I bought my Lamborghini gallardo 4 years ago in immaculate condition. I then added twin turbos to it making it over 1000bhp. Sadly i then crashed the car so now i have to rebuild it. The damage is so bad that ive had to call in professionals to help me repair the frame work of the car but hopefully today i can get it started for the first time since the accident.

The talent on display here is so impressive. Hats off to the guys at Machine Shop in particular. The level of skill and precision is mind blowing.
Agreed, it's great to see people who are skilled and take pride on their work
When they tried to fit the front frame for the 1st time. I was like WTF, how is it so close !
You can add center locking wheels like in f1 cars to the Gallardo
Boggles the mind. I can't even get cold air intakes on!
Totally agree...a massive work with stunning precision!
Matt the puffer-wearing cameraman has outgrown his role, he's now spotting things like the orientation of the oil tank based on the position of the heatshield. Give that man a raise!
Heâs learning well!
Just need his brother to find that glass hammer!
lol nah he camera man Matt needs more cars would love to see a urus or Aventador sv in the fleet
â@@MatArmstrongbmx my son watches your videos to a point that i myself am learning about cars.Keep up the good work
Liam...I also noted that...im impressed đđit's funny coz I understand everything now...wat im missing is a crash damaged lambo and valvoline and car vertical sponsorship money
I absolutely love how these videos arenât spread into 19 episodes. Long form is definitely the way. Much appreciated mate đ„
agree - which is why having tavarish floating around the workshop gives me PTSD đ
The amount of work they press into each day is just unimaginable for a normal human being.
Big time! Love it
He has a good platform ... Addictive a f
like tavaris?
I think we all need to take a moment to thank Mat for not wasting our time..One of the only car guys on CZcams that i will continue watching because of this.
Ofcourse,Also Happy that the Lambo is alive again đ
Nice words mate.
I donât think people understand how much work it is to do soo much work, film it and put all in one episodeâŠwow MAT, you are a CZcams Gem đđŒđđ„
Tony is so full of energy. What a man. Matt is lucky to have a dad like him.
i swr this comment is on everyone of his videos
But isnât it the truth đ
Mat*
As a dad myself, I can imagine Tony is having an incredible time working so closely with his successful son on projects as cool as these.
Don't read my name
The Machine Shop did a amazing job đđđđ
Yeah they are crazy , wonder what the bill was đ
Freddie hearing the start up and coming through the door was what every petrol head should be like. Well done in getting it started.
Those welds beads are some of the best ive EVER seen. TIG welding is insanely difficult. Those guys have some real skill. Cheers to them!!!!
Hey Matt you wonât see this but itâs so exciting to me that you uploaded this video. Life ainât great for everyone at the moment with everything being so poorly mismanaged. Itâs small things like your videos that allow people to escape their dark reality for even just 40 minutes. Thank you bro â€
Dude, these jobs you find yourself in the middle of are the hardest jobs of car restoration, i cant believe youâre rebuilding all these cars you rebuilt and then crashed yourself. So much work, you have some serious cahones to take on all this carnage.
What I like about Matt's videos is that you actually LEARN aswell, this guy should do some kind of online course or something on how to do basic car fixes, disc brakes, brake pads etc. I'd buy into that.
Rebuilding car videos over multiple episodes are dead, Matt has raised the bar, everyone needs to play catch up. Quality Mattđ
Yeah goes to show whatâs possible with a more collaborative approach and setting yourself deadlines. Iâll probably be retired by the time project binky is done, and Iâm decades off retirement. Mattâs here smashing out builds near monthly, yeah, heâs paying for some help, but thatâs what the CZcams money is for.
â@@Jonathan_Doe_are saying Matt needs more brackets đ€Ł
Project Binky, about 9 f'in years I think isn't it. For a mini đđ â@@Jonathan_Doe_
I just saw a video from the official F1 page which was posted exactly the same time as your video and you have more than 4 times the views in the same time. Respect. You are officially bigger than F1
Why do you think F1 and Richard Hammond are popping up on this channel? The video of Hammond interviewing Mat has less than half the views the matching video has on Matâs channel.
â@@msicreatorz16-zbring back group B rallying
Bigger than F1 in terms of CZcams views*
Does Mat have the reach and size of operation like F1?
@@msicreatorz16-z they didn't go flying of hills, they went flying in the groups of spectators lol
Of course
"You don't need steering, look where it got you" such a brilliant comment! again, what a great video, easily the best channel on CZcams!
Theses body shop guys are artists pure and simple.
If this was Tarvarish video weâd be watching a full history about who the guys from Machine Shop are, when they were founded, the members they lost in the process, each workers date of birth and a definition of what a car is from the perspective of the Machine Shop guys. I really appreciate Mat Armstrong
đđđ as much as I love Freddy I have to agree
Thats basically any adhd person. People think of them being easily distracted. However they can actually hyper focus so strongly that they dive deeper than almost anyone else on certain subjects that just happen to please them.
being ADHD I completely understand.

