You should look into that quote because it doesn't mean what you think it means. It was in reference to a tax dispute between the Pennsylvania General Assembly and the Penn family, the proprietary family of the Pennsylvania colony who ruled it from afar. The legislature was trying to tax the Penn family lands to pay for frontier defense during the French and Indian War. And the Penn family kept instructing the governor to veto. Franklin felt that this was a great affront to the ability of the legislature to govern. He actually meant purchase a little temporary safety very literally. The Penn family was trying to give a lump sum of money in exchange for the General Assembly's acknowledging that it did not have the authority to tax it.

Know the law. Know where the line between public and private property is before you arrive, GIS maps that are usually available on a county's web sight will provide maps that show where those lines are. If the police detain you immediately ask if you have committed a misdemeanor or felony crime and if they tell you that you have not committed a crime thank them for admitting they do not have a lawful reason to detain and interrogate you. If they persist, insist that they cite the law you have violated and tell them you are not going to assist them with their investigation against you. The average cop will be more interested in keeping a business and its employees happy rather than enforcing the law because they pay more in taxes than the average Joe on the street.

The idiot cop who showed up cuffed the guy and put him in a police car. A white chick recorded the entire event and submitted the images to social media. The black guy turned out to be a Wall Street Journal Journalist. The cops crapped themselves and immediately let him go. Chase Bank stated they never called the police. The journalist called the police department to determine what happened to his complaint. A sergeant told him that the issue was resolved and that the officer acted appropriately. After the story got out and the police leadership and mayor stated the investigation was NOT closed. A few months later the police release a statement saying that the officer, Officer Zimmerman, was reprimanded for violating policy. They never mentioned why the sergeant told the journalisms that the investigation was closed. Chase Bank will never learn!

That police officer deserves a promotion for the example he set in that call he had to respond to. In all the videos I have seen he is the first coo to be that chill and that conscious of the law and the oath he took!

@@iwontreplybacklol7481 yeah I know. But it seems a theme of this channel is that people don't have a right to not be offended by your freedom of expression. Would argue nudity could be an example of that

@@protectedmethod9724 if they are that offended they are being recorded, why are they not offended their company films them? Why are they not complaining in the grocery store, department store and everywhere else that has cameras everywhere? Why are they not bitching at the government officials incessantly for cameras everywhere in cities? Its not like this is the ONLY time in their life they are being recorded.
