This is quite painful to watch, but it’s exactly what I see everyday at most club games
yup true
Im usely the Comrad 😂
I think another way to summarise it is to play with strategy or intentionality in mind. A lot of casual players will simply hit the shuttle back without consideration as to where their opponent is standing. If you hit a shot to get your opponent out of balance, their return of shot most of the time becomes easier to attack and finish the point off.
Good tips, he needs more drilling - 1 hour isn't enough to make a physical difference, but it's definitely enough to make a mental difference in how to start approaching the game. I hope he keeps practicing, or keeps seeking coaching~
Great video. I hope you can put out more of these types of vids.
It's back to basics, FOOTWORK!!! If your footwork is trash, don't think about playing singles
I agree. Fluid footwork flow to recovery/4 corners is Key. Having the best technical skills isn't going to help, if you can't get from A to B fast enough to execute your shot comfortably - as I found out the painful way against more Advance Players; esp when they decide to be extra mean with deceptive/trick shots.
There are some pretty good CZcams vids on 4 corners on footwork flow which Conrad could do to refine his movements, stay in balance, reduced % unenforced errors, better control of rally etc
All kudos to Conrad for still giving his all....!
Moat
Many people here are talking trash. Conrad didnt play that bad. Many shots had the right thought behind it but lacked small amounts of accuracy. Also it looks like he just doesnt play often against Players that are at the level of Paul. I think the lack of efficient movement and positioning and therefore blance and recovery are the biggest problems. And yeah these are hard things to fix when you are older.
Taking the shuttle too close to the body is one mistake that I noticed and same goes with most other beginners or even intermediate players.
Cut the guy some slack, he looks at least 40? Maybe weaker legs + years of compromising for it is changing his footwork
For a beginner or casual level player to be honest Conrad is not that bad. But, he doesn't have a strong basic such as holding racket properly. If he plays with intermediate players or competitive players, sure he will get better.
Useful video ❤
Really hard to teach/correct such player due to bad habits. You've already told him where to hold the racquet yet still changed back to normal form, like others have mentioned, beginners always tend to hit the shuttles in a rush, else allows shuttles to get close to their bodies. Need to relax whole body, hold the racquet correctly, know where and when to hit the shuttle, split step. He doesn't have the height yet still holding the racquet that way how does he expects to perform a good shot ...
His issue is footwork. He's running around the court. Cant get balance if you dont know how to move
I played for 1.5 years and many ppl say I improved fast, my secret- play Singles 😅
Yeahthat fricking net... That fricking net
Can you make a video about the badminton and what badminton we should use
I need some training too
Great video and great Jersey (Conrad) :p
No way 20 years, either played stoped and then played, or played in the backyard cuz I've been playing for 4 months and I have better form, literally just by watching videos
Same bro
Probably played on and off for 20 years, but never had any formal instruction, just self taught and learned through playing recreationally.
We all overestimate ourselves.
Even I have better footwork, balance, and overall shot placements in 1 year than 20 years of the subscriber. Practice ain't gonna cut it. Practice the PROPER WAY should always be the mindset.
thank you for the totourials
I just realized you are in Richmond
as a beginner i learned alot in this video
Can you do how to do double badminton pls I well play badminton
Lol thats why they subscribe
Isn't this the same guy who makes youtube shorts with a piano
Great advice man , this guy needs more cardio and intent. If he's fit he'll commit more to take his shots.!
He doesn’t play badminton with net he plays with a line
Yikes all arm no body, but great attitude to take instruction 🙂
it must hurt his biceps..😂😂😂😂
maybe its too late for him to correct his bad habits? its like almost 50% if conrad's badminton skills need to be corrected, problem is it's a 20 years of bad habit needed to be corrected... last you can do conrad is just enjoy playing hehehe.
20 years ........ bro no its not with his footworks i can sure that
lets play book a flight to phillipines i subscribed
i alsoe need this help
Need help with spelling?
I have been playing for 2 years. And i can challenge your subscriber for $100 😂😂😂
just need more lessons, balance and flow/rhythm will come...then the game will slow down for deceptions and setups
Oh you're the one who plays piano on Tiktok😲😲
He is
Bro doesn't this guy play the piano
This may seem like a win win for the poor guy, come on the channel, get free coaching in exchange for his time. Except the few tips he got would be next to useless without time to digest. You really owe him a good few hours of coaching to make this a fair exchange.
He plays forcefully and that’s very hurtful to watch. Hope he doesn’t get much injuries during his 20years in badminton
IM YOUR SUBSCRIBER TOO. CAN YOU CAME UTTARAKHAND IN INDIA AND PLAY WITH ME ITS A BIGGEST OPPORTUNITY TO ME PLEASE, YOU CAN MAKE A VLOG IN MOUNTAIN AREAS AND SO MANY THINGS FOR A CONSTANT .

BRO IS THE DEFENITION OF LAZY THOSE SHUTTLE WERE RIGHT NEXT TO HIM AND HE DOESN'T GO AND HIT IT IT'S SO PAINFUL TO WATCH
Conrad 's actions are wrong
why these people talking sm trash smh🤦♀
Sorry to say this guy is below average 😢. His fitness levels are clearly lacking, and his techniques need some major improvements as well as footwork. I have stopped playing badminton for over 10 years only coming back to it now and I’m pretty sure I’m still better than him 😂 I normally play doubles for fun and for cardio but this guy is just the definition of a terrible doubles partner- not wanting to move just a bit to get shuttles or don’t know how to, hence relying on their partner to run all the other 3 corners whilst he parks himself in 1.
but nice content
Kalooy pud ana pud oi maayo nalang Inyo ge togloan @aylex badminton academy
Lmao 20 years💀 i played for only 2 and i can thrash him 21-5💀, aint no way 20 years no footwork, power, speed, deception, variety of shots, recovery, defence
why is bro so rude?? Who hurt you?