đfacts
â@@EvilDeadFan11That's fine. But it can also be edited out or shortened to a simple summary.
Tavarish had the best one liner...."You don't need steering, look where it got you." BTW, give Dad a hug, that man loves working with you !!! He's absolutely priceless !!
What a Dad & Son relationship. Both enjoying each others company, sharing the same sense of Humour and rebuilding cars
Well done to all of you on the rebuild.
You have all made it look easy.
Usually other peopleâs videos seem to get stale after awhile. Almost like they run out of ideas or passion for what they do. Iâve been watching Mattâs videos for a couple of years and they just keep getting better. Seems he loves what he does and you can feel that when you watch these builds. Makes me wanna go out and tear apart my car just to rebuild it. Best one yet.
13:18 Tony's bit "Do you know what a we bolt is?" đ "Weeeee" had me rolling
Made me laugh so hard lol
That needs to be sound in every video from now on đđ
Youâre very easily amused.
it's because he was so serious when he asked the question that got me too
no shitđ
What Mat and Tony Armstrong do together is truly amazing. With what they know together and with having Freddy Tarvarish consulting I don't think there is anything that cannot do.
Do you know what a whee-bolt is?
It's a bolt that's little đâ@@theParticleGod
@@RetroYamaha did you watch the video??
This is weird, clearly a bit account. Are high profile CZcamsrs paying for fake comments?
Might sound weird, but I never skip ahead on your videos. I want the entire damn things from start to finish. I feel like that is definitely the mark of amazing editing and being interesting the entire time so thank you, Mat!
There's a lot of unseen planning and work involved in this repair! Those Machine Shop guys were brilliant ==not cheap I would suspect but 100% worth it!
I traveled 5000 miles just to hear that thing start.
I'm not sure why you're getting so much hate in this edit but it's damn disrespectful! Love your edits Freddy! Keep doing you!
You know you had to go for moral support as well bro. Canât let him have all the fun by himself either lol
Just got another follower purely for that " look where it got you" đđđđ
I dont wanna play around but... i trully think Mat's channel can be the top 1 ever in this type of car videos, 6h upload and already 759K, tons of follows every month, the sky is the limit đ„đ„đ„
It is!
Sky is not the limit when there are foot steps in the moon.
Put a bunch of great guys, who are great to each other, together and magic happens...the Machine Shop guys were awesome too!
This has fast become my favourite channel on CZcams! The banter between Matt, his dad, well everyone really, is just awesome. Add to that, they tackle some pretty insane projects makes for a good watch too!!!
Over 100k view's in less than an hour. This will be in the top 20 trending videos. Well done guys.
432,+++ in 3 hours. đȘđœđȘđœđđœ
I still think this is one of the best if not the best automotive channel, and watching him re build a car he crashed 2 mins away from my childhood home is awesome!!đ„đ„
Those are some serious years of experience from the Machine Shop Guys. Their gapping looks micrometer perfect.
Bro...not only do you do a good job building a car but you do a good job building the drama...when that thing started I was so happy for you guys. We all know that feeling. Good job.
The cleanness of the cuts by the machine shop guys is truly impressive.
Mat realises that we will watch his videos no matter how long they are, and actually, we prefer long videos where he gets so much of his projects complete. Keep it going, Mat.
I'm an ex welder, I used to find that welding aluminium with a TIG welder was fairly easy, once I worked out that aluminium doesn't change colour when it gets hot and all I had to do was tap it with the rod and see if it pools, that was when I knew it was hot enough. As far as the factory welds breaking, they shouldn't as the weld should be stronger than the parent metal. The parent metal should break first, not the weld.
Wow Mat the guys from the machine shop are the real deal! Outstanding job by all of you in getting the Lambo much closer to being back on the road!
Insulate the exhaust manifolds, rear engine cars are prone to overheating/catching fire. The exhaust manifold is the hottest part of your engine. It will also help a little with power. Your preserve temperature in your flue gas (good for power).
My thoughts exactly, not wrapping WILL lead to issues, I just hope it doesn't just burn down... it would have been so easy before it got fitted.
Or get them ceramic coated inside and out.
The originals had heatshields. You want to prevent the heat leaking into the engine bay. You just want to get to the turbo and then evacuate through the exhaust. The turbos can handle a lot of heat as they are oil and water cooled. A manifold won't melt on its own, unless bad designed.
I think coating the inside would restrict flow again and maybe be of risk for the turbos (flaking off).
Agree. Ceramic coating + shields. Or carry 2x6kg extinguisers in passenger seat. Knowing you - things WILL get hot at the back đź
Stay safe out there Mat. Lost my mate in Twin turbo audi R8. 4 years ago, still never recovered from that. Pleease, i request you drive safe!
Thing I respect the most about Mat is that he does more work than talk.. compared to other CZcamsrs who upload a video 30mins long n 25mins out of it is TALKING n 5mins work
Imo you shouldâve gone for an tubed frame with carbon panels. Weight reduction and 1000+ horses đźâđšđźâđš. Would love to see you do a build with an exposed frame. But besides that the work you do on this channel is definitely the best on this platform, glad to see a uk CZcamsr do this stuff
The "for 3 quid a month" joke absolutely floored međđ
Mat, your dad is a freaking legend. You've truly been blessed. Keep up the fantastic work!!
I love seeing Mat's dad on camera, he's always so giggly and cheerful
I don't exactly know when but I'm definitely gonna come to uk and meet Tony. he's most awesome dad ever. he's a true blessing.
At 8:15 in the video, you can see the inside of the original chassis is not a simple box section. If the aluminium section cut and replaced has one or more spars reinforcing it internally, and you can only possibly weld around the outside and not rejoin the internal structural elements, how do you know your fix is strong enough? You've replicated like for like when looking from the outside but not the inside of the aluminium extrusions. Just adding more reinforcement externally will not result in like-for-like structural performance / characteristics for instance when crumpling in another crash worst case. How do you validate you structural changes ?
I was thinking the same thing. The way Lamborghini put the doubler plates around them makes me believe thatâs a high stress location. But without seeing the FEA it would be hard to determine if the new joint was out of the stress concentration zone.
Came here to say this.
I thought the same, surprised there aren't more comments on this
Exactly what I was going to say, it won't be the same strength. I was thinking, there is no way to connect the inside cross-sections, maybe some clever inside epoxy glue-up could have been done, but doesn't look like it happened.
Can't wait for the true cost of the Lamborghini , original buying price and modifications plus the new parts and rebuild cost with labour from the machine shop. Mind blowing.
Itâs sad when the video is nearing the end. I keep on hoping it lasts a little longer. Amazing to watch. Relaxes me some how. Thanks Matt
I think it is so cool that you and Freddie have linked up and do stuff together. I have been watching his wrench every day stuff and then yours !
That Tig welding is absolutely sweet, what an awesome job he did of that, what a cool company
Never a dull moment Mat. Itâs great to see Matt getting involved more and more too. Machine Shop blokes are clever AF!! Looking forward to seeing the next instalment.
God I love Tony. He's such a good man. I really look up to him in his ability to be so light hearted and fun.
Wrap the manifolds to reduce heat emission, Funk Motorsport do a really good titanium exhaust wrap, I used it on my Lotus Exige branch manifold, worked really well. Great video, one of your best. đ€đ
The amount of work you guys do per video is unbelievable. There is no car channel pumping out so much high quality content with such a small operation.

