By far the best electric scooter reviews channel on youtube. Keep up the good work.
I took a long time and test rode a lot of scoters, I have finally bought the Zero 9. It's only after a day of riding (got 30km on one charge) that I fully appreciate the qualities of this scooter. Apart from the stats, the Zero 9 just feels incredibly solid and safe to ride. At 30kph and even at 40kph, there is no wobble and the suspension is superb, making this scooter feel "planted" at any speed. The brakes are simply amazing, a feature that I think is overlooked too often, until a car cuts you off and you have to break within 4 meters, if you don't you hit the car! Lastly I thought deck size was not important, well after riding for a while I realise that I like to move my feet around a bit because it gets uncomfortable to stay in the same position for more than 30 min, I learned that a big deck size is actually great
Hey 👋 👍
Thanks for the review, Is yours the 10.ah or 13.ah ?
Also can you get more out of the 30klm range ?
thanks
I wonder what your review of Zero9 after a year of using it:)
Loving your reviews Chuck. Great job covering the practical things we want to know. It's so hard to decide what is the perfect scooter for oneself. Keep up the great work. Background music is great, not so loud and annoying like some other reviewers.
Please NEVER change. Continue excellent and Objective scooter knowledge and teaching!!! Thank you so!!
Nice review Chuck!
Love the added details on Weight Limit (example!), drop test, and trunk test! Really thorough review and high production valeu/quality!
wow! i just love your reviews! so thorough & concise for the vast info you share! amazing!!
Sweeeet review. Very good to see in depth focused reviews on scooters thank you.
Just bought one based on this review ... as you mention it ticks all the boxes for its cost and weight, thank you for an informative opinion. 40 yr old loving the zero 9 like a kid again :-)
Nice Chuck and TEAM!
I see the TRUNK TEST! Thanks, from all of us weekend warriors that want to throw it in the trunk and take it to the TRAILS! (or wherever! ) Thanks again!
I am new to the scooter world. I am looking to pick something up due to where I live, everything is close but a distance away(1-5 miles there and back). Your channel is awesome! I still do not know which scooter is for me but these reviews are sure narrowing the decision process! Thx bro!!! Keep up the excellent reviews!
Upgraded to zero 9 from a xiaomi pro.... still portable and rip past those xiaomi's at the lights...feels much safer too, great review, thanks.
Just bout my Zero 9. And the rep that you filmed for customer service sold me mine!!
Hello first congratulate you on the good videos you have, on the other hand I need your advice since I have to decide between the Zero 9 and the Dualtron Mini. Could you tell me which one you think is best considering quality, speed, autonomy, driving, shock absorbers, brakes, foot room.
Thanks
Watched your video, you finished to convince me to buy this one over so many other choices. Used the link too so hope you get something out of it too! Cheers.
Best value for money scooter to me, I just bought one and its so grunty. My first scooter and I love it. My only concern was the lack of water resistant rating but after reading up on what users said that seems like nonissue.
Hey mate, great review - One suggestion RE handlebar wobble, have you tried standard plumbing thread tape ? Its like $1 from the hardware store and should sort that out ! Cheers from Melbourne, Australia.
Saw this review a few days ago and did some research. Purchased my own Zero 9 today. Love it!
Chyurri what where your runner ups?
@@Silver_Geal was shopping between this and ninebot max. I have the original m365 and I love it. Suspension is night and day difference.
Terrific review. Thanks for the info.
Great video and review, thank-you!
Any chance you could do a comparison with the Speedway Leger? I'm torn between these two with very similar price here in Australia.
Great review! Quick question - I have a 27 degree hill on my commute - do you think the Zero9 could handle it? Alternatively, I like the look and power of the Widewheel Pro, but I also have a long flight of stairs so am concerned about the added +14lbs.
I am from Hong Kong and looking to buy a scooter
this video is really helpful, thank you
Nice to see the new zero tires fitted... they look more solid...
The pram tires fitted on earlier version of the 9 are VERY prone to flats, especially at the rear, so can’t wait to fit the new zeros on... and they look good too 👍🏼 keep it up....⚡️🛴
I watch your review videos even after my purchase! 🤣 There really good. 👍
I bought the Zero 9. This review was very comprehensive and on point.
