I need you as passenger every time I drive! Best hype girl ever! Nice job capturing the Taco!
So fun!! And next time you gotta teach me how to drift in a Supra 😆
@@ChloeKuoI saw your one vid bout touch up paint & you did an exquisite job but say you had a small dent on it & paint was chipped & it was a brand new car & cuase of ya insurance the dealer is chargimg $500 to fix it would you still use touch up paint or get it fixed out if curiosity & can you answer fast as you can im curious
For me, the small backseat in my third gen was too small for car seats. I had to scoot the passenger seat up to fit my oldest son’s front facing seat. When we had my second son, his rear facing seat took up even more room. I’m 6’2”, so the leg room I had with the seat all the way back was perfect, but with the car seats, I had to sit much further up.
Ultimately, I ended up having to let it go and get a Tundra.
I am a true blue Tacoma enthusiast, but they’re just not great if you’re taller and have to tow kiddos around in car seats.
Well do you like the Tundra? Does it have any room issues? Does it fit your family?
No problem with me but that's probably because my family is asian, the tallest is 5'6". 😆
Stay the course. The kids aren't in seats forever
The innovations Toyota has with the new Tacoma Pro is crazy. Love the technology as well as the software the 14” screen has.
"Yea, yea , yea, when is the new 4 runner reveal?"
~ every truck enthusiast.
Exactly. I want this Tacoma pretty badly but I feel like they'll reveal the 4Runner shortly after I buy one and I'll be pissed! lol
Just recently hydroplane my 2020 Tacoma, Trd, off-road, and it saved my life
I will be getting the pro most definitely ❤
@@JustNope7 well i really drifted it was a straight away and the lane gradually turned left and it was rainy and windy .
Love that white tacoma trd pro! I just can't afford 1100 a month payment and that is without insurance. I'd rather keep my 3rd gen for now and travel the world.
Just keep driving your 3rd gen and enjoy your life free of debt burden. 😂
White chip and peal
the fact that it has solid state battery in the portable speaker is some real attention to detail. they finally addressed it, i was wondering all along think it was a dumb idea
I can’t wait to get my hands on one.
You offer great commentary on these vehicle reviews. I enjoyed your video… Keep it up! TY.
The pro looks amazing ❤
Your laughter & totally elevated stoke was so great 😂🤣 I’m not about the red seats, but for you (and especially since you have the channel), I’d say they’re a no brainer. Plus, you stand out against them. Very cool. I’m personally not about the hybrid, and I’m wary of the 1st year or two of any automaker’s releases, so I think I might stay away from this one. I’d be a Trailhunter (6 foot bed), but I do like the look of the Pro. I’m looking at a Tundra Limited w/the TRD package & lift. It just fits what I’ll be doing with it 90% of the time. Anyway, fantastic watch, and excited to roll your new baby into the garage & see what you do with it!
Love this in-depth review! It’s a gorgeous truck! Love the new design, especially the white with the red interior! They really stepped up their game on the new ones! The TRD pro specs are awesome! Best looking midsize truck
Cool vid. I like the look of the Pro. I currently have a 21 Off-Road and this one is one I would probably go with. Yet, all depends on price and how badly the dealers with markups
Looks like a miniture ford raptor. Pretty badass looking for a compact truck. I think Toyota nailed it on this refresh for sure.
Love the new 2024 TRD Pro. I got the '21 TRD Pro in Lunar Rock. I wouldn't trade, but as time comes, I will.
I remember doing a simulation ride on the hummer when they first came out. Almost felt like it was going to roll at one point in the course.
That dark Grey is sick
Wayyyyyyyyy better than the white in my opinion. The dark grey doesn't show all of the crazy new angles, corners and details. Like that way better. white shows it too much.
It's called underground grey and depending on the lighting it can look lighter
Love this truck!
as i see more and more of the 24 trd pro i realize i made the best choice of getting the last 23 trd pro manual's the v6 will outlast these over strained 4 cyl i have not a single regret.
Great video looking forward to the next one
Ah!!! I didn’t know this was happening!! I would have been there! Especially if I knew you were there! lol those 360 cameras are so awesome!!!!
Next year....
This is awesome, thanks for sharing. I'm not sure i would buy a Pro - i would probably just get the Offroad and upgrade the suspension. But I'm an old guy. 😄
I'm so tired of people complaining about the new drivetrain. Toyota has never made an unreliable drivetrain. I can't wait for the sweet, sweet low-end torque of the turbo!
all the guys getting shortblock and turbo replacements on their new tundras would beg to differ lol
@Hengsha can you back this up? What is this the new hybrid tundras?
4cy and the 2nd door Windows f it up for me, everything else 👍👍
The Tacoma is my favourite truck at the moment with the styling and the new rear suspension combined with the i-FORCE MAX Hybrid powertrain standout features for me. With the availability of a manual transmission on some models a bonus for a small percentage of people.
