I think the Bryan squash was equally about sabotaging Bryan if not moreso. Vince resented the fact that people loved the guy he didn't want them to love. So since he's incredibly insecure and can't stand to be wrong he took out his anger on Bryan and thought "I'll make these people lose faith in him so then I can say I told you so." It was "You like this guy? Fuck you! You like who I say you like! I'm going to show you idiots for not doing what I tell you to do!" And to Bryan it was "You shouldn't be over. You remind me of my failure. I'll punish you for that."
+Hezekiah Ramirez And boy did it backfire on him, people loved Bryan even more to the point where Vince had to change the Main Event of 30 with him in it.
+Edward Underhill And I think Vince was so pissed off about having to change the main event of his baby Wrestlemania 30 he said 'fuck it I'm going to piss these fans off another way' and ta-da! Undertaker streak ended. That became the talking point of WM 30, not Bryan winning.

Yeah, maybe on a sub conscious level? Like he didn't actually say it out loud or anything. Vince really doesn't seem to like the fanbase at all anymore.
j-dub productions I don't know whether it's arrogance or just old age, but yeah I get that feeling that he doesn't, plus he doesn't seem to like NXT from what I have read.
This Mania was full of bullshit taglines. "End of an era," "once in a lifetime" lol
I don't get why it matters where the match comes on the card. They could have still have built Mania around Cena and the Rock but closed the show with Punk and Jericho. It wouldn't have effected the numbers at that point. I do agree though that it made sense for Cena/Rock to go on last. I just wish they'd left it at a one off match.

Redfield 100% Dave is actually an incredible writer and journalist and you can tell he gets tangled up in his thoughts on interviews. It can get a little distracting but he's the man.
For the second year they had that match (2013 wm29) dave you are mistaken. I believe CM Punk Vs Undertaker for the title would have been a bigger draw. Mania that year would have fallen on Punks 500th day as champion. Streak vs Streak. Would have been amazing.
