    Apple Airtags work extremely well in the cities! I know lots and lots of people who have gotten their bikes back because they had an airtag attached to it. One guy in Sweden even had his bike stolen and transported to south of Poland.... He got it back because they could track it through apple devices nearby and call the polish cops. That is badass!

      The problem with airtags is that they rarely work for theft recovery since the thief will be notified by apple that he is being tracked via airtag, if he has an iPhone/apple device on him. The reason is because thieves were using and still use airtags to track down potential victims to their houses, and rob them there. Airtags only work for lost objects, and i don’t see anyone losing their bicycle. I guess it could work if the thief doesn’t use an iPhone, or somehow doesn’t notice the loud notification you get if you are being tracked using an airtag.

      Technically spats, and very fashionable in the Victorian era :) They are easy to make with even basic sewing skills, and have patterns available all over the web (presumably how the New York inventor got their pattern.) To be fair, This is the only one I have seen with bra hooks to catch the bottom of the shoe lace. I was contemplating making a set of similar gaiters (maybe mid calf length) so I could secure the bottom of my pants legs when I get a new bike, as I usually wear long pants on trails due to the frequency of which I encounter thorny brush encroaching on the trails, and dislike sucking pants legs into the chain ring.

    RE: kids' seat. My grandpa made something similar for his road bike and back in the day i have been riding with him like that for many years. As he got older and i got bigger he changed gearing to make it easier to pedal, but other than that nothing else needed to be changed. As a kid i really liked it because it was comfortable and i had a great view around. Definitely beats riding on the little cargo rack above rear wheel, not to mention much safer than sitting on the handlebars to ride (had to do that once, ended up bouncing off and faceplanting on the ground after hitting a pothole. Not fun.) And since the whole thing was held on with just two bolts it was easy to remove for going to the grocery store or whatnot where no kids were riding.
    Oh and btw, no idea why the kit in the video had those small handle bars. Holding on to what was already on the bike worked great for us.

    I quite like the Schrader valve idea. I've converted plenty of retro 26" rims to tubeless without any problems but they were always double wall and using 26" tubeless tyres. I feel like you could've given the product a better chance if you used a proper double wall rim and tubeless compatible tyres. And don't cut the valve hole with a knife.

      Didn't the product say, "Make any rim tubeless"? Doesn't a tubeless setup require TUBELESS tires? How about the same test with a tubeless ready tire? BTW, love love the idea of Schraeder tubeless stem. Most Bikes, Car tires, Trailer tires, etc., have Schraeder valves. Presta are pain with my air compressor and other Schreader valve products. Didn't you mean to say that on .00001% of the people use Presta valve stems?

It is so much better than presta valves! I don't see why anyone would prefer prestas over Schraders...(Just had enlarge the hole a little). Note:

      @rodrigormotta Před 2 lety +1

      @@jtfa28 they do! Or get jammed and you end up accidentally removing the core and emptying your tire! The presta valve was made for road wheels that have to be narrow and aerodynamic. • @ManuelMartinez09
      @ManuelMartinez09 Před 2 lety

Combine with a dropper post on my rigid 29er in the city and I am confident to take my kids anywhere with that seat. Jordan's Bike Hacks (for the Shotgun seat): if your top tube is tapered from the head tube to the seat tube like most modern bikes, I have found that no matter how tight I put the seat on it will eventually start sliding back. So took an old tube and cut it into a foot long section, I then wrap it around my top tube right behind the seat, and keep it in place with a Voile strap. This has kept it solidly in place even on steep climbs.
    Then pack your back/waist pack full of as many snacks as you can fit, because nothing ruins a ride like a hangry toddler.
    Also, teach your toddler cool mountain biking slang (gnar, chunk, roost, etc) and teach them to warn hikers that you're coming up behind them. The slang is just fun, and hikers are much more likely to give you a smile instead of an annoyed look when your toddler says "coming up on your left".

    As someone who recently invested in a similar (yet not exactly the same model of) electric bike pump I really like it, especially for people in the city or who park their bike outside. It even works on motorcycles and scooters, and they work well. Car tires might be a little big for best results and could potentially burn out the motor, but honestly being able to leave it for like a minute and a half per tire and have it auto shut off pretty much makes up for the slightly longer inflation time compared to a floor pump.
    Plus it may be kind of a moot point considering the bike specific application, but for someone with specific strength issues that prevent them from using a floor pump they are fairly easy to use.
    A final thought comes from one of your later videos Seth, where you use this pump for your shocks. That’s what I sort of see this as, a replacement to one of those handheld portable pumps that you either use for your shocks, or you carry with you for your rides in case of emergency. It fills that role really well and saves you from a lot of the awkward pain that comes from using a manual pump that size.