😎👍🇦🇺
You and I share the same truck and I do love it. I have to admit though that the 2024 version looks very good :)
It’s beautiful, buy it! Better yet, buy 2.
Toyota is always coming up with new innovations.
I want this exact color trd pro!
Go for it Chloe! That truck fit your personality and the red seats look kool. Fun video!👍💪🏽😄
Why should she be the guinea pig. Unless they give it to her for free. Since you're so excited Why don't you get it.
I wish Toyota would bring this experience to Tampa, Florida! We love Tacomas here too!
I like Tampa but wont want to live there, scared of red tide.
You guys only have flat lands and everything looks the same, so no.
I saw someone who just bought a 2024 and they said a 33-inch tire would be sweet on the new style Taco's.
Great video
Really nice ride the TRD PRO. The lack of back seat is somewhat of a deal breaker but I guess you have to sacrifice something to get something else. The one truck that I'm looking forward to is the new Ford Ranger Raptor with the 3.0 TTV6 more HP but a little less torque but looks like more back seat leg room for sure!!!
Impressive, however how sustainable will the 4 cylinder turbo be. I'm content with my 2020 TRD PRO!
as long as its a 4runner that 3.5 is a turd
@@jameskocks4734the 3.5 is fine. It had issues when new but they’ve all been worked out by 2020+ and it gets better gas mileage. Pushes 35s no problem just need gears
@@alexs825They didn't fix a darn thing. The drivetrain in my 2022 is terrible, but I knew it would suck when I bought it. Gears are a massive and very expensive upgrade - you can't expect people to do that. I got the OTT tune which made a big difference but there's still no low-end torque which is inexcusable in a truck.
@@DeuceDeuceBravo yea but they extended the wheelbase and made it wider with no travel increase. Already the truck is too long for off-road stock, lifting and 35s was really helpful to not turtle all the time. Imo gears are not expensive. Just most will put $3k of lights on their rig and not regear. It’s only a bit more than a front bumper these days. If you can do the labor it’s less than a grand. Most who complain about the 3.5L torque have their trucks severely overloaded which is your own fault. Should’ve known when going 1,000 pounds over payload. I’ve never needed more torque most the time just need lower gearing and this new gen doesn’t have a 4:1 transfer case option so not really gonna improve much. Maybe with the larger rear diff you can run something lower than 5.29s but will take 5 years probably for those to get released
@@DeuceDeuceBravo they fixed reliability issues people had with early 3.5L. Adjusted some maintenance intervals now they’re fine
Great video and info on TRD model. Does this new TRD PRO model can handle 35s with stock lift without rubbing?
It's an amazing truck. I want a new tacoma. I had a 98 SR5 4x2, so nothing special and it wasn't a off-raod truck. I do have a 2020 Tundra as a daily/oveland, but I plan on buying the new Tacoma for my overland/offroad rig. When it comes to these new trucks, there isn't much room I guess for modifying or making it more unique huh?
Best review of the PRD Pro ive seen.I really hope its not closer to 70k
It 100% will be 70k OTD easily. Possibly more.
Makes no sense to pay 70k, at that point buy a fully loaded tundra
I wouldn’t mind taking you off-road Baby! Maybe even take the dirt rode home if you would like!
Sweet ride
Does the 2024 TRD Pro only comes in 3 colors (Terra, Ice Cap and Underground)?
Living in Phoenix how did i miss this 😢
what happens if you hit the battery pack on a rock or you cross a river is it sealed?
Oh thats a nice truck
I’m a digital media editor and the media screen is just what I need to hook up my MacBook Pro to do my video editing!!
Its the Trailhunter for me! I have no need for a desert racer, but cool truck. I need an backcountry overland capable rig.
This might be my first truck next time too
This was a great video Chloe good information on the Toyota tacoma TRD pro I definitely learn a lot. Keep up the good content 😎💪
My biggest drawback with this truck is the Turbo 4 banger hybrid. I know Toyota has been making engines for forever and they're very reliable so I'm not super concerned with the engine, however, when you add a turbo and a battery component it just adds to the inevitability of having big issues down the line. I know they're trying to please the EPA, but they really should have just put in a turbocharged V6. This truck just won't have the same reliability as the other generations so I'm hesitant on buying. Love the exterior though.
My thoughts exactly.
Toyota uses the excuse of gas emissions. Nissan Frontier still has a V6
The Honda "Ridgeline" still has a V6
You can still get the Chevy "Colorado" with the V6.
( I do not know about the ford "Ranchero") 🤷🏼♀️ ?
But I say , for sure, Toyota's excuse is pure *"Bull-💩💩💩"* !❕️!
