the camera work alone is so awesome to watch. love it!
Glad to have found this chanel , content quality is top notch
I purchased Zero 9 last month. My commute to work is 14.1 miles one way, 28.2 round trip. On a full charged battery, I was able to make the round trip commute. Using speed modes 1&2. Still had 1 bar left on battery.
Dang very impressive
A powerful scooter like the 9 can easily pull 30 miles if driven softly.
I've done the full 25 on my Horizon/Zero 8 in one trip, max speed.
@@AuthenTech Great video, I am 6 ft tall kind of worry about handlebar height.
How tall are you cause it seems you had to hunch down and legs are more bent than what I can sustain for long time?
Thanks !
Have had my Zero 9 for 2 years, and it is a blast. I recently invested in an external battery add-on from Falcompev which doubles the watt hours of the scooter. The batteries are set up in parallel, so the peak voltage is still in the 54+ range. Not only can I easily hit 40 miles of range (in hilly Seattle), but, there is much less voltage sag through the voltage range. So even at 1/2 battery consumed, I am still seeing 50+volts input at full acceleration. I took a brisk 20 mile/32km ride today and still registered 47.9v on both batteries. Both internal and external batteries must be within 1v of each other or you can get yourself into trouble. The controller draws down the voltage equally from both batteries, so no worries there. The external battery comes in a stylish Zero semi-hard bag mounted on the top of the handle bars. I can still fold the handles down when the bag is installed.
7:43 amazing shot with that dragonfly. Great video
That was one of my fav shots too :)
@@AuthenTech DOPE!!!
Never stop this vids man
Much love
Thanks so much, these are fun :)
Loved the insta360 one x shots!! Great video as usual Ben=)
Thanks man
good comparison! The Zero 10X is a monster, insane acceleration, dual motors 1000W, scary fast, real 40-41 m/h, endless torque eating away the tires at liftoff ;)
Hey Ben, really nice review thank you. I really wish that you had taken the time to ride it long enough to go empty so that you could tell us how far it will go on a charge. I'm interested in the nine now that I saw your review but I feel like you haven't finished the review.
Thank I've bend looking for one of those, keep up with good work reviewing and resources best of revising items .
Thanks* been*
Good review!#😊 and very good camera angles..
Thanks a lot for the reviews! I need one for commuting, so grateful for your insights. Wish you had shown us a bit more how to operate them and where the battery is located, charged from.
Such a great video and channel! Because of that I liked the video and subscribed and turned on post notifications!
Great review. Looks like a very good sturdy scooter. Now let’s see the longevity of it 1yr or 2yrs from now.
Will still function the same.?
In the market for an electric scooter and this video has given me a pure perspective on what to go for thanks for the review ...
Cool glad it helped
Great review, what are you using to mount your 360 camera? Love those shots!!
Using the selfie stick with the Insta360, and sometimes their biking waist strap for hands-free
Yay! An actual review. Best scooter review ive watched thus far. I think this scooter is the one!! Thank you
Good job, Ben, Just wandering when you can do the view for our Apsuboard, thanks so much.
Great video thanks for your time.
I am curious about the 8 or 9, the folding lever for deck to handle bars seems like a safety issue as the guy in video hit red pin with is foot and scooter folded, seems like a weak spot or bad design.
i have worried about this myself. did u ever get an answer?
Matthew Vo , your the only one to comment, do you have one?
Great review! 👍
Thank you! I will be visiting their website as soon as I get home!
Very good video Sir, clear explanation, good introduction, nice videos, straight to the point, subscribed.
same. solid.
Great video and review that was full of info and answered all my questions about these scooters. I own a Qiewa scooter I bought off Amazon and it died after a year. Looking for a replacement and I've found it because these scooters have a suspension, great speed, and range. I'd never buy a scooter without those 3 specs and the Booster Scooter is nice and built to last but no suspension.