Great video. How does this compare to the fluid that you reviewed?
Great job on this video. Just ordered my Zero 9. Thanks for the promo code!
Are you happy with the zero 9...struggling on making a decision between this and skywalker 10s. Thanks
How's the Scooter going for you?
Avid cyclist, new to micro mobility. Your vids, are extremely informative & to the point. I will receive my zero 9 in 6 to 8 weeks from Rev Rides. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
Welcome to the e scooter club! You can join the Facebook group electric scooter guide group. If any issues with your scooter arise, lots of willing people would help. Goodluck 👍
Great video, I agree with every word said. What is your opinion on scooter that could replace Zero 9 as an upgrade for someone who wants a little more? Is Zero 10 a big improvement?
Bought the 9 and then had a flat and tried to buy the 8.5” x 2” off Amazon, but none of the tubes were the right size or had the 45 degree valve stem. Amazon had a zero9 replacement they were asking $38 and I ended buying the last one on eBay for $18. Although this is a nice scooter, you have to look at being able to find tubes or replace it with a solid tire.
Hi guys. Loving the video's. I have ordered a Zero 9e. I notice you ride yours through a large puddle. Are confident its water resistant in case one gets caught short in the rain? Not holding you to it, but just to get your thoughts? Cheers
Great Video Mate,Love it 👌
Thx!
Watching these zero 9 videos until I get mine :] thanks for the awesome informative review! Glad you made it
There might be already this question asked, but I'd like to see the review, when possible, of the Aerlang H6 v2 (chinese model), please. That would be great! Cheers from Portugal and congrats on the great channel content.
Any recommendations for scooter performance in four seasons cities, the weather in CA is lovely all year long
Have you tested the in motion L9? .... I"m interested in either of these ... maybe a comparison would be great
super thorough!! - first time ever i had zero questions after a scooter review ! only prob for the ZERO9 is I’m used to tires that can never go flat from my EtwoWOW -so Mercane Wide is still my no1 choice for next upgrade -but this one is right behind- glad they do a custom thumb throttle too!!
Thanks Idrissa - we aim to please. I think you can get solid or honeycomb tires installed on the 9 if that is what you want.
Don't worry about flat tires as Zero 9 wheels are made by 3 parts and can be easily folded to make replacement easy. Big improvement vs Xiaomi's one-piece wheel which are pain in the ass.
Make sure you have the recomended psi inflated into the tire all the time. Running them low on air will get you a flat tire every corner.
We want Nanrobot d4 and d5 videos. I got my nanrobot d5 becuse of your videos, and that thing is a beast!
I'd love to see you review Apollo Scooters Zero 9 variant!
I cancelled my apollo city order and 13 days later I still haven't received my refund. At least zero 9 is in the US. Having to go through BofA to get my money back. They never replied to me, never got an invoice, never got my refund.
APOLLO CITY IS BETTER, I HAVE BOTH !!!
@@noformstyle Can you give us some reasons why you like the Apollo City better?
@@amanwithoutaname4535 Check the reviews, better build version.
This scooter is also perfect for me. It has everything that I want in a scooter. This is my dream scooter. Thank you for this very detailed video. 👍
Thanks for the kind words! -Vosk
Great review 👍
Cheers
Thanks Patrick!
Thanks for review. As it happened I ordered one couple of weeks ago and should be with me before end of month.
Boom! Let us know how you like it. Why did you end up going with this model over others?
Hows the zero 9 holding up...stuck on buying this or skywalker 10s? Thanks
@@benpitchford2987 Hi with the lockdown at present I have not used it for almost 3 weeks. Though if the skywalker has LG batteries I would go with that.
@@esrider7765 thanks, now I'm looking at better model like kaabo mantis but doesnt have LG battery on base model...for joy riding I'm thinking it will do. Enjoy your zero 9! Great looking scooter
@@benpitchford2987 The zero 9 does have option for LG batteries, though it costs a bit more and not all places offer this option.
Thanks for the review. Think this is the one.
