If Republicans ousted MJ, the razor-thin margin actually makes it possible for Hakeem Jeffries to win the speakership. It would only take a couple of absences or votes of “present” for the democrats to win the speakership. That would be weird and historic.

I don’t agree with much on the republican side, but I DO appreciate that Mike Johnson is trying to really govern. He is willing to compromise in spite of whether or not it causes him his next election.
