  • How to replace a timing belt, and water pump, on an f22, or f23 4 cylinder Accord. This is the same Aisin kit #TKH-006 for some Acura CL, and Odyssey vans with the F engine within these years.

Great video man. Really enjoyable and informative. Wish I had your experience. I have an 01 accord with an F23a1 that has 280k miles and could use some attention to the leaking rear main seal and some likely leaks on the front side of the motor that are cost prohibitive to have a garage repair them. Nonetheless, videos such as yours help further the understanding of those that have no background in auto repair and a great place to learn.

I just put an identical AISIN kit from RockAuto onto a 2007 Accord. The kit really was excellent, at least as good as the OEM parts on it. To my surprise, the crank bolt was clearly a virgin, despite the fact there were over 200,000 km on the engine. Not a virgin after I was through with it, ha ha. Needed a 3/4 breaker bar with a long cheater pried against an extra jack stand, plus the $20 tool. High mass sockets don't fit into that tool, and a 3/4 air tool was a bust, literally.

Second question did everything correct? Everything’s lined up perfectly balance shafts are perfect but I’m still getting a winding sound and some type of noise seems like it’s coming Through the valve cover like some sort of groaning sound.