This video is very good and very helpful. I was planning to get a Zero 10X but I now want to self-limit myself to lower speeds in order to preserve life and limb. This video shows that the Zero 9 has good enough suspension, which was the main feature that I liked on the 10X. I'm still a bit nervous about 8.5" tires, but with the suspension they should be alright at
zero 9 has 9" pneaumatics
Is there an option to purchase the same size and shape/width solid rear tire as the front tire for the Zero 8? Because with the front and rear tires having different width and size, it's impossible to have precise steering. This is very noticeable going downhill and on narrow, twisty bike lanes.
Great review! I love my Zero 8. I hit the 600 mile mark today and I had it for a little over a year.
Very nice! 🤘
I need one for summer. I have a question if zero 8 can go on 8km ride with hills (up and down pretty steep). I need one that has the range to do that
@@wilsonfisk6156 for hills you'll want dual motors and a big battery
Great review and footage!
Wait til you try a 10X (I have a Zero 9 as well)
Definitely install some after market lights for night riding. The built in ones are fine for your visibility to other road users, but nowhere near good enough to see where you are going at the speeds they can do !
I can also say that Falcon PEV is pretty damn great when it comes to customer service. I ordered the 10X on a Thursday night in Australia. The same night they emailed saying there was a wait for the 18Ah model but the 24Ah was in stock. I asked if I could get a discount as I was a repeat customer and they knocked $200 off shipping on the spot. The scoot arrived at my door the following Tuesday! From Singapore. Can't expect much better than THAT! :)
Saving up for the 8x
A really great and detailed video! Thanks for sharing!
Can some of you comment about the inflatable tires vs just fully rubber tires... Have heard it's a pain to change them if you get a flat. Thanks. I'm "this close" to ordering this Zero 9! Am hooked!!!!
What's up with the scooter mountain? Is that strong enough for you to drive up
thanks for using metric system.
5:17 looks like video game
Nice camera footage what camera is u using
Hi I cant make my mind up between the zero 9 or the nanrobot d4+ what are your thoughts I have a couple of long hills near where I live thanks in advance
I was about to buy the ninebot max but your video changed my mind to buy the zero 8. Thank you 😊
Did you bought it?
Hi
Zero 10 or Kaboo Mantis Pro v3 2020 model..
which one would you chose🤞
Have you done a review of the Zero 10x?!?! seriously considering buying one so a review would be great! This was also very informative!
I'm planning on buying my first electric scooter but I'm conflicted on whether to get a Boosted Rev or one of these Zero scooters. I like that these have suspensions but I'm a little concerned with their build quality. I would be using it around the city but I expect bumpy roads to get to my building so stability while riding is really important to me.
Hello sir. Is that model also available on Europe? Thank you
I've had the Zero 8 for two months now and simply love it. I'm convinced that this is the best buy/value/performance e-scooter out on the market today. I've seen another reviewer comparing Zero 8 and Zero 9 and believe it or not, the Zero 8 has the better acceleration and it's also two pounds lighter. And like you, I get top speed of 23 mph and have even reached 24-25 mph on fresh battery and I'm 183 lbs. Trust me, that's plenty fast around busy downtown areas
People want to go fast until they see what happened to some people that do. Then they're like..... I'm good at 15 mph
Very good presentation. Thank you Ben.
So exciting. Thanks Ben for sharing the scooter they're the best
Is it good in the rain?
@@NinerNation81 You could probably seal the deck with waterproofing material.
Does the handlebars slowly move down throughout a ride on the Zero 9 due to road vibrations, weight stress, and gravity like my Zero 8? I found that just using the provided clamp is not enough. It'd be great if these adjustable handlebar height stems have preset holes so this doesn't happen for greater durability and safety
Great content zero 9 ore zero 10 , which one would you recommend
Thank you for starting with the price !
Great job Bro ! Greetings from Paris France.
probably the best review of the Z9 on youtube
What do you use for filming ? from the shadow in some shots lie in 6:35 we can see that it's like a camera attached to a long selfie stick... and then the stick gets removed through image processing ? How did you do that ? Really cool video by the way, great review.
