Great to see a review form a long time user who has had real lie experience of the Zero 8 ! . Your review has definitely has convinced me to get a Zero 8 for my 6km daily commute back and forth from work. I've always felt a bit guilty firing up the petrol car for such a short trip .By converting to an electric means of transport is my way of doing my bit for our planet :)
@@camn7542 No problems with the 6Km commute back and forth from work, but as I get to go home for lunch each day, it's actually only a 1.5km trip (X 4) at any one time. Best thing for me, is that I can "park" my Zero* in-store at work, and come my lunch time, no blazing hot car awaits me in the car park. Australian summers can make the inside of a car parked in the sun, feel like an oven hot enough to cook a roast dinner in! . Since having my Zero8 , that's no longer a concern for me. It's also actually quicker now to get from home to work and work to home, then taking my car back and forth. So for me, the Zero8 is a perfect solution for my daily work commute. :-)
Thank you so much for this review, I was looking to buy it from a second hand. Very nice scooter, good looking and it's the best price to quality choice...
Note to all zero 8 owners. I just found this out. I thought 5 was Max power. P12 setting goes: 1 - ludicrous mode instant acceleration 2 - gentle acceleration 3 - moderate acceleration 4 - zippy acceleration 5 - insane mode (with lag)
How many flat did you get, also after 1200km what's the condition of the rear tyre, and what's the range now compared to when it was brand new. My horizon which is same as this, I have done 140km so far. Thanks
Have you noticed when you turn on the power your voltage increase by .9 on the meter. now i wonder if this was a defect or an update feature 2:01 sec check it. and try for your self
I'm a little disappointed by the Zero 8 after 800km. The deck is really fragile as mine is bent a little bit. I'm so afraid of using it now ... So I'm waiting for a repair and I'm thinking how to make it more resistant.
I bought a Zero 8. At first when I charged it the voltage was 56.0v giving me a top speed of 40km/hr, but after 300km the voltage don't go over 52v so the top speed is now 36km/hr is that normal?? I'm worried because the life time of the battery seems to be decreasing very fast.
That slack you speak of at 4:56 has been annoying the shit out of me and I can’t figure out how to remedy the issue. Anyone with similar experience figure it out?
You need to play with the 3 screws at the bottom of the locking system. I have never managed to make it very solid, I then moved to the zero 10 which does not have that problem, or at least much less
Yes I did, I prefer the zero 10. It is only slightly heavier but it has much more power (1000w vs 600w), more range and double disk brake instead of disk and drum 😊
Got it, sold it. Awesome machine, but too heavy for my commute as i need to lift onto tubes. Locking/folding mechanism not as good as the 8. Power - faster on the roads than most London traffic, and having ridden motorcycles in London for over a decade, I’d class the 10 closer to a motorcycle in terms of power and speed around town. This also then notches it up a few danger levels too. Hope this helps!
Btw only covered 120km on it (the 10) so brief. I tried quite a few, and I’ve now clocked about 2000km on the Zoom Stryder Ex - and that’s my favourite out of all of them. Fast enough (bit faster than standard models) - amazing suspension, Uber durable) Can also jump up and down kerbs easily on this one after practice popping the suspension.

How have you found it for comfort for the 6km trip? Especially with the solid rear tire?

I have the Zero9 and it’s amazing. Top speed for me is 50kmph. It has dual brakes , dual suspension and 600w motor. It’s great
Yes it is!
I'm guessing you ride it on the road and not on pedestrian walkways right?
Cause going that fast would be illegal on pavements.

Bella recensione ho un zero8 no brand e a parte i difetti che hai rilevato sono molto soddisfatto!
No wubbling sir ?
Cant wait for a proper review on 8X.

so mode 1 is faster than 5 ?
@@aragorn318 more torque. The most noticeable effect is the instant response.
@@PhilipChristian Yes, thanks. Much more responsive with less lag indeed.
So 1 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 2?

PepereWorld how much do you weigh?
I am 75kg and the deck was totally fine after many km :) for people above 90km I would suggest zero 9 or 10
How do you turn lights on? I cant find switch for lighta

It's not, battery might be faulty
My brand new Zero 8 has only ever had a top speed of 38km (here in Australia)
So far only have 250kms on the clock.
It shows 54.8V when fully charged.
Cheap battery which isn't an LG! THAT'S WHY.
Wow, that's a lot of km's. I'm surprised that you didn't replace the tires
Yes I know! 😊 No never, they are still in good condition, I reckon they will have to be changed when reaching 2000km

Thanks for the video! I was wondering, do the handlebars have holes in the side which you could attach a bike mirror into? Thanks again.
Yes you can
I thought the zero scooters where not meant 2 b used in the rain / snow since they dont have an ip grading..
Would you rather the zero 8 or wide wheel pro?
How did you ménage to get more solid and fix that losing part ?
Is there a manual available that describes the different icons on the speedometer?
Yes you can find it online
Can you ride in the rain or do you need to stay away from it?
Small Rain

Same here, moving the three screws at the bottom make it less shaky but not definitely

On the zero 8 yes
Hei bro. Is possible to change speed? Example 50Km/h?
No
Which one is better? Zero 8 or ninebot max?
I want to know aswell!
Have you tried the zero 9 ? Would love to know your views which one you suggest with it's features and price difference.

is this electric scooter water resistant??

Did you ever have any problems with the law because of driving an e-scooter in London?
Tell us something about the 10 model :)
