocket magnet pad costs more than I expected. I would've instantly bought one at $25 or less
I could actually use a couple gripsters and keep them in my SUV. I'm always leaning my bikes up against the car by the handlebars and they always seem to wander and my bike falls. The magnet could keep it in place against the metal vehicle panels!
That magnet blew me away!!! Who knew such a small magnet could hold so much
Thanks Nathan!
Also the fact that it was so bendable was crazy!
Iâd ruin pants for sure with a dirty tool but I love the concept.
Mag-Pad Magnetic Tool Holder very cool little invention. Iâll pick some of them up for sure.
Now make pants out of that material!!
If a car comes within two feet of you you'll be glued to the car lol unless it's carbun fibber.
Walking through a hardware store and those pants be trying to steal everything.
There's supposed to be a rubber thing around the handle-bar on the X-grip!
If it hold my phone on my motorcycle without moving in 200km/h on a naked sportbike, it should work on a bicycle - correctly installed that is!
im guessing youre the person who invented it
Bro a bike Handlebar is just a certain shape..
Mountain Bikes usually have a shrinked Handlebar in the end, which makes them slidy
Dude mtb is WAY rougher thank a sport bike.
There was no rubber pad with the one he had.
@@gooseberryjam1683 he legit mentioned it while unboxing are you kidding me đ€Šââïž
I actually do see a valid application for the gripster. Owning a mountain bike in an apartment means it just hangs out in the living room propped up against the wall. The more I did this I started to realize dirt smudges on the wall. That thing would keep my wall clean and looks better than the rag I throw over the grip currently. đ€·đŸââïžđ
That is actually very fair
The Mag Pad was the best product and probably the only one Iâd buy
James Adventures and Bike Not for 49 dollars. You could put any magnet in your pocket for the same effect.

This is what I like about this guy. Company send their product to review and you don't sugarcoat them. Nice!
The rubber was supposed to go under where the zip ties were on the phone mount. So it wouldnât slip down the bar
Yes, at 2:32 so, he needs to redo this...
I would v.upset if someone trialled my product but missed an entire part out... Sure, we might not read the instructions sometimes... But leaving out a part of the product seems unfair to me.
Also there should be a rubber strap that you pull over the corners of your phone to hold it in place. I had one of these ram mounts on my klr650 and went offroading often, my phone never once fell out. Ram mounts are great...given installed and used right..
Saudade By your logic, every scientist on the planet is a Karen, because they want a fair and consistent test. I guess the name Karen has basically lost it's original meaning now.
Joe Callister id be upset if I bought a phone mount that required me to zip tie around a random rubber strip as the intended mounting method. That's janky diy level product design and not at all what anyone should expect from an off the shelf product from a serious company.
The branding iron works better when it's a light shade or orange because it burns deep and makes it easier to see and you'll get some texture

The magnetic pad is genius. I could use that for everything. From working on motorcycle, to holding bits for carving, holding a few nails or screws when hanging or tacking pictures, building birdhouse etc.
Just looked they are like 50 bucks. No lower priced Chinese knock offs or imitators. If they cut there price in half and were more aggressive with there marketing, everyone would have one.

Seth the Piece of rubber that was included with the ram mount was for extra grip for the zip ties ??

@@kevinshort3943 Magnetic storage? Dude phones use flash storage which is unaffected by magnets.

Thank you for making me look this up.
Flash mem *is* affected by magnetic fields/magnets, but is "resistant" to static magnetic fields.
IE: The damage is done by induced current rather than (de)magatising something that should(n't) be.
