Ummm guys, what's the deal with the trash wobbly camerawork ?? đ€ź
Jason Bourne fight scene camerawork went out of fashion 15yrs ago đ«€
I have a silver one of these you can have for free
You guys need "look mum no computer" to help you out :)
Hi guys, i was one of the original builders of the fto, i was one who did the original iteration of the boot build what had sony subs, and was one done over 22 years ago
Aaaand up you go! We need to hear more of your stories! Hows Tina btw?! đ
Don't read my name
How is tina doing?
I would never have admitted to that

We must all have the same mutual friend then because Iâm interested too
I'd have them too. Asking for myself. Really curious what was going on there.
/same for a friend of course
There's a seller on the bay of e who has a heap for sale for a fiver.
A good idea would be to sell those DVDs on the TDC shop
And use most of the profit to pay for the partial restoration

@@beesleyben put a wig on Will and call her Tina from now on lol
If the DVDs are age restricted they'll need a licence.
Today's young drivers have NO idea how cool the early 2000s modding scene was!
To be fair, as lads who grew up watching Fast and Furious and Pimp My Ride. we knew about it, saw a few modified cars out and about, but on the whole the general consensus between me and my mates was that they were all a bit naff.
I donât any of the Max Power era cars have aged very well at all.
One of my favourite weekend activities as a 15 year old was hanging around bus stops in town with a Bacardi Breezer watching the endless laps the local modified cars used to do. Novas, Fiestas, Saxos, Astra GTEs... Never understood why my mates wanted to chase girls instead. Weirdos.
â@@LongLiveHelghastI didn't like the max power era at all either. Good riddance.
It sure beats all the pops-and-bangs Fiesta ST "builds" you see on the roads now
â@LongLiveHelghast you're not wrong they haven't aged well at all but it was very fun at the time...

Why not? you ask. Because it was never really funny and hasn't aged well.
My dad Richard built this car! And I LOVED it I got taken to the primary school disco in this bad boii and all the kids were jealous when I got out and the doors went up! Most popular Iâve ever been tbh đ this video made me so happy to see it again!

I donât know - they censored it to avoid any potential demonetisation and shocking everyone

You'll need to double check the serial number, but that might be a Automobile Snow White color PS2 SCPH-30000, which are like a grand. There were a limited number of PS2 consoles painted with automotive paint and that looks like it may be one of them
Nah , its normal silver one , I have the same one , mine is SCPH-50004
That would be too good to be true, I would also say it's just a normal silver one
I love that you guys are giving the Max Power era the attention it deserves. Just as important a period in car modding as any other, some of these builds were MENTAL.
Thanks lads!
What t shirt do I need to buy to get a copy of the dvd thrown in? For the modified cars, of course.
The DVD segment was hilarious

â@@ryandavies3070it makes me feel old, because I was a teenager when that came out and I'm definitely older than Will and Edwin.
The Max Power era was something to behold.
Also that DVD must have been terrible, shocking, depraved stuff...are you planning on selling those copies?
You guys should give away a DVD with each shirt purchase, some type of special edition shirt with FTO graphics. Would be a really cool gag type gift.
6:35 That small red button, the car shutting off, and the "eeeeeeeeeeeee" noise make me belive that button is for the flame kit. A lot of modern day flame kits just shut off the power to the engines coilpacks, and route it to the coil for the spark plug in the exhaust. If you want, try revving the car, and holding WOT, and pressing the button. If everything works, the injectors should still pulse fuel into the cylinders, the spark plug in the engine wont do anything, and the raw fuel+air will get ignited as it exits the exhaust.
Exactly as stated, had a âdragons breatheâ flamer kit on my GSi back in the early 00âs and the button kills the coils for the engine and starts the coil for the exhaust. Rev the engine up, press and hold the button whilst keeping WOT and then release the button before the engine stalls đđ»
18:22 the subtlety of this bit is just hilarious đ
Iâm dumb, whats the joke?
@@valen961 There's a sticker of the Car Throttle logo on Edwin's PS2, after the cut its replaced with a TDC sticker
I remember this car back in the mid 2000s, I owned an FTO myself and remember most people in the owners club absolutely hated this thing, hats off to the original owner for trying something different, must have cost an absolute fortune back then as modifying them was either figure it out yourself using parts for other cars or import parts from Japan and incur huge shipping costs

Max power, nuts magazine and channel 5 after midnight. I miss the 2000s. Love the channel TDC â€ïž
Shooting stars, bottom, euro trash. The times we had. I don't think I ever bought Max Power...but I did buy Fast Car and Revs. Revs was my favourite.
Oh my god. Lee Martins Saxo!! That brings back HUGE memories!!!
That car is simply iconic and like you said for guys our age (Iâm 39) max power is THE car generation!!
Cannot wait to see more of this!!
Oh my god, this car is a relic of the mid 2000's, it's glorious. You guys should 100% restore it as at least a show car...and rip that DVD to internet archive!
The best part for me was the last 15 seconds of the video.
I've worked on and build a fair share of ICE and Hi-Fi systems in the past. So it was really satisfying to see the screens in working order.