It's a 360° camera
20A and 25A not sure what it means but AFAIK coming from FPV drone world, those values are the max amps that the controller can handle?
Great video, this is perfect for a first time buyer
Great job with video, I really enjoyed it. I think my kids are going to end up with something like the 8 or 9 in a year or too. They are ready for more than the Razor products offer them
Nice one!i have gyroscooter and i have fun of it..keep it up!🙏
Yo this is a very good and informative review! 5/5
Hello,
I want to know if it is not dangerous to ride the scooter with the trolley system on it ?
Which ruroc helmet is being used in this vid?
Would you recommand getting it if I live on a fourth floor without an elevator? I'm looking for some light scooters just to get to work with and this at the very least looks light but I'm not sure if it's enough, almost all the other lighter scooters alternatives have very low ish power
It'd be good exercise 😂
Can I ask how u film behind or front of u when u riding the scooter in this video
Great video. I ordered mine last week, having to wait until July in UK to get this though.
Have fun!
I can't afford none of them, but it's fun seeing you enjoy them
I can afford only zero 8
Must suck to be broke
Well done and great input on features.
Thanks
Great camera work! What camera used?
Links up in bio ☝️
are really nice both of this scoters but the question is if the motor is brushless or not?
Which would be the best bet, Zero 9 or the kugoo G2 Pro?
Do you need to inflate the tire or is it easy to replace the tire
Wow what a quality review! But just bought my xiaomi :( are u still using this? I want this one so bad too... too broke now haha
Great review. Good job!
Thanks!
In your opinion, is the Zero 10 worth the extra $300-$400 over the Zero 9? I’m 6 foot 205 and will do commuting no further than 8 miles round trip.
I live in Bucharest and there are surprises on the road that cannot be avoided if going on the main roads. What scooter can handle 4-5cm unexpected borders?
I love this review! Buying my zero9!!
Did you get it? How is so far im trying to get one
Hi there, thanks very much for the review. Might soknd weird but I read somewhere that these scooters feature usb charging port on their LCD screen. Can you please confirm if this is true, especially for the Zero 9 or 10? Thanks a lot 😄
There is a USB behind every scooter with the Q-SS controller. It's standard to all Zero models.
@@WGHpanic thank you, I found it in the meantime. I checked also the output, it is barely 100-150 mA
@@markczere2375 The more you know ;)
Just got a Zero 9. Any recommendations? Accessories? Thanks! Great review.
if u hit the red pin while riding will the scooter just fold? is there no safety pin or anything? seems like a huge safety issue...
@@matthewvo8492 no safety pin. I've never hit it after 200 miles of riding. 🤞
travelnguy2002 thanks my dude. Do u have troubles folding it down? Might be cuz I ride in rain constantly lol
Great throw review !!! I'd like to see more competitive scooters. Still not alerting enough to take me away from my onewheel but could be a good suggestion to someone who doesn't have the dexterity to ride a one-wheel !
If you could test ride one, like the ZERO 9 or 10, I bet it might steal you away from your slow onewheel ;-)
@@AuthenTech hahah maybe but 20 miles an hour is very achievable on the one wheel. ;) The reason I keep gravitating back to it is cuz the hands-free aspect / size it's much more manageable easy to throw in a shopping cart or slide under a desk!
I bought the Segway NINEBOT max scooter but going to return it. Having a hard time to keep my balance and is a bit too advanced. Plus i have a hard time keeping my legs still when riding. Is this brand good for beginners??
Any scooter with handle bars wider than the Max's will be better for beginners
Ooh and one more thing speed matter to me thank again for info. Keep up with good work😎👌
*thanks*
Excellent review but you didn't mention the weight of each, which is useful to know if you are considering to take it on a bus or subway or carrying up stairs.
