As many of you may know, Gromit lost his battle to cancer last week. He was my best friend and the heart of our home and will be forever missed.
Jumping back into my channel isn't a distraction nor is it pushing grieving to the side, know this is a very small fragment of my day... and much of it is spent in distress, I'm not going to film myself crying and put it online.. not about my best friend's passing.
Instead during this time I'd like to honour Gromit’s life, for the rest of 2023 100% of the profits for the No Tricks All Treats merch design will be donated to Greyhound Adoptions WA.

Greyhound Adoptions WA is a non-profit greyhound rehoming organisation based in Perth and is run entirely by volunteers. They have a ‘no kill’ policy, doing everything they can to find forever homes for dogs of any temperament.

I'm honestly surprised people think this movie is that dark or disturbing? Am I weird? The humor is on the darker side, sure, but overall I guess I thought it was pretty philosophical and satirical, weird and funny in the best ways. Loved it so much, fantastic film, really blew me away!
I mean I was pretty disturbed the whole twist on what she is is wild! But also very playful in a Yorgos manner

Hey, Emma. I know we all appreciate you putting out content still (and thank goodness we get another Yorgos), despite your heartbreak. I learned of Gromit's diagnosis the very same week that my cat was diagnosed, so I have been especially tuned into your story with him. I lost my cat in early October, and I can tell you I don't know that I would be able to do what you're doing, and I know how hard it must be off screen. Gromit was such a good boy, and you are quite an inspiration. Love to you and your partner as you get through this time. Stay spooky. ❤
Finally had a chance to watch this movie and I really really really enjoyed this movie.
It was well shot, well acted, I loved the story and as it did have some uncomfortable parts, but I think it makes sense in the context of the story.
Definitely worth the time to see this
So sorry to hear about sweet Gromit 😔 lost my own best friend one year ago, still hurts, but I always try to remember the joy he brought to my life and my family’s. They will always hold a special place in the heart.
I wholeheartedly admire your strength and courage being able to make a video just a week after Gromits passing. Im sincerely sorry for your loss, and as you said I hope you find some kind of comfort knowing you gave him the best life he could've hoped for.

Loved this movie, I was laughing the whole time. It is uncomfortable at times but the fantasy and comedy enhanced the themes for me. Probably a 9/10 for me. Also so sorry to hear about Gromit!

Trust me I know the pain of losing a dog, i have two but the connection I had with my first one will always be special. My Sandy passed away in 2020 and its still hurts toll thia day, thankfully i got her pawprint tattoo on me❤

I'm so sorry about Gromit's passing :( Many people tend to say that losing a pet isn't as hard as losing a dear human person, but I disagree - animals can be our bestest friends too, often much more than humans. And I could see so much how you treat Gromit as your best friend in your videos. Sending you all the love and hugs and as much mental support as I can 🫂🫂🫂 And I dearly hope that wherever Gromit is now, he's at a better place now and feeling much better physically. You definitely did the best you could, and I'm sure you were the most wonderful to him during those last moments and he definitely appreciated it with all his heart, that I can say for sure. And at least he'll always be in your heart, in your memories, at least you could share such beautiful memories you did with your animal best friend. The pain shows how much you loved him and I'm certain that he always felt that with every fibre of his being.
Please, remember to take care of yourself now too. I know it's hard to do that in times like this, I know how much one does feel guilt, no matter what, in times like this, but you deserve care too and I am sure Gromit would want you to take care of yourself as well ❤

I was not a huge fan of The Lobster and HATED dogtooth, but I loved The Favourite and decided to give this a try. Absolutely loved it! Definitely more commercial appeal like TF and look forward to seeing how it does during award season!

My heart goes out to you. Gromit was happy and his life filled with love thanks to you, and it showed on his adorable face. When I lost my fur baby three years ago, I was told by a close friend that if feeling grief in exchange for giving a full, happy life to my cat, then the pain when she is gone is worth it. She took a piece of my heart with her. Sending you lots of love.

Fantasy maybe but her her horror of the real world was dead on. Her ability to suffer for truth was heart breaking and yet life affirming. Not everything worth having is easy.
I'm so sorry to hear about Gromit. I've been personally having a hard time as well grieving fallen family members this past year, and just remember to give yourself some grace going forward. Recovering from grief is never a straight line. We all loved his adorable personality that he brought to your videos, and I for one am definitely going to miss him! 🧡🐶🧡

Good observations, but just FYI, there was no fish-eye lenses used in the movie. The super-wide lenses were all rectilinear.
Hey, not sure where you got your info? they definitely went for this look and talked about it a bunch in interviews. Maybe they didn't use fish lenses themselves but they had to manipulate the camera to do so.

"One major challenge on the film was cinematographer Robbie Ryan shooting with an 8mm fisheye lens. According to Hughes, “The biggest challenge with those lenses was that they were used for big wide establishers, so we had to do set extension work. We had to de-lens plates to unwrap the distortion, and once you do that on an 8mm fisheye, that resolution is enormous and was breaking our pipeline!”

OMG! I AM SO SO SO SORRY for your dog! I know how it feels, and it is so hard! Cant imagine losing my other golden retriever that I have now since 7 years. Buying another dog fast was for me the best option to help me, but of course, it is not a replacement but more of a balm on you heart. Courage!
