This movie reminds me of the disastrous real life drug trial that took place in a London hospital back in April 2006. The drug known as TGN1412 was developed to potentially treat leukemia and autoimmune disorders but the company conducting the trial just made one terrible mistake after another. The six men, only one of which received a placebo, developed horrible side effects with one suffering multiple organ failure, while the rest just went through a living hell. If anyone is interested, there was a documentary made about this incident called "The Drug Trial: Emergency At The Hospital", where they used actors in a blow by blow recreation. It's just as harrowing as any horror movie in my opinion.

@@Lonesurvivor256 Absolutely. I've had some pretty horrible experiences while in hospital but nothing that comes close to this.
Hi Emma - In my college days the lure of some quick cash resulted in me participating in a weekend clinical trial. It was two days & nights of discomfort & uncertainty. Quite nerve wracking & I was paid but it wasn't worth the stress. I'll watch this & perhaps relate to it ! Thanks Emma & Happy Valentines Day 😊

This sounds interesting to me because of the lack of sleep aspect of the story. Fun fact: you'll actually die faster from sleep deprivation than from starvation. Yes, I know that wouldn't be considered a fun fact for most people,but if we're like most people we wouldn't be here now,would we? 😉
So glad to hear your take on this. I really liked it. Was never bored and found it satisfying and surprising in the horror department. Not a terribly complex story but fun nonetheless.

I participated in pharmaceutical studies several decades ago. Several. Interesting experience. They paid a lot of money.
And it was all tax free as well.. 😏
There's a few films based around trials like the experiment wich was based on more of a prison enviroment people on the trial were given roles as prisoners or guards and that ended in violence this was a good watch some great shots and didn't lose its way so much that you cant finish it the only disappointment was the ending im not sure what it was trying to do . Maybe set it up for a sequel or a retribution and revenge film i just think it could have been wrapped up with a survivor and consequences for what they endured still a good film definitely worth a watch.
I wish you could please do a video on deep find disturbing films. The only one is a Siberian film. Have you seen Big Bad Wolves? The twist had me thinking for days. Or The Kill list? Or The occupat or Sleep tight. ( Spanish thriller)

Hey help me out, there’s a really obscure rare horror movie that was gross out and made my an indie studio, it was called something like “doll killer sl*ts” or something like that and if I’m remembering correctly the cover had a childish drawling of a girl on it. I really hated all of the characters. They reminded me of some of the most annoying human traits. Dishonest, self serving, unwilling to listen to reason, selfish, abusive and stupid. I wish that some of the medical details were better.
I wish they had consulted more medical professionals.
As a medical professional, these things can be hard to watch. It’s hard to get involved as it’s so distracting.
The main character I despised, especially her neglect and brattishness towards her dying mother. I just didn’t care what happened to any of them.

@@spookyastronauts ur 100% right, this game series scarier than todays combined all horror & thriller movies. 😅
I watched it after seeing it had a 100% critics score on rotten tomatoes. Honestly, it was ok. You can tell they tried an it had a semi interesting concept, but the characters… wow. They’re almost like caricatures of how a human being should behave. It had that feel with the characters and acting of your local drama group production. Their acting at times made me think it was my eyes that were bleeding. The ending was kind of lame too. So overall it’s a decent effort but the result was a 3 or 4 at most out of 10.
