- After a very successful first year, the 2024 #ToyotaGRCorolla is back and Toyota even decided to bring back to #GRCorolla #CircuitEdition trim, while introducing a new #BlameFlame exterior color. #Toyota says about 1600 of the #GRCorollaCircuit will be produced and it should continue to be one of the hottest AWD sport compacts money can buy.

This is going to be a fun car to get. About 20 years from now when theyre affordable.
Only 1500 made for each year so far they say… they will still be expensive and clapped by then
If you got a $50,000 car on credit you could be a dishwasher and still make the $1,200 payment.
@@nevinkuser9892 imagine driving this car as a dishwasher. Biggest flex of the whole restaurant
@xChriz503 idk about flex.... if your the trash guy but you drive a Lamborghini? I wouldn't give two shits about you trash boy lmfao.
Looks awesome in that shade of blue!
Dear Sofyan;
First, I love that you're "Part of the family" and performing auto, videos. You are needed.
Second, your videos are always, informative and entertaining; with great cinematography, audio and lighting.
All the very best

That's the color I want! Thanks for the review!!!! ✌🏽❤️✊🏽
Living in Germany, this car is now the ultimate forbidden fruit for me. A hot GR Corolla, but now there is my favorite color, too…
Don’t feel left out we want the Yaris 😂
Looks cool with the styling and the color of the vehicle.
I just got mine today it’s awesome!!!
This car looks amazing in this color. I love it!
Those are beautiful
This color looks nice, just picked up my red circuit edition couple days ago and I gotta say I still prefer my red 😀
I put a deposit down 4/22, MSRP + $900 dealer add ons. Car came in, white, looked good but I wanted red. Called around 50 dealers looking for red. For me red was the only color.
@stevethomas760 trust me friend the red is to die for looks so good in person in different levels of light and the red calipers and red gr logos just go so well with red. I have 200 miles on mine now and it's a phenomenal car I'm excited for you :)
@@subliminalGR97 Yep, red is the color. At least in our book. I'm pretty respectful of my cars so I didn't go deep into the rpms until it was broken in (2,853mi now). Fun stuff when you hit the start button on the angry 3 cylinder. Enjoy!
Mine is black but is the core with performance package and technology package I'm happy with it
This circuit edition is a blast. It’s my daughter’s 1rst new car and now I want one. I’m an old school muscle car guy but really love the power, handling and comfort of this car and at over 6’ it’s got plenty of room in front.
Gorgeous spec
Best looking new car out for now id like this over the new cars just bc of the awd, 3cylinder that’s boosted! Hopefully the new mr2 is something special
Is Toyota going to come back down to earth? The 2023 MSRP, markups & unobtainium factor ruined this car. Toyota needs to make amends, drop prices & increase production numbers to rescue their reputation.
Actual buyers are happy with Toyota, I’m pretty sure the reputation still A1.
That's across the board, dude. Prices in general are significantly higher than they were per covid. Prices likely aren't going to go down unless we see a recession or inflation decreases dramatically. I'll agree that they need to up production. They're making 100 more circuits this year which is better than nothing, but still not good enough.
I’d get a honda over toyota any day
@@hero3616this is way better than lame looking civic.
Not for 10k $ more lmfaoooo @@abuelb
It's between this blue & the gray for me.
Now that they have an all wheel drive version I'm going to get one. I wish they would sell the Yaris GR in the US.
I’ve had my grc for a year today. Really might trade into this
Wow blue paint suits perfect 👍💯😍
flaming blue betchin!!! with a shocking 3 cylinder - I don't agree with going fewer cylinders, but its still betchin, I drive a corolla LE LOL!!! I ONLY CLICKED CAUSE I SAW THE WORD FLAMING AND I WANTED TO SEE WHAT your take is all about - great review
That thing looks so freaking cool.
I want one 😊
Why are they “corporate” headlights”? Does that mean standard?
I had the opportunity at my local toyota dealership to choose between this corolla gr or a 2024 supra mt, i chose the corolla gr. Hope i made the right choice🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆
Mane F*** the Type-S! Gimme this all day any day over the Teggy and CTR.
LOVE YOUR REVIEW BRO!
I love that car. I'm from South Africa.
I've owned 2 Toyota corollas 28 years ago. One was a sprinter rwd and a 1975 coupe 2 door, that was stolen and never recovered.