Hi quick question, how does the scooter test in the waterproof department, because a $1200 scooter is useless if you get a short circuit or rust rust in the rain, or just doesn’t work if you leave it outside in rainy or foggy weather
Would you recommend the Zero 9 over the Mercane Widewheel Pro?
Just wondering, you have Zero 8, 8X, 9, 10x reviews but no Zero 10 review. Hopefully you do a review on that one too.
great review... how much do you weigh however?
Looking to upgrade from a Glion Dolly 225 model. This looks like a really nice upgrade! I know that I can buy dolly wheels that attach to the front of the scooter. That is nice, however it won't stand upright. I am wondering if the scooter could stand upright if the stem wasn't fully collapsed. One of the features of the Glion Dolly that I like is that I can ride public transportation and have it stand up so that nobody trips over it. If not could there be a workaround? Thanks in advance!!!
Can you review the HIBOY max?
I am still confused what the difference is between the zero 9 and turbo wheel dart? Can someone help elaborate and which one to go with?
Great Review. Handle Bar Wobble is a " Deal Breaker " for me. I'm still doing more Research. Torn between Zero 9 vs.Turbo Wheel Swift ???
What did you end up getting TW Swift got discontinued?
First of all I really like your review videos on the zero 9, keep up the great work! Your review made me decide on purchasing the 9. I just bought a zero 9 a couple of weeks ago. I have an issue/question.... Do you hear a light "popping" sound when you brake(both front or back), it's not the brakes themselves that make the sound. I think it's the motor(regeneration braking). If you go to settings on P11 and adjust the level to 2 or higher the popping sound occurs. When I set it to 0, the sound is gone. I was wondering if it's just my scooter or if its normal for all zero 9's. Hopefully you or someone that reads this comment can answer this for me. Thanks you!
Its normal that's the regen break
can you please do a review of kaabo mantis scooter? thanks!
Question which scooter should i buy i weigh 150lbs i need to commute 6mile to work lots of uphill and downhill. Please i need some advice.
Great review Chuck. Just wanted to mention I'm pretty sure its the lightest weight scooter that has dual pneumatic tires and both front and rear suspension.
Inadequate front suspension, but yes.
Yes, good call -- not many scooters at this weight have all the features of the Zero 9 -- which is why, for this weight -- it really crushes everything else.
I’m interested in the Joyor F5S scooter but I can’t find anything about them on your website, would someone be able to provide me a link to anything on them ?
Do you know why all of a sudden my rear tire is shooting up water when riding on wet ground? I've had the zero 8 for months and never had this issue. My leg gets soaked within seconds.
Hey man thanks a million for putting these videos out there. It's a huge help! I have a big question. Price around 1000 give or take, I'm looking for a scooter with 20 miles of range, foldable, and SOLID tires with a suspension. These air filled tires just keep popping in New Orleans cause our roads are terrible. What would you recommend? This Zero 9 looks awesome but then it has air filled tires and I'm done changing scooter tubes. Thanks in advance for the help!
Put some Armor Dilloz on the tires, military grade sealant check them on CZcams, a lot better than slime. Goodluck!
Thanks for the review. If weight and the price difference weren't an issue, do you have a preference between the Rev and Zero 9? Interested in things like ride and build quality.
Contrary to popular opinion, I like the Rev - it has it's use case just like every scooter. No doubt the Zero 9 is more comfortable and for daily use it would be my choice since I ride at night and don't need the insane speed of the Rev. We have a Rev review here to get more details. electric-scooter.guide/reviews/boosted-rev-review/
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks for the reply.
Wide wheel pro or zero 9 ? I like the widewheel but I read they are not very good electronical wise
A legend is made here!
The wobble in one of the handlebars ... Do you mean when you fold it a lot of times to improve portability?
i have the same but without mods just some changes in p-settings it goes 64km/h not standing on it....?
How much speed do you lose after that 10 mile power conserve kicks in?
Curious to see the optional handle and trolley wheels for Z9 (and Z8/ Z10) in action as part of a review.
bkanegson the trolleys suck , I had them on my 9 and I took them off after a week
can you test out the new hero s8? please
Thank you ESG
Your review is helpful.