@@garyhost354yeah but even Cleetus breaks down his builds into multiple videos. Meanwhile Matt doesnât⊠he does it all in one long video and to me thatâs better off, I donât care how long the video is if I get to watch the whole build start to finish! Big ups to Matt and the gang from the US đ«ĄđȘđ

Matt, I did see something that is a bit worrying... that top piece is a twin square tuba aluminum. It was welded on the outside but not in the center.... just saying
Said before but will say it again...Don't ever lose the last 10 second segment. Always gives that final buzz.
Are we not going to talk about Tavarish immediately coming in to the shop to celebrate the car ran again? Wish we all have friends like that, respect!

My mental health is a priority right now though. Thanks for the encouragement guys. Watching this content means a lot to me

Just an FYI. You can MIG weld aluminum, but itâs a slightly different process as MIG for steel. I used to build aluminum truck bodies and we used MIG for the whole structure. Cheers!

Exactly how Matt and tonys relationship is, Iâve always wanted with my father but i got my own son to give this same kind of bond to and for that Iâm grateful.
I like that Tavarish was just there at the end like, âHey, you got it up and running again.â

Props to Mat for taking the proper precautions building the frame. Itâs nothing to play with, I know Mat is so talented but this is such speciality
So happy to see this beauty come back to life!
I really enjoyed this one. Full of good detail with just the right amount of fun thrown in as well. Better than most TV shows if I'm honest.
Matt just want to point out I think you should heat protect the engine bay from them new manifolds I would hate to see a fire in the engine bay and they be the reason for it. Awesome vid dude keep it up