Now I have an E30 BMW which is immaculate and a Golf mk1 in top condition. But I still long for Toyota Corollas.
Well I hope I can possibly purchase the GR circuit edition RHD for SA.
I hope not all is with blue stitching? I like RED!!!
As a Honda boy this car looks way better than what ever the fuck the civics are doing I’m leaning more towards the Corolla it’s legit the perfect hatch the civics look like ugly SUV’s. I could care less about Vtec and the shifts in the long run Toyota quality is superior I found that out owning a 94 Toyota pick up and an 98 civic.
Welp, looks my hunt will shift to a circuit.
Will low inventories of this GR Corolla 'short circuit' availability for buyers? 🤔🤣😂
God forbid they had that beautiful blue on the new Tacoma...
Cant wait to see the dealer markup
95k
I don't think they'll be quite as bad for 2024. Even now, your average markup is significantly lower than it was on initial release unless you're after a Morizo. At this point, most people who are willing to pay a markup already have their cars.
Yep. The cores are selling for 50k used, and the circuit editors are 75-85k used. I like this car but I'll either wait a year or two, or just get something else
@diallo1347 At this point, I don't think anyone is paying $50k for a core or 75-80k for a circuit. A dealer can ask those prices, but I don't think anyone is paying them at this point. Most people who were willing to pay large markups already have their car.
as normal daily hatch, i prefer the more cargo space of civic...but if i want a sporty hatch, i think corolla looks better
Cool, fun little hatch. No front armrest is absolutely ridiculous.
A little background on the armrest. Toyota reluctantly removed it late in development of the car upon the insistence of their test drivers, who were asked by Akio Toyoda to take the optimization of the car for track use very seriously. Removing the armrest increased the cost of the car.
If only they would have driven a few more laps and found out about the rear coupling overheating!
@johnjfrederick Interesting. Thanks for that. Tbh, I think that makes me even more annoyed lol. It literally ISN'T a track car. Changes to suspension, gearing, steering, etc, to make a street car more track focused is fine. Taking a mid grade STREET car and doing something so dramatic is silly and unnecessary. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how track focused you make a street car. The vast majority of people will never track it.
@@MizzouRah78 ha I feel ya! Especially considering how compromised this car is for daily use, literally every square inch of utility space counts. There are guys online looking to swap out the useless wireless charge pad for the base model console tray because it gives a few extra CC’s of storage space! 😂 That said, I do think the end result that these guys put together is special. The car feels and drives unlike anything I’ve experienced. Nothing world beating, but far beyond the usual tarted up econobox. Really makes me want to drive the CTR, knowing how unanimously it’s considered a better track car. Just need to get a kidney belt for that.
@@johnjfrederick The CTR is kind of out of the Corolla's league. It drives like no other.
@@soverythirsty8272 So say all the youtubers! For $10k more it better be in another league! In my case CTR would have been a minimum $12k premium over the GRC I bought. I was 2nd and 3rd in line for CTR at $5k markup at 2 different dealers. Once actual MSRP was announced I had to pull out. I live in the snow belt, after all. GRC made more sense for me, plus I knew I wasn't going to pay a dollar of markup.
I really, really want to like this car. But it's about $40k MSRP (if you can get it for that) and it doesn't even have an armrest. Yes, I get the mentality. It's a PERFORMANCE car and those pesky armrests get in the way blah blah blah. Yet literally everyone complains about it because anyone who drives it anywhere but the track for any length of time wants it. The last car I had that didn't have an armrest was a 2003 Acura RSX, and it was sorely missed. I will never again buy a car without one because when I'm just cruising down the freeway at 75mph, my arm needs somewhere to sit.
And the sea of gloss black plastic in the interior that doesn't belong in a performance vehicle
I’m with you on the armrest, add no spare tire for me. Thank goodness there are solutions. Got my armrest last week but haven’t put it in yet. You can wedge a compact spare in (some serious foam cutting). My base Core was $40.5k
@@stevethomas760 got links to the armrest?
Yeah, it's a bit of a pain not having one, but not a deal breaker for me. There are a few aftermarket solutions out there. I hoped they'd fix this for 2024 but oh well...
