Hey guys, here is a video that we made to show you how to remove and replace spring from one strut to another. Also, if you want to install lowering springs this procedure will help you as well. It is very dangerous job. Never stand in the way of the spring.
This strut and spring was from a Toyota Highlander. Most of the cars nowadays use the McPherson type suspension in the front especially. Link for the tools used can be found on our website.

then you may need an alignment. If you measure the distance between two plates before pressing the spring, and get the same distance on the new one, you will not need the alignment at all. Other than that, very good video.

If the part was available for purchase, I would have replaced the bump stop too. That thing takes a lot of abuse over the years.

You skipped the video part (most essential part) where you straighten out and go straight to the middle of the spring. That’s where I am having the trouble. Thumbs down.