How much time does it takes to fully charge zero 8
Hi there, can I please get your opinion on this.. I saw another review that said the zero 8 has more torque and gets off the line quicker than the zero 9.. is this true?? I just ordered the zero 9 tonight and then I saw that.. I like speed so should I cancel my order and order the zero 8?? Thank you.. Bobby
I'd contact their support for that question
I've had the zero 8 for three months now and I believe the zero 8 is the best scooter in terms of price/performance/weight. I'm 182 lbs and I go 23-24 mph top speed, even reached 26 mph going downhill. This is more than enough speed in my busy downtown Chicago area. Surprisingly, I've also seen many reviewers say that the zero 8 has faster acceleration than the zero 9.
Great to hear! It's a fantastic scooter
Could you please tell me the range in miles you achieved with this please
Well presented and thorough
Thanks Michael
thanks for the amazing review Ben! Do you have any recommended accessories for the Zero 9? And if so, could you provide links for suppliers in the US for these accessories?
A few must haves imo. 1. headlight 2. Phone mount. 3. Bell or horn
zero 8x (not zero 8) available in US?
"I've never hit empty"
then you haven't finished the review.
Great video, but how are you filming it without any visible connection between you and your camera. There’s a shadow showing some kind of selfie stick, is that automatically edited out of the video then? Just like the Mars Rover photos taken on Mars, no visible connection to the camera taking the photo. How’s it done?
It's accomplished with this magic! :) czcams.com/video/nx_oLCzh1mM/video.html
Wow that's weird the multi tool it came with is part of the sahoo bike tube repair kit
Great video!
I can't get my hands on the 8 or 9 at the moment but I can get a decent price on the 8x.
Do you have any advice or info that might help me ?
The 8x looks cool, but I haven't gotten to try yet
@@AuthenTech I purchased it and its amazing.
@@jdeebz303 will the scooter fold while riding if u hit the red pin accidentally?
@@matthewvo8492 no red pin on the 8x mate.
It has a clamp system but its pretty annoying if im honest.
I have done 550km on my 8x though and i love it.
@@jdeebz303 how bout on the 9? just
bought one waiting for it to arrive, hope its not an issue
Is this available all around europe. Im from malta. How can i bring this one to airport and plane
Great Vid mate. I will give you a sub and see what else you have on your channel.
Thanks
is there a scooterboard version of the 9? that would be perfect
Could you review the wowgo 2s?
hey bro. i having problem on the lcd screen when daylight i barely see the screen.
Hi Ben
Any electric scooter in England
I want to buy one in uk
Good video
You know about scooter
Respeito your job and video
Great video! I just got one quick question on the Zero 8 scooter, on falcon pev you can choose between 2 types of batteries, so one is 10.4AH (35KM) and 13AH (45KM). Which one did you use in the video?
I have a Zero8, 48V 16Ah
Thanks for sharings your idea Best electric scooter ever
Thanks!
So should I get the ninebot max or the 9?
What about rain? IP rating?
Excellent job
Best all around Scooters !! 🛴💨💨
Not anymore look at the boosted rev its coming out soon
Like these but I’m a little gravity enhanced so I went with a Dualtron Thunder it can handle my weight better. Do like that 9 though
I have a m365. I preordered the mercane widewheel, cancelled it for a boosted rev. Cancelled the boosted rev, and now looking at the zero 9. I just cant make my mind up!!!
Zero 9 is beast mate. Worth it!
@@lordPix3lUK It is also very unsafe. The stem has no reinforcement in the base, hit the right bump and you have 2 scooters.
Hahaha the story looks like mine. I was about to get the Ninebot g30 max, cancelled the order and thought of KUGOO g max... hold off buying it as I found this Z8. I’m so confused
Xxrouphco
Are the tyres inflatable or solid?
Would the zero 8 be a good one for a 5'0 12 year old plead answer cause I'm buying my first ever electric scooter in 3 weeks
Sure! It'll be fast