I have the Toyota Agya. It's basically the same car but slower. So I'd feel great driving this.
Nice color. A little darker than Porsche Mexico Blue.
All these wireless charge pads need to be elaborated in more detail with each review. Many of them will not charge your phone unless it's out of the case.
50k for a corolla is crazy!
After dealer markups, it's actually over 70k. Smh
So fun fact you can actually order it for msrp which is $45k. I just ordered mine imo it's worth it compared to the sti this is a much more fun car, and it feels quicker too.
@@esu2537 I rather buy a fucken Supra for that price😇😇
@@esu2537 you can't "order" a GR Corrola, the dealership gets allocated 1 or 2 when Toyota feels like it and you have to 1) be at the top of the wait list 2) pray that it has the features you want and 3) still negotiate the price. Most dealers are promising a fair price near msrp and then asking for 70k for the circuit edition. Good luck when you go the dealership.
@@allcompilation6733 gr corolla aint that expensive if you can get ur hands for one at msrp you can re sell it for double and people pay it lol
Nice hot hatch, but there is one deal breaker for me. All compact cars should have a 40/20/40 split or a pass-through instead of a 60/40 split. I can't count the number of times I used the pass through in my GTI.
blue flame cicuit edition is for me....
Why is all CZcamsrs reviewing the circuit edition when most ppl can’t even get a hold of anything other than the core?
review toyoya Velfire
“Shares a lot with the 2jz” and follows that statement with “it’s a 1.6L direct injection 3 cylinder” 😂😂😂😂
The car would look better if the headlights were more similar to the ones on the new Camry.
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Gr corolla sounds like my vacuum
This isn't actually a new color Toyota basically added that color from the regular Corolla Hatch which isn't a bad thing
#BlameFlame
Not my cup of tea “ color” but happy they offering different color
I like that blue but every brand has that blue so feel like it over done
The regular Corolla hatchback has had this blue since it launched back in like 2018 lol.
@@Tritonal92 i know i mean that this color is overplayed. So many car brand doing this color. Not that special anymore
What color isn't over done now a days haha
@@seezang Oh no... other people have a color and I can't be a special little snowflake.
Whatever will I do? Pick a color I like less because I have no other personality traits?
That color is s flamer.
No sunroof 🤔❓ but the CAR looks so HOT 🔥
What's the point of reviews of cool cars nowadays. You can't even buy them without getting robbed. Especially a Toyota. From looking around at cool cars recently it seems
you have two choices if you want a decent deal, GTI or WRX.
😂 I just searched for one, dealer wants $52,000.
Theyre in the mid $40k for circuit edition. Carfax buddy.
sigh, whats the point when nobody can get one.
Sweet my super sonic red GR corolla is not back for 2024
Yeah won't be able to buy one in Canada. The markups are too insane.
No markups in Canada, have to talk to actual owners?
You didn't talk about the thunk of the door. 🙄
Take a good listen, and you ll know why.
Sounds like a slapping newspaper like Toyotas do.
Dude you posted the wrong thumbnail
Lol whoops, yup sorry, we noticed a bit late but its all fixed! 😅
@@theredline can't wait in gran turismo 7
Unless Toyota decided to switch to Brembo's for 2024 they could be using ADVICS the same as the 2023
I believe they are Akebono.
i like aggressive balls ters....keeps me in place when driving aggressively
Glad that Toyota is still making cars like this with the enthusiast in mind, but $50k OTD for a hot hatch is outlandish. I really don't know who this car is for.
Me. My Core, $40.5k
You answered your question, enthusiasts are waiting in line to buy
@@yvonjasser cool?
@@JEFFKINGS very cool car indeed, can’t wait for mine to arrive
@@yvonjasser Imagine paying BMW money for an economy car. They saw you coming my guy 😂
Once again the nice blue is a conquest color. You just cannot buy a good blue for every car, but somehow you can buy white, black maroon 4 shades of silver but blue NAH
Dislike black mirror trend! lol. Don’t like that it’s manual only but understand. And no sunroof is disappointing. But I guess it’s just a Corolla after all. Sorry to diehard Corolla people.
Man I’m gonna trade my Gr corolla for this
How is this a 2024?
There needs to be a rear seat delete option for the Core and Circuit. Asking too much I'm sure )-;
3 pot engine good enough 😂