I was hesitant getting another Mercane Pro (bought last year, was only good at start became flimsy after 4 months of use, now its dangerous above 20mph - had to invest above $300 to fix it up for this season) the 2020 has a lot of improvements but..
I've noticed the ZERO-9 (Evolv Tour - why is there so many overlapping brand, Turbo Wheel, Zero, Evolv, Mantis, etc?) and I agree with your review but was wondering about long term.. Does the product age well? or should I expect to become flimsy like my Mercane?
Thank you and keep up the great work =)
Great review, does the scooter have an app? Also, is there any theft deterrent for the scooter?
If you want to keep your scooter safe from theft, get yourself a solid U-lock, check this one out: www.amazon.com/dp/B06XN5GV9K/?ref=exp_electricscooterguide_dp_vv_d
Great content thank you. DO You sell demo scooters thanks in advance.
Sorry Glenn, we don't even own these scooters so we can't really sell them. We are given them to do reviews. Where do you live - maybe there is a store close by for you to try some out?
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I live in Sacramento. I heard there was a voro motors shop somewhere, but I can't find it.
Visit Last Mile or Minimotors!
I can’t decide, 9 or 8x, I think 9 because I don’t want anything too heavy, but I like the suspension, breaks, solid tires and power of the 8x
Had bought one with 220 km drove to about 380 km. Front brakes completely exhausted is this normal?
what do you think of ninebot g30ld?
How do you get rid of the handlebar wobble?
Please do a review of the joyor f3
Please review the Apollo version of this scooter (City) -- it's much cheaper and built with higher quality materials to North American standards rather than the Zero which is for the Chinese market and thus has a 2 year warranty as opposed to a few months.
Have you reviewed the Kaabo Skywalker 10h and how does this compare?
Hi Jeremy, we have only reviewed the 10S and overall we like it. czcams.com/video/RV49eJqocu4/video.html
Hi. Do you offer a service to consult with me to decide which is best for me if I don't want to do the research?
please do a video of the most powerful under 30 pound scooters. I have the Booster V with 10 AH battery. it's checks the four boxes of build quality, low weight, range and power. I'd like to see if someone else is giving the Booster V and GT some competition.
The reason weight is important for me is because I have to lift it a great deal. Even in the office building I work in we are not allowed to roll the scooter on the marble floors..we must carry the scooter which is too long a walk for a 40 pound scooter.
I read that one poster on a different video stated that his Zero 9 collapsed in mid ride as the aluminum screws that connect the stalk to the deck stripped out. Any issues with this scenario to your knowledge? Thanks.
I have the Z9 2020 model, they changed the stem and folding mechanism. I don't know if this better than the previous but I can't see any bolts on both sides of the stem.
Love my Zero9 , I’ve owned the Glion and NanRobot but the Zero9 runs circles around them. Its perfect for me also. The weight is the heaviest I could manage on Bart here in the Bay
The only con I have is the handlebars are constantly coming loose , it’s a pain to have to keep tightening them back up
I used plumbers tape on mine...helps some but I give them a twist now and then anyway...
After using plumbers tape, can you still fold/unfold the handlebars?
Electric Scooter Guide I rarely unfold them so maybe I’ll try it also
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide yes
@@WendelltheSongwriter thanks for the tip -- we'll try this out.
The clamp for the handle bar is not strong enough the bar still slides down during heavy breaking or going onto a curb. Battery drops fully on hills. I get 15 miles out of mine every week before its on its last bar. Portability is poor since I cannot take it on the train or any more than 10 yards before it drains your arm. However its nice to see these hold value.
Handle bar wobble is a downside for me. Is the stem good quality?
I wish a few designer high vis-vests that are better ventilated were available.
Too many of us rely on lights but wear dark clothes.
My wife needs a scooter. What’s the best scooter for around 600 to 700$ that can do around 25 mph and has more than 350watts?
Is a hundred twenty volt Plug-In good enough for charging it
Great review. I love my Zero 9. 500 km so far and it's perfect.
Could you please share with us a link to the video for the thumb throttle installation procedure mentioned by rev rides please....