Time will tell, not interested in the truck until 2-3 versions down the road.
@@icosthop9998well it's not bs. Nissan is going to be behind EPA with no data on turbo engines. This is the start of the Tacomas i4 turbo. Their other turbo CUV, SUVs have been proven to be fairly more reliable than it's competitor.
NA is definitely easier to work on but knowing turbos enough especially modern ones, they can be reliable. My sister's i4 turbo accord has had 160k miles problem free.
Regardless, the old v6 was gutless. You forget Toyota is conservative, so they aren't going to push power beyond engine limitations compared to other manufacturers
@@icosthop9998but if you want old school then buy other old school trucks. I'm definitely buying this TRD Pro, they did the new generation right to be a part of the future and not the past like Nissan especially if you're going to pay new car price. Makes no sense to pay 45k minimum on antique technology. I have no problem with Toyota and Honda Turbos.
@@icosthop9998Putting a 4-cylinder in a compact car or SUV makes sense but not in a truck. A truck needs enough horsepower/torque and displacement to carry cargo and pull a trailer without working the engine too hard. GM claimed that customers wouldn't miss the 6-cylinder gas engine or 4-cylinder diesel in the Canyon/Colorado because the 4-cylinder gas engine was supposed to produce similar horsepower/torque and get better fuel economy. The 2024 Tacoma only gets 24 MPG on the highway. In Australia, the Ford Ranger is available with a 3.0L V6 diesel that makes 443 LB-FT, 247 HP, and gets about 28 MPG. John at LHT Performance put the V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission from a 2020 Silverado into a 2020 Colorado and got about 28-30 MPG on the highway. If the V6 and V8 get better gas milage in a mid-sized truck compared to a 4-cylinder, then what is the point of the 4-cylinder? czcams.com/video/m2qExaEwn0g/video.htmlsi=XEheKXQ6ekWnyG4A
Are the seats powered in the TRD Pro with the shock absorbing seats?
I found a dealer doing MSRP on it no dealer ad ons im stoked! Putting my deposit down this week! The Pro is the way to go!
Yooo, what’s sweet! Did they tell you what MSRP was? Or nah
@@sungyuri1983 they did not I’m assuming it will be around 57k plus TTL from everything I’ve seen on the Limited and so forth. I would assume the Trailer Hunter will be priced more than TRD Pro tbh due to set up and capability and more expensive components from the manufacturer tailored towards the true overland enthusiasts. I’ll keep you posted once I have pricing updates. It could be a year to get one even with limited production and inventory we’ll see what allocations look like. It looks like 2024’s are definitely starting to roll in AZ at least but who knows for the Pro/Trail Hunter what sort of inventory we’ll see in the first couple of years!
They should have kept the V6 engine for 2024. Plus the 3rd gen is better looking in my opinion. These are the reasons I bought my 2023 Tacoma.
Personally, I'm glad Toyota slimmed down that awkwardly large grill for 2024. I do agree with keeping the V6 part though.
I can’t wait to upgrade my 2019 Pro to a 2024. I have had a deposit with a local dealer since last April at MSRP.
Do you know what MSRP it has?
@@andrewruiz1256 Not yet, no official announcement. It should be priced competitively with $60k Colorado Bison and $57k Ford Raptor Ranger. Im predicting low $60’s since it’s a hybrid powertrain.
Does the 14 in screen only comes in the trd pro?
What tires do you have on your tacoma in this video? 285/75/16?
Yes I agree just lease the new one
What is there left to mod on this thing?! It literally has everything and then some!
I know you were not driving but could you feel more power with the I force hybrid
Anyone know what the mileage numbers are for the new TRD Pro?
In 2006, I paid $26500. for a brand new Tacoma double cab, off road 4x4. Today, prices are stupid, simply not worth it.
I agree. Under this video someone said it's priced at fifty three thousand dollars.
Check him out.
I’m sure your salary also went up. You gotta pay to play. I’m sure your taco still running strong
I paid $33k for my 2015 Pre-runner (after 3 hours of negotiating). It would have cost $5,000 more for the 4x4. I wasn't into off-roading back then, but I wish I got the 4x4. I'm definitely trading in to get the new Pro
bruh if I want a 4cyl turbo I'll get a coupe or sedan. 50k for a truck with a 4 cyl no thanks lmao
@@TheMikecanit yeah 👍
Thank for video. Do you know when Trd Pro available on market?
Nice!
I hope you can find a TRD Pro when they finally come out
Finally! You dropped it! Truck looks awesome with the black seats instead of the red. How did the exhaust sound?
It's a 4 cylinder. It sound like crap.
