I'm curious about this machine shop. On your last build, I noticed your pistons wernt numbered. When they bore and hone a block, they fit each piston to its respective hole. No pistons are alike. +/- .001 to .0015 even more. That's why they HAVE to machine the bores to fit the pistons. Heck, even bearings are off .0003 or more!! You can buy a cheap dial bore gauge and just buy a nice mitutoyo indicator that will pop right in or just buys some beers for your pappy n laws buddy!! There are some VERY good machine shops in mn. Ron at Cedar machine, jake at Sampson engines or matt at ruthless racing. Dudes know there stuff.
    Hope all works out.

I used wagaman brother machine shop. Honestly I wouldn't recommend them to anyone their attention to detail is horrible I just couldn't find anyone else to use at the time. I'm definitely looking for a new machine shop a good one in MN is hard to come by for LS stuff.

How did you wire your headlight up ?? I’m having that issue with my 87 Bird

I wired the halos into my fog light switch. The main headlights are wired into stock locations if I remember correctly I did have to move the pins into a different spot in the connectors.

Hey, a quick question. I have the same Fitech LS Ultimate fuel injection system and as well the Fitech wire harness that comes with it. I am putting a 5.3 LS motor in a 1992 Mustang. I just watched your other video where you showed the hydro lock damaged motor in the car. My question is, did the Fitech system give you the "bad injector / injector not firing" code?? I want to make sure as I have just got my motor back from the machine shop and am now in process of assembling trans and bell housing to the the motor. I am also curious as to how you wired the new switch that allows you to turn over the motor without the ignition and injectors. Have you got a wiring diagram? That is actually a really good idea. Thanks!

I was getting a injector fault on the fitech handheld. I had to Run to work when I came back to start it the next day that happened. Ive also heard of some faulty injectors being stuck open do to the fuel rails having trance amounts of metal left from maching process if your using fitech ones be sure to clean them out. For the safety switch I just wired a simple toggle switch on the 12v cranking wire to the fitech ECM. With out 12v during cranking it will not fire injectors.

@@Brandon-LSX So you just put the toggle switch in line with the 12V+ keyed power wire that goes to the Fitech ECM, right? That way you can cut off ECM power and still turn the motor over like normal. I appreciate the help, I am not very electrical!! Thanks!

@@Brandon-LSX another question, sorry. Does that kit hook right up to your camaro or do you have to modify it?

@@trashbandit2449 Its pretty straight forward. Just need 12v switched/cranking, fuel pump, and grounds.

What all modifications does one need to do to put a t56 into a 3rd gen?

Its really not that bad. Would need a set of 4th gen clutch pedals. Drill out 2 holes on firewall. Clearance a 1 inch hole on shifter opening