Stuck on buying this or skywalker 10s? Hows your zero 9 holding up? Thanks
9:12 The cars are stopping because they think you're a police scooter.
Fuk yea
I love mine (I have the Dart), but would really like a tougher front wheel, suspension etc.
Thanks for the feedback. What are you thinking of in terms of the front wheel?
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide just beefier...brake is fine, but a better shock, more clearance between tire and fender, larger wheels overall...I know I know, sounds like I'm bitching...I'm not....just saying next one will be a little tougher...thank you!
@@WendelltheSongwriter Zero ten sounds like the right scooter for u m8
I am looking at multiple scooters like the splach twin, kaabo mantis 10 eco800 and vsett8/8+ and now adding the zero 9 to the list
All are great options! Look at Apollo city 22 it seems like a solid upgrade!
Does anyone know what park this is shot at ?
I have the 10x but want this too
I read several reviews on the website you said to buy these that there have been severe problems with the scooter unlocking while driving. One guy broke his thumb. Apparently the locking pin has serious problems. I will pass on this. Surprised you did not mention this as well as the seat option.
I can't decide whether I want one for pleasure or actual commuting. I would Def like the dualtron thunder for riding around town for lengths of time but wouldn't want to leave it anywhere due to its price. This Zero 9 would be great for comutting but I know I'd be itching for more power especially when going up hills and bridges.
These videos are extremely helpful! Thank you and subbed! 👍
Jess A. I got same indecisive issues right now between price as my first scooter, and power, as I’d like something decent for now that can do at least 20mph for $1000, but there’s the Kaabo Skywalker 10s that goes for $1150 only, and comes with a 1200watt motor and peaks at 35mph and has a horn and side lighting which comes in red only! But for the price, it has all the side features which others don’t! So you should look into that
@@vladimator1842 thanks for your recommendation! I'll def look into it.
Same here...cant decide if I'm going to buy the zero 9 or skywalker 10s...did you make a decision ye!
@@benpitchford2987 not really. I'm looking at going to a place to test drive the thunder and eagle and some others. I'm trying hard not to end up with buyers remorse, lol. Good luck with your choice!
@@vladimator1842 I'm in same boat...was thinking kaabo mantis or zero 10x but wanted LG battery not chinese base battery. Now looking at apollo pro w nice specs but still leaning towards mantis...🤔
When Changing Zero 9 does light on Charger turn back to Green when fully charged it's Red when it's charging I wanna know how long too charge it pls
This is a very very old video!
What’s your opinion on the speedway Leger from Minimotors in comparison to the Zero 9? It’s seems they are very similar in terms of weight speed range...
I have not tested the Leger, but based on stats I would prefer the dual pneumatic and dual brakes of the Zero 9.
Electric Scooter Guide the ledger also has dual pneumatic but only rear brake not front
Great review, however, for 1099 dollars, I prefer my Kaboo Mantis twin 500 watt scooter. Better performance and the extra 10 pounds is okay for me. I live in San Francisco apartment 2nd floor and the carry is ok. Just my humble opinion and again great video. Always informative.
KM8 looks great except ZERO POST SALE SUPPORT !
REDDIT
Does it have a seat option? I don't see one
I ordered my Rev Zero 9 on April 14th. I was pleased it was available since other models on Rev’s website were sold out like the Zero 8 and 8X.. Two days later and no shipping number yet, I contacted them. Emily, their shipping manager responded.
“We are expecting our shipment to come in by the end of May/beginning of June. We ship the orders out in the order it was received. Hope this answers your questions. Have a great weekend!”
This infuriates me. I was expecting it to take longer than a typical Amazon order, but not this. She’s basically saying “Come late May/early June, we’ll tell you what the wait time is...” The “Have a nice weekend” on the end there made me more annoyed. You just disappointed the hell out of me. Don’t pat me on the head and tell me to have a nice weekend! I feel like a Raine One customer right now! Nothing but question marks!
i saw sumone in nyc im like woah those bright lights im like hmm let me research it
Would anyone out there do a 15 km(9 mile) commute on a scooter?
