Good video - not many that cover the VVT. You should also change the cam seals and front main seal during this job. They’re $5 each, and you’re already in there. And they will leak before the timing belt needs changed again. Then again, that kind of thinking never ends. Might as well change the hoses, might as well change the drive belts, might as well…which makes things pretty expensive.
I agree, this guy was going to be my drift car so I wasn’t too worried about it. But yes it is very smart to replace all while ur in there I agree!
I am doing the timing belt and the WP right now on a 99. Vid is a help, thanks.
Glad it helped
nice job on the still camera stuff but you gotta cut out out the fast camera stuff. thx for making the effort.
Thanks for the tip
Box of gloves, you bare hand it👍
Depends on the day 😂
I just did this job but I got a p0012 code over retarded on the camshafts what do you guys thing I messed up the timing?
Correct
man how did u out the can gear back on
I didn’t take it off, but use a torque wrench and tighten as mush as possible and use a wrench to hold the cam to torque to spec
Just snapped the piece where the water pump connects to the alternator and I’m fukin terrified because I’m going to do all this.
where you buy your vvt?
I bought the baby sensor and actuator on fb marketplace for $40 I got very lucky!