If anything, I would at least send it out to get polished/cleaned up as best as it can. For the most part the interior doesnât seem to be too terrible either, but the whole car needs to be disinfected. As a precaution.
Color-matching would be infeasible in so many different ways, but maybe new door handles?
My silver PS2 still gets used to this day - bought new in 2003, amazing bit of kit! Remember this car from back in the day đ
2:38 smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast Is a red dwarf reference! Pffft are you even British boys? âșïž
It's cool what you can do with addressable LEDs today but there is something about the neon glow you just can't beat.
Weirdly this is probably the most excited I've been for any of the cars you boys have worked on to date! It is just so ridiculous! And Cool!
I love TINA!!! Tina to get it on with the FTO Reunion and you'll get to 10 million subscribers!!!
My mum and stepdad used to have a red FTO when I was younger. It was the V6 with Mivec and it went pretty well at the time. 197bhp wasn't bad back then. Always had a soft spot for them.
love the hidden bottle in the top left xD 12:18
18:34 juiced 2 was very good, I remember a specific achievement that was very difficult, something like 5 million points or other absurd amount of uninterrupted drift points that you needed to do.
I remember the day I got it, I couldn't even celebrate it out loud because it was very late and I was playing in secret, with the TV on mute hahaha
Iâve owned over 50 cars and the FTO was by far my favourite. Mine was a limited edition and mapped. V6 Mivec was a beast (until it blew up). đ
I rarely see any Mitsubishi cars on UK roads anymore!
âŠïž
Bring back this era of the UK car scene!
I Had a 1995 FTO GPX "back in the day". Engine was awesome (unless you needed to change the back 3 plugs) but the auto box was *awful*. Handled well though. And sounded great.
Great video, as an FTO owner for 20 years and being in my late teens / early 20s during the max power / fast car era this brings back lots of memories.
I love how Rory came running when it got "much worse"
You gotta sell those DVDs as merch.
Best video yet! I had a GTO back in the day, fond memories of these kinds of cars.
I remember as a kid going to a car show with my dad and in a sea of classic muscle cars was a Japanese compact with Lambo doors, underglow, and a ps2 in it with custom interior. Definitely a sign of the 2000s.
My high school English teacher imported one of these and drove it to school every day and I thought she was the coolest woman in the world for that. Gran Turismo 2 Taeivon Trampio feelings.
The boot reveal, I was just expecting to see tina's lifeless corpse.
Unreal nostalgia in this one. Please do get everything working and trailer it to shows like you suggest at the end!! Really looking forward to seeing all of the cool features come back to life!
Really looking forward to seeing more of this awesome time machine ! I really like the max power era, since it expressed the freedom to do whatever you want/can with your car. Even if not all of those cars were looking good or to be taken serious ... all of them were the opposite of boring or standard and they still bring people together.
I love where this channel is going. Mightycarmods but less commercial. Keep it up â€
Ya they didn't shove a nine grand haltech ECU into a car bought on marketplace.
10:56 - Loving the Red Dwarf sticker at the back next the exhaust flames. Admiral Ace Rimmer would be proud.
Good video - Keep up the good work, full respect from the North East
Best .. Car.. Ever.. straight out of underground 2. Just love the 2000s vibes that it gives off
These a such a fun little car when they're not rusted through and full of electronics and wiring they don't need (at least, not for the show business). It's sad that I knew the engine was untouched just from the startup xD. This is such a childhood hit from the early 2000s, and games like Juiced (The OG one anyway) really helped with keeping these things cool. I own one now a GPX COTY, it's mint. Very cool to see this one
9:40 Tom is an absolute LAD :D

I remember so many Max Power magazines and even a "how to" book for modifying your car back when I was a wee lad đ€Ł I used to think that having massive exhausts (or multiple of them) was the coolest thing ever.
Iâve still got that book Haynes Modifiedđ got the Fiesta one aswell đđ»đ€Ł

Maaan i loved Max Power builds, used to read the mag in the mid 90s. Cracking video, the FTO deserves all the love you can give her
Man, FTOâs are the bomb!! They looked great, sounded great, handled great⊠just didnât perform great! If these came awd and had an evo 2.0T engine they wouldâve been amazing! Also, these were so damn expensive to insure⊠it was cheaper to insure for me with a clean record than a TT supra auto that I ended up getting. Parts for the FTO were hard to come by. Do this car justice, try something wild if you can. Subbed for this beauty!
I know it's a long shot, but you should do a proper Juiced tribute to this car (yes, I said juiced because this car was actually in the game, ulike nfs or midnight club).
What I mean by tribute. A proper tuneup (a cheap ebay turbo or SC), nos, the works. You already got the Nos, and the "proper" cosmetic modifications in place.
"But that all quickly changed with the arrival of Tina" - up pops the advert with Tina Fey in it.
Not the Tina I was expecting đ
Now this is what the people want to see! Super fun stuff lads. You have to sell those DVDs as merch, hahaha.
I'm just a bit younger than you guys and the only thing I know these kinds of cars from are the old f&f movies. I'm so sad I missed out on those days, so it's awesome to see you get exited about it

This is incredible. The most early noughties thing I've ever seen. Reminds me of buying a 300ZX TT back in 2005 and then realising I could barely afford to run it, never mind modify it (although I would be the first to admit I had aspirations to go full NFSU with it).