We need a GR Camry!
No, no we don't... could have an optional carbon fiber tissue box holder on the rear parcel shelf though...
Lol
I would do terrible things for one
The price, this has to be a joke?! What is happening now a days?! People wake up!!!!!! This price is obscenely unrealistic!
46k MSRP for a Corolla? If they dropped the price by 16k I could understand but 46k? This is Lipstick on a pig folks
No Arm rest in the center console is a deal breaker for me.
Aftermarket, got mine last week
Too bad it will be sold for $60k plus like last year.
Look around, my Core was $40.5k
I don't think these will be marked up quite as much next year as there's not a ton of differences and most of the people will to pay mark ups already have a car. Mark ups are already decreasing with 2023s.
Look like a ford Focus Rs color 😊
no auto on the 24?
That’s my biggest question as well

Its more luxury
No spare????
Deal breaker on ANY CAR OR TRUCK that doesn't give you a spare...
One car I will NEVER BUY
With you on the spare. You can get a compact spare in. CZcams video.

With me on the SPARE....ALL CAR COMPANIES ARE OBLIGATED TO GIVE US ONE.......do we get flats?
@@HandsONreviews4u Damn, did you think I was the one that made the decision for you not spare tire? Hell, I agreed with you. Dial it back.
Sadly, I bet all of these three new models will be immediately sold out to collectors before any true enthusiasts can have a chance to buy and enjoy driving them.
Unobtainium factor & inflated MSRP & markups will seriously sour the reputation & legacy of this car & Toyota in general. Why didn’t they just outsource to BMW?? Ho hum.
Just gotta find a dealer that's msrp only. I just put a deposit down for a circuit. I'll have to wait 6-9 months but it'll be worth it not to pay any sort of mark up or crap I don't want. Seeing as there's only 2 colors for 2024 circuits I don't think blue will be that tricky to come by.
Get on a list and be ready to pay and you can get one. I'm not a collector. Mine is on the way and will be driven. Good luck!

It should have came in their anniversary green metallic then that smurf shit blue I hate that color
1500 cars a year is nothing 🤦🏻♂️
Build quality and build design are pretty shit. No arm rest, no rear ac vents, all hard touch plastic in different areas, limited cargo space, 0-60 4.9 isn’t anything to rave about for a car that after dealers get it will be sold for 50-55k+. No thanks
Gr yaris is better
No front arm rest? Seriously? Sometimes I think Toyota does dumb stuff like this just to fck with their customers.
I’m sorry but I can’t wait until this particular shade of blue is out of style.
The GR corolla in a comparison test came in dead last to the golf r Elantra and the ctr.
That shows the GR corolla is all overhype with no real results
Comparison test done by whom with what parameters?
Erm which test?
Look up car and driver GR corolla vs CTR vs golf r

On what, a track test? In terms of long term reliability, practicality from a daily driver perspective its reasonably class competitive.
I love Honda Accord and civic