You must be living in 1980@@donm2255
What a truck, I would break the bank and get the grey one
I’d wait for Trump to come back, better rates and it gives them type to fix the problems. I want the Lexus GX 550
Yawn...white,grey,black,silver,red. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
@@AntilleanConfederation I'm looking at the GX 550 also....(always hated how they looked, but the new ones are almost there)
@@shootloadrepeat new one is a hella of a good jump forward. Shame it don’t have a v8 tho. New body plus v8 and it would be my dream suv
I like this truck
Chloe, what do you think of silverados trailboss?
My issue is the backseat shocks, knee shredders in an accident.
True true
I’m a new subscriber to your channel are you able to do more videos on the new 2024 Land Cruiser please?
Get the best of the best if you do! I was debating between the trd offroad vs the pro. Went with the pro! If I’m taking out a loan for either or rather get what I want and the best.
the underground colorway might be the best for the trd pro
I have a question. What happens when you put something in the bed of the truck that obscures the rear view digital camera? Unless I am missing something, Toyota missed the mark by not having the rear view digital camera on the rear tailgate.
8:07 she say you can flip the mirror so you can see what the rear camera is seeing.
So yes you did miss something
@@J.Young808 where is the rear view camera located? Check the video, pretty sure it is located above the rear window and not on the tailgate. The reverse camera is certainly located on the tailgate like the 3rd gen.
I like it, but I’m going to wait. I am curious to see if Toyota brings the budget version of the Hilux to the US.
Is it true they put a tiny ( U) between the T and the R on the bed decal ?
I love the the new Pro. I have a 21, I’ll notice if you get the ISO seats there’s no leg room in rear and if someone is in the back and hit your knee against the shocks it looks like some skin might come off 😢 not hating them they should have some kinda cover unless I didn’t see there is.
Amazing truck. Pass on seats like that and red
Sweet Tacoma, i presently have a 22 OR AC long box, if they offered the same thing in the 24 i would upgrade to it
I’m gonna loose that speaker in the dashboard 😂
Question is is that a 2.4 turbo or 3.5 v6 if it’s 2.4 with turbo nah pass I’ll keep my 17 pro. Let’s go places
Would they let you run your truck on the course with their professional driver? To see performance differences?
That would have been nice.
What are your thoughts on iforce vs iforcemax for a daily driver?
Hi Chloe you are my go-to expert for all things Tacoma. I wonder what advice you would give me as I'm considering a sport versus an off-road. I live in Hawaii not a lot of off-roading just some sand in a few mud puddles here. However it seems that both vehicles are priced relatively the same so I'm thinking even if just for resale value I should get the off-road. Most of my driving will be on the street Don't know which way to go. Any advice is appreciated
How much is the one that kuo has?
Looks good but I’ll take the 4th gen
I believe you have the suspension settings backward. Setting 3 would be the stiffest for offroad use.
Was thinking the same thing. Soft for on road use and hard for higher speed off road/ jumping to not blow through the shock.
@@dustintilton7920 Correct. That is how they were designed. The shock was tuned to be more capable off-road in mode 3.
I want these seats for my 17 trd!! Question is will they fit🤔🤔
Not sure if it’s for me 🙈 . I love my 19 TRD PRO VB.
Full soft for offroad use? Did he get it backward?
Yes, he did.
Glad you can get the TRD Pro with the black seats, not a fan personally of the red seats.
Wow 😮 I love you tacoma
It's a nice truck no doubt about it. It's just to expensive and it won't last for ever. I honestly believe that the Nissan Frontiers/Titans are hands down better then Toyota now!! I just bought a 23 Nissan Titan Pro-4x for $34k out the door!
What is the price for the trd ?
Yay no V6! Run!
Are the iso dynamic seats an option? That’s the only thing I don’t care for.
Everywhere I been looking shows the dynamic seats being part of the trd pro package.
No, all pros will have them. Cannot be deleted.
i force max turbocharged 4 cyl hybrid??? like a turbo charged rav 4 hybrid engine. plus made in mexico??? get the 4runner. 4.0. NA. made in japan
Which rav is turbo?
@@mad-meh2719 no rav 4 is a turbo. what i meant was its like a rav 4 hybrid and the only difference is the added turbo.
Yeah I am not feeling a turbo 4 banger hybrid. That screams issues down the line, even for a reliable brand like Toyota. Wish they made a turbo v6 option
Yeah , I would like a turbo V6 or at least keep the option of owning the trustworthy V6 in 2024 and beyond.
@@adamrosenduft that would have been a better option. 4 cyl turbo is good for a smaller vehicle.
I just bought a 2024 tundra
I want one 😫
I would just like to know the difference in price from the I force engine to the iForce Max very interested in the limited model ?
I want the manual. I need all the storage I can get
9:56 😂😂😂 I developed that software
What’s the mark up for the pro 10K or more I bet especially in so cal. Too much marking up on these Gen 4 Wait till 2025 prices should drop 🤷🏽♂️
